Congratulations on your new blessing! He's beautiful! Loved reading your birth story and seeing your pics. Btw-you were looking great throughout the delivery-lucky you!
As far as the tearing goes take it easy the next couple weeks and be careful lifting anything heavy and climbing stairs. When I had my son I had a complete tear and rushed myself to heal and ended up needing surgery.
Its all so worth it though to hold a sweet baby in your arms :-)

Yikes! Good for you! Now I know why I'll never be able to have kids!

I hope you heal fast and get the hang of breastfeeding. He is definitely cute, take care of you and your family!

Congratulations Lesha - he is so adorable!

Hope you are all doing well, thank you for the update - very impressed you were able to do that! :goodvibes

Congrats on the new addition to the family, great pictures. I'm glad everything went so well. Enjoy the downtime with your wee one :goodvibes

I love the picture of you holding him and looking at him. It's such a perfectly captured moment! I hope you're all doing well!

Congratulations and welcome to the Mommy Club! Good luck with the breastfeeding, I tried with my older son, but it didn't go well. Surprisingly enough it was easier with my twins who I fed tandom at the same time! Once you get the hang of it, it will get much easier....

Hey! Hope all is well, I know your most likely totally tied up with Calvin!! Any who, can't wait for more trip details now that he's here!!

Hooray!! So happy to hear that Calvin finally made his debut! Many congrats and he is precious! Enjoy every second!

I am tired and falling so behind on everything! I'm so sorry for the lack of updates but it's been pretty crazy, as you can imagine.

I'm finally able to walk 'correctly' although I still feel a few stitches down there, but not nearly how it was in the beginning.

Sleep? What the HECK is that?! :lmao: He's sleeping for 2 - 2 1/2 hour stretches at night, but then stays up for about 45 minutes after that. So i'm getting about 4 hours of sleep TOTAL at night. And the one major piece of advice I've always gotten is, "Sleep when he sleeps" but it's difficult to do that when you're trying to keep the house clean, trying to keep up on loads of laundry, pay bills, pump, feed him, change him, and run errands. I allow myself about 20-30 minutes at night to read. It's insane how my life has completely turned upside down.

I've decided to go back to work slowly, starting next Tuesday. I'll only be working two days a week for a few hours, but I need to get out of the house. I really think i'm going insane here. I always thought I would love to be at home, but for me, it's awful.

Today I got his newborn pictures done so I'll update when I get the link from the photographer for those pictures.

TRIP IS COMING UP QUICK!!! And i'm secretly scared but not letting anyone know it, but I still have some time to get used to this mother thing. I ordered a little snuggle insert for the stroller, to cuddle him and make him fit properly in his stroller, and i'm going to start walking with him around my neighborhood whenever it comes in, so he can get accustomed to it.

I still need to add Calvin to our flights, since I didn't know his birthday at the time.

I still need to add the dining plan to our trip

I still need to make a reservation for a hotel the night before our flight.

Just checked our waitlist...still hasn't gone through. I'm pretty sure we're staying at BWV which is fine with me! I've always wanted to stay at an Epcot resort so yay!

I'm hoping to get my 'to-do' list done when I get free time at work next week or even over the weekend if DH isn't too busy.

Well, I think that's it for now. I'll be on soon to post a few pics for you guys :)

It's so nice to hear from you! I don't think anyone here will hold it against you that you've been a little busy :thumbsup2 I'm sure it will get easier, especially as Calvin starts sleeping longer through the night. And I have no doubt that you're an amazing mom! :goodvibes

I know EXACTLY how you feel! I am so NOT a stay at home type, it drove me INSANE! It's nice to get out and interact with adults :rotfl2:

It's totally normal to be nervous about your first trip! My first trip with Jack he was 4 weeks old and my mom had a conference in Anaheim (we were living in Monterey CA at the time) so I drove down by myself with him and we did a day at Disneyland on our own and then met up with my mom. I had to get him and his gigantic stroller on and off the bus by myself... WITH him in the carrier in my other hand! But seriously, I figured I had many years of being a single mom ahead of me, and I wasn't going to let that stop me from taking vacations :rotfl: Plus they grow up so fast, and it gets easier (mostly). You will do great! Can't wait to see pics of the little guy! Oh and I need to add you on FB so if you get a chance PM me your info!

Hi Alicia :wave2: so glad you're feeling better. Is your mom able to take him so you can get some rest?

How's your dog adjusting to Calvin?

Hope you have a great day :)

Hi Lesha!

Good to hear from you and see what's happening in your world with Calvin :goodvibes

Hope you do get to stay at the Boardwalk... it's our DVC 'home', I love it there! :lovestruc:lovestruc

So good to read your post, I was worried about you. Being a new Mother and exhaustion go hand in hand. It will get better. The BW is wonderful we stayed there in March and fell in love, returning to stay there again end of Nov.

Really quick everyone, Steph reminded me about Facebook, so I made one yesterday! :cool1: Here's the link and hope you guys will add me!

BTW, he slept for 4 hours straight last night! 12:50am-4:40am! :yay::yay:

Also, does anyone know how to pay for the dining plan using gift cards??

When you call to add the dining plan it will just go on a bill and you can pay that bill with gift cards or whatever. I've never dealt with rooms on points so I don't know if you will pay for the dining plan when you get there or in advance, but either way it's just like paying with a CC

Alicia,
Glad you are feeling better. I've heard that it's a VERY long time before you actually start getting to sleep through a night, so good luck!

Don't give up on the WL just yet! People have up until 30 days prior (or is it 31 :scratchin) to cancel their trips with no penalty, so you might just get in at 30 days out. Is your waitlist set to cancel 7 days in advance or 30? If it isn't, I would set it at 7 days. It's no biggie as long as you haven't shipped anything there.

Good luck on all the stuff you have to do!
