Really quick everyone, Steph reminded me about Facebook, so I made one yesterday! :cool1: Here's the link and hope you guys will add me!

BTW, he slept for 4 hours straight last night! 12:50am-4:40am! :yay::yay:

Also, does anyone know how to pay for the dining plan using gift cards??

You have to pay for the dining plan at the time of booking, but gift cards have 16 digit numbers just like credit cards and they can be used in almost the same manner, just read the numbers off the gift card to person booking the reservation.

And DON'T get rid of the card until after you successfully take your vacation! If for any reason you have to cancel they will refund the card you used to pay for it, so if you don't have that card any more, you don't get the refund. I know from experience.

Also just a side note, you can also pay for your DVC dues with a gift card. Back when the supermarkets were offering killer deals for buying gift cards through them, we would buy gift cards for all our purchases through the grocery store first to get the points and savings. I guess it worked too well because they stopped offering it. :sad2:

Sent friend request

That is great that Calvin slept so long :)

I'm glad to hear Calvin slept a bit longer the other night. I'd be dying if I was only getting 4 hours of sleep per night. I sent you a friend request, I can't wait to see the new pics of Calvin!

I'm finally able to walk 'correctly' although I still feel a few stitches down there, but not nearly how it was in the beginning.
I'm glad you're feeling better. Those first few weeks are such a rough time to get through.

Sleep? What the HECK is that?! :lmao: He's sleeping for 2 - 2 1/2 hour stretches at night, but then stays up for about 45 minutes after that. So i'm getting about 4 hours of sleep TOTAL at night. And the one major piece of advice I've always gotten is, "Sleep when he sleeps" but it's difficult to do that when you're trying to keep the house clean, trying to keep up on loads of laundry, pay bills, pump, feed him, change him, and run errands.
I'm glad he had a four hour stretch now. Hope it's the start of something. We got one 7-hour stretch so far, a couple of 6s, but most nights have a 4-5 followed by a 3 or so (she's 5.5 weeks old now). I hope Calvin's heading that direction! I know what you mean about it being hard to sleep when they do. I do during the night and I end up taking one daytime 1-2 hour nap with her most days, but the little 20 minute naps she sporadically takes during the day are the only times I have to do anything else (like right now!)

I've decided to go back to work slowly, starting next Tuesday. I'll only be working two days a week for a few hours, but I need to get out of the house. I really think i'm going insane here. I always thought I would love to be at home, but for me, it's awful.
Wow, back to work already! I hope it goes well. I'm glad you can ease back into it. I always thought I'd love being home too, but I definitely know what you mean about wanting to get out of the house sometimes. It's tough (but getting better as time goes on).

TRIP IS COMING UP QUICK!!! And i'm secretly scared but not letting anyone know it, but I still have some time to get used to this mother thing.
Good luck! I'm sure it will go well and I'm excited to hear about it (though secretly glad that our first trip with our little one will be Dec. 2013...I've got another year to get used to it :thumbsup2). I've seen so many people say that they are really easy to travel with when they're as young as Calvin, though, so I bet you'll have an awesome trip.

I swear, I feel like something is always going wrong. I found a lump in my left breast last week, that I assumed was a clogged milk duct. Then I started looking up information about it, and it's supposed to hurt and be painful to the touch and is usually accompanied by a fever. But it doesn't hurt and I haven't gotten a fever. I called my Doctor on Friday and told them I would watch it over the weekend to see if it would get smaller. Nothing. They made an appointment at the Breast Clinic for next Wednesday for an ultrasound. I feel like I just can't catch a break to breathe. I'm hoping this WDW trip will allow me to do so.

Speaking of our trip, I just added him to our flights! :cool1: HOWEVER () United had decided to change our seats without even sending an email to tell me about it, so now I had to seat us way in the back. I had made these flight reservations the 7th of June so that we could be in the middle of the plane over the wings for less turbulence for my mom (since that's what scares her) But had I not looked up my reservation to add Calvin, we would have all been separated! I could call and complain about this, and I should, but am just not in the mood to deal with it.

Also, I'll be making our one night hotel stay before our flight sometime this week. So i'm researching hotels right now to see which one is best. Any one have any recommendations for a hotel 'stayparkandfly'??? ALISON???? ;)

If Calvin doesn't wake up soon, i'll be calling DVC to pay for the dining plan and I will DEFINITELY be keeping my gift cards.

ETA: As soon as I submitted this reply, Calvin started crying. Just my luck!!!

 I hope that lump is nothing important. I'm sorry to hear that your seats got all switched up. That would surely piss me off. I hear ya on just not feeling like dealing with it though. I definitely get that way sometimes, and I don't have any infants wearing me out :rotfl: Hope your week gets better!

Alicia,
We've done the Four Points by Sheraton for our only Park and Fly. I think (waaaaay back when) it was something like $219 for 10 days. I just remember arriving at 11PM exhausted from trying to get packed. The bar was still open and we had dinner there. It was pretty good, but I do remember they had this Belgian Beer that Fran loves, it's a raspberry beer. I also remember that the thread count on the sheets was HEAVENLY! For the four or so hours of sleep I got, it was awesome. So that should be right up your alley! :lmao: ;)

Thanks me too! I think if there weren't so many other things to worry about, i'd be looking into it, but there are other priorities as of now.

I know I had asked you before where you had stayed at but I forgot..of course :upsidedow I was actually looking at that one because it got great reviews! Was the shuttle nice? I'm thinking it will be much easier lugging around everything (stroller, baby, Dan :rotfl2:) by doing this then parking at LAX itself. Lot C shuttles drivers usually make you feel like you're going too slow, so i'm hoping the hotel shuttle drivers won't make us feel like that. I have a feeling we're going to need a little bit of time getting in and loading.

I hope the lump ends up being nothing. That can be scary not knowing.

Thanks Pam. I'm hoping they'll be able to tell me as soon as it shows on the screen what it is, instead of having me wait forever. I hope this trip gets here fast. When do you leave for your trip?

When we did the stay, park and fly. We caught the 5:30AM shuttle. I just remember it was crowded. That was probably five years ago, so by now they have probably got a new shuttle.

I hope they don't make you wait too long after the scan before saying anything.

I leave Thursday December 6. The countdown has been going for a while but I don't start to get really excited until a week or so before leaving. I always think of everything I have to 'get through' before I can leave.

Any more pictures of Calvin?

It's so exciting that the trip is so close! You definitely deserve a vacation :goodvibes

Hopefully the bump is nothing. I have had more breast ultrasounds in the past few years than I care to count and they have all been nothing to worry about. Try not to stress, most likely it's nothing or maybe a cyst.

Oh gosh, hope it won't be too crowded. Or at least i'm hoping for some gracious people who won't mind slow people!

:rotfl2: That's how I am right now! Usually I get really excited about 2 months before the trip, but like you said, i'm waiting to get through a few things, then i'll be excited.

Pics coming right up! :)

I'm hoping it will be a cyst and nothing more than that. Have you had a cyst before Heather? Have you had them removed?

Some pictures may look a little grainy because they were taken with my phone.
