I'm sorry you're so upset! You will forget about all of this as soon as you hold him in your arms.

You've provided such a nice and cosy home for him, so he doesn't want to leave it yet, but he will soon.

Huge hugs, hang in there!

Sending labor dust!! I think it will happen soon. Things are happening which is a good sign :) I know this is the longest part of the preganancy. Just enjoy spending time with hubs and take in your last few childless days together :) maybe even have a special date weekend? Good luck & can't wait for the "I'm in labor" post!

No progress. Well i'm now close to 2cm dilated. So that's the only progress, if you can call it that.

My cervix was so posterior this time, that she actually had me roll my hands up into fists and place them under my butt/back to elevate me because she couldn't reach:sad: She also was a little rougher this time on purpose she said, making a kind of swiping motion on my cervix, so i'm not sure if she swept my membranes a little bit, or was attempting to, since I was so far back.

So my next appointment is on Wednesday at 11:15. If no progress has been made from today until Wednesday, we have to discuss induction.:sad: Something I TRULY AND REALLY do not want. I started tearing up when I got in my car. I feel like i've done so much to try to help this pregnancy along, that it was a waste of time. I'm now very unmotivated to do anything at this point to help induce labor.

I'm so upset.

Just saw your update as I logged onto check the Disboards from the hospital with our new baby girl. Just wanted to say that I totally understand what you mean about not making progress and not wanting to have to be induced...I was just there. Our baby was 13 days overdue and the induction was scheduled for that same night, so we managed to avoid that (just barely). For what it's worth, I was only 1.5 cm. dilated (at 41 weeks and 4 days) when they did a membrane sweep. Later that same day, I was at 2cm, but still completely posterior and only around 60% effaced. They recommended a prostaglandin gel (1 hr. in the hospital), as it sometimes can get labor going, but at least usually helps with ripening the cervix. Later that night, contractions did start and we were lucky that they did continue. However, and I think this is common with the gel, they went on a long time. After around 48 hours of labor, she was born Thursday night. So, just wanted to give you some encouragement and wish you well. I hope you little guy decides to show up soon!

I had hardly had any progress with dd. I was only 1cm for so long. I went into labor on my own. Hang in there. It can happen at any time. I felt the same way. I didn't want to be induced but I have heard a lot of success stories from my friends that were induced.

It's been a few days since you've posted so I'm hoping you'll be on soon to share some good news! Thinking of you  :wizard:

I am sorry to hear that! 2 cm is good, and I have heard that first babies tend to be late, but that could just be the anecdotal stories I hear, LOL! my midwife helps her patients prepare the cervix by inserting Evening Primrose Oil a few times a day. Don't want to give you too much advice, of course, I am sure you are getting tons of that, but you could feel as you are doing "something" with this method yet using little effort to do so. Walking may be too much work, as is, um, other activities, LOL!

So I'm noticing that your last post was on the 21st, and today is the 23rd, so maybe Calvin has arrived? I hope you are doing well! And I hope your lil man arrives soon, if he hasn't already.

I'm sorry I missed so much. Hopefully no news is good news and things are progressing!

The same thing happened to me where they said they would talk about inducing me if my next appt I had not gone in labor and I did thankfully I was very upset I even started a thread about inducing on here on the disboards... Do not give up hope and I will pray you go into labour naturally.

Hi, I'm hoping that the lack of you posting on here is good news!!

Absolutely nothing new to report.:sad::sad::sad::sad:

Sorry everyone. I really, REALLY wish I had something to report, like i'm feeling contractions or my water broke, but nothing. It's so disappointing. I have two other friends that are pregnant right now, one was due yesterday and is getting induced on Friday, and one that is due Friday and doesn't have progress either, so I don't feel so alone right now. We all know what we're going through which is really nice.

I've been putting off looking at what actually happens for induction (thought it might jinx me if I actually researched what they do) but it looks like i'm not going to go into labor naturally.

I've only heard bad things about inducing, so hopefully when I start my research tonight, i'll read some good things.

DUGETTE - Congratulations!!! :cool1: You are a dedicated DISer, my friend, to log on from the hospital! Since i've done no research, I don't know what that gel is, but i'll be asking my doctor about it on Wednesday. Hope you and baby are doing very well and will recover very soon! :goodvibes

Lesha keeping fingers crossed that you get your wish and labor starts soon.

I was really hoping for you to have good news to report. Hopefully soon. :goodvibes

I know how frustrating it is to be waiting and waiting at the end. I was induced a week late with DS. Sending you labor vibes!

Agh trust me I want something to report.

Thinking happy thoughts for you :goodvibes

Thanks Heather :goodvibes

I'm pretty sure i'll be induced a week late also. Thank you :goodvibes

Calvin seems to be a stubborn one, already pushing mom's buttons :goodvibes He just doesn't know how excited you are to see his beautiful little face. You're stll a few days early, right? Maybe he'll come right on time. :confused3 I'm hoping for ya!

I'm sorry, I thought for certain you'd be back with good news.

I know I should probably stop logging on here until something good happens! :rotfl2:

Oh man seriously! I'm thinking he's not going to be good to me for the next few months...or maybe the rest of my life! :rotfl2: Tomorrow is my due date :headache::rolleyes1

Maybe tomorrow is the day! I do know how you're feeling, I desperately didn't want to be induced, but it ended up being the case and it was fine, honestly!

I'm praying that tomorrow is the day and instead of driving to my doctors appointment, i'd be driving to the hospital to deliver.

Just got done walking my second mile of the day, doing all the laundry, and dusting. I just keep cleaning the same things over and over again, it seems, since i'm at home all day with nothing new to do but sit and wait.
