June 14th...I had to wake my son up at 3am to be at the airport at 5:00am.
To backtrack a little Friday evening I had a feeling my son was getting sick, all he wanted to do was lay around & he complained his throat hurt. I took him into the doc's for a strep test & it was negative.
Anyway on the 14th when I woke him up I knew he was running a fever. I was going to take his temp & he got sick. So we got him cleaned him up & had to run out the door.
When we got to the airport, I retook his temp & he was running a fever of 101.4F. Of course our plane was delayed 45 mins, all my son wanted to go was sleep. I gave him some Motrin to bring down his fever (I brought two bottles with). During our wait to board the plane, my son got sick again at the airport
We finally board & our flight to Atlanta was pretty uneventful as my son slept the whole flight. When we did arrive in Atlanta my son was so sick, his fever had sky rocketed to 103F. (By this time I was second guessing this whole trip)
We had another delay at Atlanta for an hour. But my son just slept the whole time.
When we finally arrived in Orlando, my son looked awful. Our town car was waiting for us & I told him not to worry about the grocery store stop, just to get to the resort.
We were staying at CBR & there was a HUGE line to check in! My poor son just wanted to get in a bed & sleep, I was stressed because I was worried about him...it was not a pretty picture.
We FINALLY get into our room, I check my son's temp again & it was up to 105F (this was with Motrin in him) so I called the front desk to find out the nearest hospital because I could not get his fever down. The front desk was wonderful, they quickly sent over EMTs & they checked him over. They stayed with him until his fever was down to 102.
Afterwards, we left to the urgent care clinic & my son got another strep test, since he was still complaining his throat hurt. That one too turned out negative. So they called it a "virus"
They send us home & my son went right to sleep.
It was a VERY LOOOOOONG day for everyone!
