Our first trip and our honeymoon at Disney World, what could go wrong?

Okay so today was now Nov. 12th and it was our last full day on the ship. I don't really have to much to say about this day because hubby and I spent most of it just loitering around and relaxing. I know we slept in and so we missed breakfast. I think we finally left our room at around 10am to go get something to eat. I don't even remember what we got so it must not have been anything to fancy. I know after eating we started to just walk around the ship and take photos.

Here are a few of our surroundings, nothing but ocean. So pretty.

http://

http://

http://

Heading back we ran into this guy but I didn't stop for a photo with him.

http://

Back inside hubby was still snapping photos of stuff so I had a seat and waited.

http://

Then we decided to head down to the club level I think Deck 4 but I'm not sure. We just wanted to get some pics down there as well. I had to use the bathroom and when I came out I grabbed the camera from DH to take pics inside the restroom, it was so cool looking.

I was in love with that bathroom, it was so cozy and nice.

So we continued on taking more photos.......

http://

http://

We took this out of that same porthole we had been sitting in. I think it came out pretty cool.

http://

Then we took some more photos of the hallway and some other things down there.

http://

http://

This was a peek inside one of the lounges.

http://

As we were leaving the area we saw this sign.

http://

As you guys can see this part of the trip and installment is more like a pictorial edition.

So then we left and headed back towards the elevators and hubby took a picture of them, he loved the design.

http://

So we headed up and out onto the jogging track deck to take a seat and just enjoy the view.

http://

You can see how super cloudy it was.....

http://

http://

A birdie came to hitch a ride on the ship.

http://

http://

Then I snapped a pic of hubby relaxing.

http://

And then we took a sappy picture together.

http://

So as we were sitting there all of a sudden a gigantic group of kids came through and stopped right in front of us. I soon figured out it was one of those clubs that the kids can join while on board the ship. There must have been like 45 kids and three cast members with them all. The cast members had to have been no older then 21 if that. DH and I looked at each other like should we leave or stay. While we were deciding on what to do I overheard one of the cast members say they would be going inside in a minute so we opted to stay put. Well it turned out to be the best show ever. All the kids ranged in age groups so there was some that just looked board, others had found best friends that they would not be separated from and some were just so plain crabby they looked like they contemplated jumping overboard. Then there were the few loner ones who didn't talk to anyone and didn't listen and just wandered all over. The cast members were trying to keep everybody lined up and in order and also amused at the same time since just standing there waiting was not the kids idea of fun. One of the cast members saw DH and I watching the whole things and I think we made him nervous so he gave us a weak smile and started sweating really bad. I felt bad so I kept trying to talk to hubby but the scene was so funny that I couldn't help but laugh and everytime I would this poor cast member would look over and think I was laughing at him but I wasn't it was just the whole situation. So finally they get the go ahead to continue on to wherever they had been going. They get about half the kids inside and all of a sudden paranoid cast member yells back to the other cast member to stop and back up, everybody back up we can't go inside yet, they are not ready. Hubby and I start laughing again because watching a bunch of kids trying to back up to the same spot they had been in was something to see. Finally back outside, paranoid cast member eyes hubby and I again and this time we just have smiles on our face and so he smiles back at us very weakly. I felt so bad for him. Anyway they ended up having to back out twice before they finally got to go to there destination. It was just hysterical and I think that guy was so afraid we were going to complain to guest services or something and thats why he freaked out.

So after that display was over we continued to sit for a bit more and ended up getting these really cool shots as the sun went down.

http://

http://

http://

http://

After the sun went down we went inside and found ourselves right next to the rebooking a cruise desk. I had been bugging hubby to rebook another cruise while on board because of the deal you get. He was not sure he wanted to so we continued taking more pictures around the ship.

http://

http://

http://

http://

http://

So then outta the blue hubby says okay lets go see how good the deal is on rebooking a cruise.

We head back up and sit down to talk to the lady and the deal was if you book a 7 day cruise you get $200 on board credit if you book another 3 or 4 day it was $100 and it was only $150 per person on your deposit I think. After much debate hubby and I decided to rebook a 7 day western cruise for the same time next year.

Since the cruise hubby and I have altered this plan and we are currently thinking about doing something different all together but more on that at the end of the TR.

So after doing that we decided to head back to our room to put some jeans on since it was getting kinda chilly.

Dressed warmer we headed back out to explore some more before our dinner.

http://

http://

I was so excited after reading so much about his restaurant I couldn't wait for dinner tonight but since it was not time for dinner yet we just took pictures in front of the sign.

http://

Then we took pictures with this Mickey.

http://

http://

Then hubby decided he wanted to go to guest services to just check on our bill so far and make sure everything looked okay so we headed over there. I opted to go sit down while he went and looked at it. I took this photo of him while I waited.

http://

Upon his return he sat down with me and we both just kinda vegged out in the lobby area until it got closer to dinner time.

http://

While we were sitting there it became very obvious how much the ship was rocking this evening. I had figured it would based on the way the sky and the water looked earlier but I didn't think it would be as bad as it was. It was very noticeable and at some points hard to walk straight. I got worried about hubby because it was the one night he decided not to wear his sea bands and I didn't want him to get sick. He swore he was okay so I left it alone. I was of course loving it, I'm really strange that way, I swear it's my dads Navy blood running through me. The more the ship rocked back and forth the more I giggled. There was a lady sitting close to us that was not doing so good with the rocking ship and was getting pretty sick. I felt so bad for her because to me nothing is worse then being sea sick.

About 20min till dinner time we decided to head back down that way and wait over there. I snapped this photo on the way.

LOVING your trip report. I spent a couple of hours last night reading the entire thread. Is it okay that I'm loving your sweet husband a little bit since he took such good care of you when you were sick?!?

Great pics as always ! Cant wait to read about the dinner you were looking forward to. I would have been cracking up at the kids as well. I cannot imagine trying to wrangle 50 bored kids. I could not be paid enough to do that job..or be a bus driver for a school. So whats next more time at Disney World right ?

I loved your photos, the pictures of the clouds and sun beams were beautiful!! I do hope your hubby was feeling okay with all the rocking.

Your TR really makes me want to book a cruise, but I get motion sick so easy, so doesn't my DH. Besides that last night, did you notice the motion? What type of bands was your husband wearing?

Thank you so much, I love that people are enjoying it so much. :goodvibes

And that's fine about my husband, I told him what you said and his response was "I'm supposed to take care of you, your my wife" then he said to tell you thanks for the sweet comment. He's so funny and I am truely a very lucky girl to have him, he is the best and has always taken care of me.

Thanks, we were kinda shocked at how beautiful those sun beam photos looked. I thought it was better then a normal looking sunset.

Hubby was actually perfect with the rocking on the ship. Before we had left on the honeymoon we went to Walgreens and purchased the sea bands for him just in case. That's actually what they are called on the package and they are rubber bracelets that you place on your wrist and you position them to put pressure on your accupunture points. He wore them the first couple of days on board and we did notice a little bit of rocking but nothing like the last night. He ended up being fine and showed no signs of getting sick at all so I guess he is stronger then he thought he was.

It's hard to say how you and your hubby would react if the ship started to rock. Some people get really sick and others are just uncomfortable. There are several different things to try when it comes to avoiding sea sickness and you could probably talk to your doctor about it as well. I hope you will be able to figure something out because everybody should do the Disney Cruise at least once in there lifetime. :)

Thank you!

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one that would have laughed at the kids incident. I was beginning to think I was mean or something. I would never want there jobs either, I wouldn't last 10min.

Yes, after the cruise we go back to Disney World to finish up and then to Islands of Adventure.

I thought I'd come over and check out your TR since you've commented on mine and so far have only made it past the wedding cake pictures and felt the need to comment.

Your wedding looks like it was tons of fun to be at and was probably even more fun to plan.

I'll be back once I catch up on the rest of your report but you've already got me hooked!

:welcome: I'm so glad you came over to take a look at my TR.

Our wedding was really fun and we did have a good time planning it, I think we felt more like we were planning a full on halloween party instead of a wedding. Everyone had a blast so it was perfect.

Thanks again for reading and I'm glad I was able to hook you in. :goodvibes

popcorn:: I'm still here enjoying your TR also. How cool is that about spending the day with Slash!!! My DH is like "really"?? And said he is a great guitarist. I truthfully would not know but he would LOL!!

Okay finally caught up!

Loved your wedding pictures. How much did you have to tweak them because they looked great!

Felt bad for you about your asthma. I am a very mild asthmatic myself. Once I moved out of the city and lost my dog I was able to stop taking any medications but I still get bronchitis regularly. I can't imagine doing Disney while not being able to breathe.

There is a picture of you and your hubby with Goofy that I love. You are both laughing freely.

Laughed out Loud at your sea bike adventure.

Went green with jealousy over your day with a rock star.

My DS10 ie "Eeoyre"'s real name is A.J. (shhh) so I have a vested interest in your hubby.

So glad I found your report. Keep it coming!

Where are you ? I need hilarious trip reports and great pictures to get me by! I am like a junkie now.

Ok so I just looked back and it has not been that long since your last installment but I would love a new one!

Yay! Glad your still with me. Sorry it's been taking me so long to update, I'm trying really I am, life just keeps getting in the way.

Yeah Slash is an amazing guitarist, he is truely talented and such a super nice guy. You can tell your hubby that I'm still in disbelief myself about it. :goodvibes

Good I'm glad your caught up. I ended up tweaking the wedding photos on photobucket just to see what I could come up with and I swear after I was done they looked alot better then what the photographer gave us. It took me a couple of hours to do like 30 pictures or so. Now I just have to get them printed out.

I'm happy to hear that you have enjoyed everything you have read so far and the pictures I've posted. And what a coincidence that hubby shares your DS's name also. :thumbsup2

Sorry, I really can't seem to get a free moment these days long enough to do an update. I'm working on one right now though so stick with me my little TR junkie friend. :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

So I left off with hubby and I heading over to dinner here.....

http://

As I had mentioned the ship was really rocking back and forth on this night and walking over to the restaurant was pretty interesting. It looked like a bunch of drunk people all over the place.

We get to the restaurant finally and are escorted to our table and the place already looks really cool just being black and white. There are Disney pictures all over the walls and the design of the place was just cool in general. At our table it was only us and two other tablemates and for a while we thought it was going to stay that way but everybody else ended up showing up in a bit. One of our tablemates was sooooooooo sick from the ship rocking and I felt really bad for her. As dinner went on she confessed that she hates ships, boats, anything having to do with water and the only reason she was on the cruise was because her hubby had wanted to go so badly so she booked the trip as a surprise for him. So sweet of her but boy was she paying for it.

Here are some photos as we were waiting for our menues.....

These are the only pictures of food that I got because I was so enthralled when the room started to change colors that I forgot about the food. Also my tablemate who was sick was getting much worse and also changing colors as much as the room was so I kept an eye on her, hoping she wasn't going to barf. I have a really bad gag reflex so if I see or hear gross stuff I will get sick also, needless to say she was making me nervous.

http://

http://

The food again was spectacular, cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth.

I have a ton of photos as the room was getting color to it so here ya go. Enjoy them.

Towards the end of dinner all the servers disapeared and an announcement was made to clap for your server as they came back out all together. When they reappeared all there jackets had color to them. It was really cool and a nice way to say thank you to them for everything. They also introduced the chef whose name escapes me but I sure did clap for him. :thumbsup2 I for some strange reason don't have any pictures while all of this was going on. Go figure. :sad2:

At about the same time as this was taking place my sick tablemate had had enough and needed to leave. I was really surprised she held on as long as she did because at this point the rocking was so bad that several times I felt like my chair might actually tip backwards from it. It shocks the senses to be on such a big ship and feel rocking back and forth so intense. Anyway we said goodbye to them and they told us they would be at breakfast the next morning but we never saw them again. My guess is as soon as we had the okay to get off the ship she was the first one. :lmao:

So we finished up dinner and I got some kind of brownie thing for dessert. I do have a picture of it.

http://

That dessert was seriously the sweetest tasting thing I have ever had in my entire life. I could barely take a normal bite out of it because of how rich it was. It was really good but it took me forever to eat because I had to take such tiny bites and eat it really slow.

So we finished up and got our information on breakfast the next day. It said that we should come back here and our time was at 7:15am to eat. :scared1: That did not make me very happy.

As we headed out of the restaurant, we snapped this last picture.

http://

We stood around and talked for a minute on what to do and finally decided that we should go back to the stateroom and finish packing up since we only had about 2 hours left before we had to have our bags outside our door for pickup. I was sad again that I was missing the last show but it was probably for the best because at this point hubby and I were holding onto everything to keep from falling over and we new that packing was going to be interesting.

After bouncing off the walls the whole way back to our stateroom we arrived and I was greeted with my last towel animal.

http://

I was so going to miss getting these every night.

I had made hubby position all my animals on the couch for the duration of the cruise so I could get a group shot at the end. He of course thought I was crazy. I told him if he thought I was crazy now just wait until we go on a 7 day cruise. He looked scared after I said that.

Anyway I got all my little guys together on the bed and took this shot so I could remember them.

http://

There are no other photos from the rest of the night mostly because it was hard to take a picture with the rocking. It took hubby and I forever to get our bags packed and everything situated because being in a small space and trying to walk around each other without falling over from the motion and all the stuff everywhere was very difficult. I finally gave up and just went to sit on the bed and left the rest up to hubby who agreed it would just be easier that way. Just before they came to pick up the bags we had set them outside, I was so glad we made it because hauling them through the ship would have sucked. So with that done hubby sat on the couch and was filling out our debarkation forms while I went to sleep. I later found out that I had pretty much passed out and that the rocking of the ship had gotten so bad stuff had started falling off tables and anything we had in the bathroom ended up on the floor. Hubby apparently couldn't sleep so he was awake for most of it. I didn't hear anything, I slept right through it. Again I love the rocking motion so it was probably what kept me asleep. I'm just weird like that I suppose.

Your towel animals are wonderful! During our honeymoon at AKL we were so surprised and delighted to get a bunch of towel animals as well, I also took a group shot and love it to this day. I almost wanted to bring them all home!

Your pictures from dinner are so cool, I love seeing the room change color. You have honestly made me want to book a cruise! My DH just signed up for the 2010 half marathon in WDW, "sadly" I do not run ;) , but I am thrilled about the trip!!!

I have to start planning now!

What am I going to do once your TR is over? What shall I read, who will make me laugh???

Loved the update. Sorry to hear about the rockin. I'd always had people tell me that "You can't feel a thing" on a cruise ship, but wondered what rough seas would actually be like. At least you were able to sleep through the worst of it. The food looked amazing as usual.
