Our first venture to WDW! 11/11-11/15 (Done, finally!)

love your report....was it seriously that EMPTY in the parks? From the pictures it looks like NO ONE is there!!

Can I ask what "Season" it was?

I think it was regular season. Maybe value for part of it? We were there from 11/11-11/15 2006. I too was impressed at how non-crowded it was. That was something I was really worried about being a first-timer!

And thanks to you all for the nice words! I can't even tell you how much of a dork I feel like typing this. I have no creative juices in my body at all!! LOL!!

So, Epcot is our plan for tonight! I'm really excited to check out this park. :) Unfortunately, we get a late start so that really cut down on our park time. We missed so much so will really have to go back for sure!! Our first ride for all of us is "inside the big ball mom!" LOL! So, we go on that first. Neat but sorta long. Still glad we did it!! After that was Test Track. That wait was a little long for this but we really wanted to get on this one. So, my daughter, my mom's bf, his son and I hop in line. It took around 45 minutes to get through the line and ride. By this time, it was dark and we didn't have much park time left. I did really like TT though!! I wanted to be able to do some smaller things with the kiddos so we all met up at The Seas with Nemo and friends. This was cool. My son Dimitri loves Nemo so he especially enjoyed it. My mom's bf and son break off from us and go do Mission Space and Soarin'. Lucky! We take the kids to Turtle Talk with Crush! That is sooo cool. They loved it. A bit bummed that they weren't called on. We walk out and let the kiddos play "in" the shark for awhile. I tried to snap a quick photo of them here but there were a couple moms, who had their kids in the mouth of the shark forever, making them pose this way and that. One mom was upset her son wasn't smiling and was almost at a screaming point. So not worth the wait. We left there and went to meet up with the two guys. They were aways away so we hung out by the gorgeous fountain and let the kiddos have some fun!

It's pretty late now and we haven't eaten a meal since lunch. So, we head into Electric Umbrella, which is pretty empty. We had some really great burgers! The kids had really limited selection here and they cashier wasn't that nice about it. Anyways.... Things are closing now and we didn't really have any time to do anything else. We go into Mouse Gear (I think this is the name of the store) and I pick up a few souvenirs. My kiddos each pick one thing. Morghan got a Tink Santa hat, Mykenah got Princess ears and Dimitri of course, got a light-up Pirate sword.

We stop and admire the cool lights in the ground. My kiddos were fascinated with these!!

We stop and take a few pictures with a nice Photo Pass lady and then watch some of the fireworks before heading out to the bus stops. We wanted to beat the crowds and my children were so, so tired at this point. I didn't want to push my luck. So, back to Pop it was!!

Next up...last day in FL.
:sad1:

Well since you missed most of Ecpot and all of World Showcase, it sounds like you NEEEEED to do a meal in one of the countries next time.;)

Oh and Soarin' for sure!

Your pics are so awesome. I think I will hire you to be photog in NOvember. Oh did you all hear? She's going.:lmao:

November 15th, 2006

It's time to go home! Wah. Our transport is coming to get us at 11am. So, we wake up around 8am to get going. I never really "unpacked" and we sort of lived out of our suitcases. So, everything went back in. Not fun trying to cram things back in. It's more fun packing the first time around. We head down to the Pop food court for some breakfast. This is the first time we have eaten a hot breakfast and it was just okay. We wanted to use up some CS credit so this was the plan. After we ate, we shopped for a few more things to bring home. And I picked up three big bags of Mickey pretzels to send to my kiddos' schools and daycare. We headed back to our rooms and grabbed our luggage.

My son and nephew enjoy the resort one last time-

We checked out really quickly and waited in the front for FL Tours. I did go back in to use up our snack credits. Love those blue slushies! I would definitely recommend this company! We had two really nice drivers. We tipped $20 each way, which I hope was fair. He got us to Orlando-Sanford Airport in no time. It's about an hour drive. Allegiant Air is pretty good so we were able to get checked in with not a huge wait or anything. However, I messed up. My daughter bought a Tink snowglobe. It wasn't huge and had just a small amount of water in the little ball she's holding. I didn't even think to check this. You know..the liquids deal. :rolleyes1 So, I was sent all the way back down to the AA counter after getting through security once. What a PITA. They had to put the snowglobe alone in a bag. I was NOT hopeful that it would make it there in one piece. My daughter was beside herself. :sad1: We ate some lunch and just hung out until our delayed (by 30 minutes) plane left. It's a direct flight, which is nice with three young kiddos. We slept for about half of the flight and arrived home right on time actually. And the snowglobe made it!! I'll credit the nice girl at Mouse Gear, who packed it really nice in packaging and a box. My husband met us at the airport and was shocked at how sick I looked. All I wanted then was my own home and bed. The temperature was around 15 I think. A huge change from FL!!! Yuck. :crazy2: All in all it was a great trip despite me being sick. It didn't turn me off of WDW at all. In fact, it made me just want to go back and do things I didn't get to do. I'm working on another trip right now. Hopefully for Nov. 2007. I liked going in November. The weather was nice, the crowds were low, it was just great. So, that's it. I'll get back on with one final installment I think of anything I would have done differently. :)

I really enjoyed reading your trip report. I so sorry you were sick through most of it. You were a trooper to keep on going even though you didn't feel well. I also enjoyed your pictures. You have an adorable family. :)

What a great report! Should I tell them or should you? It will make a nice ending I think.;)

My report is done but I thought I'd pop back on with a few small notes. LOL!

1. Next time, I plan to take a longer trip. We were restricted due to our flight options. Not enough park time for sure! I want to enjoy more, see more, do more. So, our next trip will be longer. We won't fly Allegiant Air since our options we so limited. I did like them however and loved the Sanford airport. Soooooo easy to get through!

2. FL Tours is awesome! Would use them again for sure.

3. Loved Pop Century. Good value resort. :thumbsup2

4. I will use Airborne and whatever else I can get my hands on before flying next time. I do not want to even know who's germs I picked up in that plane. No way. :scared1:

5. I will definitely go again in November. The week we went (11-15) was perfect. We were able to swim but we weren't sweating to death. The crowds were great. The one ride we waited for the longest totally was our fault by not getting a FastPass. Duh. Lesson learned.

6. The dining plan was wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!! I will use it again in the future, no question about it!

7. The children being out of school was fine. Their teachers sent work, caught them up quickly and really enjoyed the Mickey pretzels we sent back. LOL! Really, they had no problems and were really excited for them to go.

8. Even if I have to go alone with the kiddos, I'll do it. It's worth it. My children had the time of their lives and that's what it all means to me. I know why you all go back time and time again. I was worried I wouldn't feel the magic. I shouldn't have worried. I have it. That said........our next trip is finally booked!! November 12th-17th as of right now. Rock on. :hippie:

Thanks for reading along with me. I know I'm not that exciting and far from a writer. Basically I did a report for me. It's nice to have and look back on. Oh and I also did one after Samantha lovingly prodded me to give her details, details!!! Love you Sam! Anyway, thanks again for reading.

Good way to sum things up. Kelli didn't mention that not only did I brainwash......ummm...I mean.....convince her to go again in Nov 2007 but I also got her to go at the same time that I am!:lmao: Yes we are planning, if all goes well, on doing MVMCP party together as a big group. Should be fun!

What a fabulous report! :goodvibes :thumbsup2 Looking forward to reading the next one.:surfweb:
