I have not done Digi scrapping...I'm not techi enough for that...besides I spend way to much time in front of this computer as it is
OOHHH Hobby Lobby, we do have one not to far from us...have to keep that in mind. The not spending factor also helps since my closet Archivers closed down ealier this yr...so I really have to want to go there...
Aldine...yes she dabbles w/ me mostly. But we haven't actually finished anything. We started working on a small 4 x 6 album that I bought her (& the other 2 older kids) from Disney in 08 but haven't finished it, but I'm thinking of suggesting she add some pictures from 09 now too. Plus we are working on her Josefina book from this trip. I'm hoping to do some more of that this week, plus it get's me down in my room tooand it's nice to sit and chat too together.
I can't believe I forgot about Josefina's scrapbook. It's so fun that you'll get to do that with her.

I didn't have a CLUE about Digi scrapping 6 months ago either. I got Photoshop Elements for Christmas and took a few classes. Now I really enjoy it...since I can't seem to get out from in front of the computer no matter what I do.

I really like Hobby Lobby most of the time. Their prices are a little lower and they have good sales. Sometimes it's hard to find what I want though.
I saw where you posted on someone's thread (I think Carissa's?) that Michael is really into Gerbils/Hampsters etc right now. Did they see G-Force?

Those are cool pics, Ginny! I love that there are four albums, one for each park.
Yes, Heather, you'll definitely need your pennies and quarters. Mitchell wanted to stop at every penny machine we saw! When we went to Six Flags, that was the first thing he wanted to do. He's totally hooked!![]()
I remember that Will really liked it last time we were there (he was 5 1/2) and both kids are really into "collecting" so I'm planning to be prepared. We'll probably just get them each a roll of quarters at the bank before we leave.
I can so top that. When I was pregnant with Sandi in 1969 I started to crochet a dress for her. So cute. I had it almost done but not quite. In 1973 when Sheri was 2 I ripped it up and made her a poncho. I used to be quite crafty. I did make the girls a lot of matching outfits. Sandi was smaller than Sheri even tho she is 2 1/2 year older so everyone thought they were twins. Then I did a lot of needlework after I quit sewing. I think the last thing I actually made was an embroidered quilt for my mom's 60th birthday. I did half, my sis did half. We put it together and had it machine quilted. My mom is now 85 so what does that tell you. A few years ago mom gave the quilt back to me cause she was downsizing some of her stuff. It has been in my attic for 3 years.
I did make a new photobucke account last night for all my cousins to post family pictures on and tag so we can share what is going on in our lives. Pretty crafty, huh?![]()
Sharing pictures is crafty no matter how you do it. The whole point of scrapbooking is to share pictures/stories. Or at least that's how I do it. One of the new "trends" in scrapbooking is to make semi-scrapbooks out of regular photo albums. You just put the pictures in and every so often you put in a 4x6 card (decorated or undecorated) that explains what's going on in the pictures. I might do that with those albums if I get them. Helps the future generations have a little more of a clue.

HI! Heather,
sounds like a lot of work; but, I bet it is so rewarding when complete. I have a photo album for Gwendolyn, started on for Dayne (did not take as many photos) and Ashton is on his third, not to mention he family albums. I don't scrapbook! Probably would like it just never tried.
Well, hope packing and getting things to together is flowing...
have a great day!

It is very rewarding when I finish something...especially as it happens so rarely. I love to go back and look at my pages...and the kids love it even more. I don't really scrap chronologically. I don't have 1st year albums for either of the boys (though I do have a few pages of each). I tend to want to scrap my favorite pictures, so I just do whatever I'm in the mood for. Something is better than nothing.
Most importantly I TAKE the pictures. Even if I don't get to scrapping them until I retire (of course, I have to actually GET a job to retire from it), at least I have the pictures. And I write a journal to the boys (they each have one) every so often (it usually ends up being about once a month, but I try to do it more often). Between that, my own journal (which I get to about twice a year), my blog, and message boards like this one, most of the stories are written down somewhere when I get ready to scrap them.
I finished working on a couple things in Photoshop tonight. I might be able to share them tomorrow if I actually do something other than FALL ASLEEP (which is what I did today) when I get back from walking tomorrow.
