This will be our first trip with a toddler :simba: in tow. I am wondering what are some must bring along items for a 2 year old? We don't want to haul around tons of stuff but other than the basics like stroller, sunscreen, food, swimsuit etc. what do you suggest?

Thanks much

Bubbles are a must!! On my DD's first trip she was almost 2 and bubbles where a life saver. She would blow them or we would while waiting in line or while taking a break or waiting for the parades. It worked wonderfully and keep her happy!!!

Disposable everything! Sippy cups, bibs, changing pads, flatware (take 'n toss will be you're best friend)! That way you don't have to worry about lugging around dirty bibs, etc. at the parks.

Take your stroller, streamline your day pack for only more than you need (4-5 diapers, a travel pack of wipes - you can refill all of that stuff on day break). Band-aids, sunscreen, tylenol.

That should cover you.

Disposable table topper or toilet protectors.

I carried my wipes in a zip lock bag since it scrunched up better in my bag I carried around plus I could bring more then what the case allows.

I brought dish soap to wash the sippy cups.

I learned my lesson & didn't bring any toys other then what I had for my kids on the plane. They didn't need that stuff while there.

Medicine (tylenol/motrin) & the dropper/cup measurer for the correct dose.
Nail clippers
Destin
Bandaids

Ditto on the take-n-toss stuff. Dum-dums are a lifesaver for waiting in lines, battery-operated hand fans that I attached to my stroller saved us.
Ziplock bags, spare outfit for the park, cause you know they're going to want to play in the water, and something that lights up or glows at night.

I agree with disposable bibs, so easy! Also Dum Dum lollipops worked well for my kids during lines and longer stroller rides.

Also, snack bags or cups with dry cereals in them!

I just want to say to take advantage of the Baby Care Centers they have at each park. Rather than changing your child on a fold down changing table, they have real changing tables with paper liners. They also have high chairs, rocking chairs, t.v.'s and it's air conditioned! A nice "break" when you need it with a toddler! Also, I always make sure to pack a first aid kit with us (even though they have first aid stations). ziploc bags so if your child goes on a "wet" ride or splash area you can throw their wet clothes in the bag. Enjoy!
