Our First Trip as Parents! December 2012 TR - 8/6 OMG a TR link!

Happy birthday to you and half birthday to the little guy! Hope you both had a good one! We started solids recently too, but letting her self-feed various things we were eating, and its been fun. I think her favorite so far was the chicken and cauliflower we had last night. We also did some baby oatmeal a couple times, but letting her use the spoon herself. Although I don't think she's actually consumed much, she's surprisingly good at getting the spoon in her mouth (just not keeping much oatmeal on it)! Looking forward to seeing how Calvin did!

Hope you had a great birthday weekend Lesha!

Can't believe DS is almost 6 months old, time has flown :goodvibes

I really need to get on with my October TR too, under 12 weeks until next Disney trip now!

Happy belated Birthday

Hope you had a lovely day

Oh and by the way will DS be posting a dining review? ;)

Thanks Linda :goodvibes And yes I believe he will be :lmao:

Ok, 29 is one to celebrate and enjoy. The one that sucks is 31. The 30 one isn't so bad. You still feel like you're in your 20's and you're ok with it. It's when you put that 1 after the 3 that it starts to get you. :headache: Happy Birthday!

Good luck with the solid foods. You might want to consider wearing a rain poncho. :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

I'm actually concerned with 30. Cus then you're like, "I'm in my early thirties." Sheesh, that's scary to say even now.

What I really needed was a face guard :lmao::lmao:

Thank you very much! Did you start out with the rice cereal first? His Doc recommended doing cereal first and for at least 4 days before moving onto another food. I'm making all his other meals. In fact, I went to the store today and picked up bulk carrots, sweet potatoes, peas, apples and pears and plan on cooking them tomorrow or Thursday and freezing it all. I'm more excited for those foods than the cereal!

Hope you had a great birthday weekend Lesha!

Thanks Emma!

Yes he just turned 6 months today. So weird!

I can't remember off the top of my head, but are you doing the cruise first and then the World or vice versa?

Just a few pictures from our beach trip to Cambria this past weekend. Even though this was DS's second trip to the coast, this was his first time on the actual beach. And we think he actually loved the sound and movement of the water.

There was a small little playground right off this beach area so it was his first time going down a slide (even though papa got stuck on it! :lmao:)

and his first time on the swing

For Easter we went with my family and Dsil's family to a hotel for brunch

And today was DS's 6 month birthday which meant we could officially try solid foods in the form of rice cereal

I think he enjoyed it! When I put food in his mouth, he started babbling every time and a lot of it spat right back out. It was fun! Can't wait to experiment with 'real' foods soon.

And I did his monthly picture tonight as well. He was pretty happy for his pictures

Tomorrow I will be updating the TR :cool1: Finally, right?! :rolleyes1:rotfl:

Just wait until you have to decide if you are still okay saying mid-thirties! 30 is young!

Re: baby food -- I just put up a post with pics that show what we did. A bit different - following the "baby- led weaning" method. So far, so good! Good luck to you!

You just added the update. Love the pics! Coast looks so nice! Fun at the playground too!

:lmao: I guess you're right!

I hadn't even heard about this type of weaning method. His doctor even gave me a handout of which foods to start with, all of which are pureed vegetables and fruits.

You just added the update. Love the pics! Coast looks so nice! Fun at the playground too!

Hopefully the weather will start getting nice for you soon so you can make it to the playground too! I saw the picture of you and Dug Baby going to get the mail :scared1:

Hi Lesha,

Gorgeous pics of Calvin, I love the last one so much!

Hope you had a nice birthday too!

You look great in that dress by the way, but I have to say that I'm so jealous of your weather right now lol

It's freezing in England with lots of snow on and off so nobody is wearing cute dresses right now here only drab winter wear!

Calvin is so cute, and he keeps getting cuter with each month!

Don't fret about 30. Or even 40 the one to fret about is the one that I am approaching, lets just say it rhymes with "nifty". But hey, we're still kicking and I think enjoying life. Actually Fran's big year comes up this year and I can't even think of a rhyme, but let's just say she's only a few years away from what the Beatles worried about back in the 60's. If we're still going, you have nothing to worry about! :lmao:

Hope you had a good birthday. I can't believe your son is 6 months already. It goes so fast. Solids are fun.

Happy belated birthday, Lesha!

I love the beach photos, so wonderful!

Calvin is just as cute as a button. And I can see a future food critic here. ;)

Thanks for sharing.

Oh those are such cute pictures from the beach! He sure looks like he liked it.

And that is such a good family picture of you 3 on Easter!

Thanks for sharing! :)

Well, the whole age thing is really just a number. I may be 31 now, but I still like to think I'm 20 when I play basketball or something. It's the next day that I remember my age. :rotfl2::lmao: It's all mental. :thumbsup2

The little man is cheesing big for the camera for his 6 month pictures. They get big fast, don't they?

Trying new foods is actually fun. Sometimes the reactions can be priceless. DD doesn't like things that are cold, but she loves to eat and is willing to try anything. It is a guilty pleasure of mine to give her a little bit of ice cream whenever I have some just for the reaction. :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Aww the last post was off the scale cute !!

:lmao: Thanks Linda!

I'm probably one of the only people in CA who says this but....I hate Spring/Summer:rolleyes1:blush: I hate wearing shorts, dresses, tanks, etc. I love the cold weather, wearing boots, cute cardigans and coats. Yes, I only love it purely for the fashion side :lmao:

I think you guys are enjoying life BIG time! Do you know, I'm subscribed to like, 10 PTR's of yours?! :rotfl: Probably not that many, but you get the idea. Honestly, that's the one thing i'm looking forward to about getting older is traveling more. Well, at least hopefully!

Hope you had a good birthday. I can't believe your son is 6 months already. It goes so fast. Solids are fun.

Hi Gina! Sorry just saw the link in your sig and went right over to save my spot...even though i'm like 10 months late :lmao:

Happy Birthday! Happy Easter! How nice to actually have spring where you live. It is such a late spring on the East Coast this year. I can't wait to see tulips, green grass, and leaves on the trees!

I have to agree that your DS just gets cutter and cutter! :goodvibes Happy 6 months!

I was telling Monica that I'm not a fan of warm weather :snooty: Yes, i'm snooty like that. I just love bundling up in warm clothes and taking hot chocolate to work. It's already getting hot here, which means less clothing, which means more dieting and more working out :scared: I know you're fine with that because you run ALL the time.

Calvin keeps getting cuter and cuter :)

Hey Pam, I had written down the dates you'll be down but I misplaced them. Can you tell me again the dates in September?

Happy belated birthday, Lesha!

I love the beach photos, so wonderful!

Calvin is just as cute as a button. And I can see a future food critic here. ;)

Oh yes, he'll definitely be a lover of all food, if he's anything like me and DH :yay:

Calvin is SO cute! :goodvibes

Thank you!

He really loved the sound of the water. I'm glad I have a little beach bug for a son.

:lmao: Your statement totally reminded me of DH. He's a baseball coach so he pretty much practices with his students, but then when he wakes up the next morning, he's really sore and needs to start his morning with stretches. That's when you know you're getting old, when you have to stretch your muscles in bed before even putting a foot out of it :rotfl:

I'm so looking forward to the day when he'll be able to eat 'regular' people food like ice cream, pb&j's and icing from the spatula. :yay:

I'll be there September 3-9 which is the day after Labor Day. I just realized that's 5 months from today :cool1:

.....

Thanks Emma!

Great photos of your weekend, DS is so cute!

In June, we have two nights at WDW (Boardwalk Villas), and then the 7 nights on the Fantasy.. then 6 nights in Boston :goodvibes so excited for it, we got a guidebook for Boston a few days ago - I can't put it down!
Odd for me 'only' to have two days at WDW this year, but we did have two trips to the World last year.. and I'm starting to make our 2014 plans too
