yes there is a huge age difference with my kids, I had the older ones when I was 16, 18 and 19 years old so by the time I was 35 my kids were all off doing their own thing and I missed having kids around. So we decided to have one more.
here is a picture when I first got the tattoo, it was bright and colorful then and I was thinner, it was about 7 years ago I think.

That's a cute tattoo. Did it fade a lot then? I'm a wuss, so I don't have any tattoos yet (maybe one day I'll be brave??)

I'm just a few minutes away from Red Rock too! I'm by the Sahara Library sort of, off of Lake North, this is actually our third house in the lakes, we like it here. We have lived here 10 years now. Do you collect disney? My house full of things, I finally slowed down and stopped collecting so much!

Wow, you are really close. I know exactly where the library is. That's the one we go to all the time. We actually live in the Peccole Ranch area. I could probably walk to the library. Well, you know, if I wasn't so lazy that is.

We've been here, renting, since July of '07. Prior to that we were in Northern Michigan from '04 to '07. And before that I grew up in SoCal. Los Angeles, Glendale and then Burbank. My husband was born and raised in L.A. too.

We used to travel here to Vegas on vacation often, so when we grew tired of the winters in MI, we decided to give it a try. So far, so good.

I don't really collect Disney. I love it, and grew up going to Disneyland, but I'm just not into collecting. I think I have two snow globes and that is the extent of my collection. lol
I bet your collection is amazing!

being as I'm new I thought I'd post a pic of me and my family, this is my husband, me, my little one who is 5 now, my daughter 20 and son 21, my oldest son 23 is not in this pic. This is my pre-surgery pic, I gained a little since then. I'm due to have another surgery next month and hopefully my last! Nothing life threatening, I had some huge fibroids that were making me miserable, I was swollen so bad I could hardly walk. They were pushing on some blood vessels and I was dizzy all the time, so they removed everything, (no more periods yay!), and I got better and was feeling great again. But then I went and herniated my belly button where the incision was and now I have to go back and get it fixed. This is my 7th surgery! Needless to say I hope the last! Luckily I'm a stay home mom so it's not too bad, but my 5 year old keeps me running! I just turned 40, I have two cats, one looks like mickey mouse, I will have to find a pic and post it. I'm a big Disney collector, but don't spend as much now. I have a Cheshire Cat tattoo on my arm which always seems to surprise people I guess I don't seem like the type? LOL! I've lived in Vegas for 11 years now, grew up in San Clemente, CA. My mom went to Disneyland as a teen and I would go any chance I got, but ironically I have never been to WDW!! One day I hope to visit. I don't go out much, I've always been into my kids I guess.
Anyway now you know a little more about me than just the cheshire cat pic ;-)

I am a stay at home mom too, although I guess now I don't really need to be as my kids are in school all day. I just can't seem to get motivated to go back into work. And whatever I did, I'd only want part time anyway as I need to be there when they go to school and get home. Eh, we'll see....


My hats off to you by the way for having the energy to have another when your other kids were already older. I have four kids, Adam is 15, Noelle is 13, and my twin girls Lindsey and Hannah are 9. I cannot imagine having another one at this point. LOL I'm too tired!

I hope this surgery is the last and it goes smoothly for you. Do you have family in the area to help? I hope so. That's my big problem with being here. All our family is either in CA or MI.

I grew up in San Clemente, too. Well, that is until we moved allll the way to Capo Beach when I was in high school. I am 49, my sister is 46, brother is 40, my two stepchildren are 37 and 34. All five of us gradutates of San Clemente High School. My DD23 graduated from Dana Hills. My dad still lives in Capo Beach, on Via California, the street goes over the 5 above the Beach Cities offramp and has a view of Dana Point Harbor. Are you familiar with that area? Small world, small world...wow.

So, are you thinking of joining us for a few of our fun adventures in June?

oh my goodness it is a small world! I lived on Via Catalina in Capo Beach, my kids went to Palisades Elementary! Before that I lived in Dana Point on Golden Lantern, and before that we lived off of Via Califia by Trestles, I also went to San Clemente High School!! Wow that's so funny!

It would be great fun to meet up with you guys in June if I can ;-)

yes it did fade, I am out in the sun a lot and being in Vegas I really get cooked! I'd like to get it touched up but it seems so pointless at this point lol!

yes I could walk to the Library if I wasn't so lazy too! haha! I drive thru Peccole all the time to get to Atlanta Bread Co, I love their pastries or to Home Depot. I used to walk in the Paseo's all the time too, but they torn out the cottonwoods and it's not as shady now.

My mom and dad lived in L.A. when I was born, I was born at the Hollywood Presbyterian hospital. We moved to Orange County when I was a kid.

Sometimes I wish I didn't collect so much Disney! I think of all the money I spent and now it's all over my house! I always said I should have only collected miniatures!!!

If you ever see a chubby blonde in a white bug with the plates "DIZ BUG" that's me!!!

We've met up a few times for lunch and such, but they are in Centennial Hills and Henderson, so neither are all that close to me. We usually meet someplace neutral when we go out like Town Square or down on the Strip.

But, this is my last tax season. I get to quit and work in the tatt shop full time. I am the quiet, angel of the bunch.
