First off it was our first and probably last time.

Very overrated and shame on Disney for charging so much money for cheap candy (albeight tons/all you want). We had fun and it was fun for DD and myself to dress up. The wishes were nice. The lines for the candy/face painting were bad. I am glad we did it but we wont do another.

On a side note..Did any of you DIS'ers see us? Our costumes for perfect for the weather (except for the little rain showers that night.LOL)

That is exactly what my father said, he's a huge Disney nut and never has a bad thing to say about Disney.
He said he was glad he did it but won't spend the money again. He said that the parade was short but that "Hallowishes" was worth it all.

Sorry it wasn't wonderful for you... :guilty:

I can't imagine being disappointed in paying the price to see MK all decked out like that, though!

You both look so cute! Sorry it wasn't all you hoped it would be. We are going next week and hopefully won't be dissappointed.

Your are not paying for the candy. You are paying for the Parade, The Fireworks and all the other halloween fun they have. When people say they won't go again, they almost always mention the candy and it's cost. If you go there just to trick or treat, then yes that is alot of money. But to see your favorite's like Mickey, Donald and Goofey (Just to name a few) all dressed up in the halloween costumes is priceless. I did'nt even mention the Headless Horseman? I mean come on...lol, he's too cool. :stir:

The candy? It ain't about the stinkin' candy. And yes, the candy was a little disappointing, even though two cast members made it their mission in life to fill my bag with chocolates. But it's a party. And a party is always exactly what the people there make it. Where I was, folks were having fun. People were laughing. Kids were giggling. It WAS a party. We rode three rides all night long. Haunted Mansion of course. And since we were the Pirate couple, we rode the PotC(btw, Iluvthemouse, if I'd seen you I'd have abruise;I'm the guy in the boat that always chants with the pirates 'We want the redhead' and sice I was dressed as a pirate, I would have said that and gotton slugged by dgf) and Peter Pan. Our coup failed, or it would now be called Captain Hook.
NOw all week I dressed in Donald Duck clothes, hats, shirts, and my Donald Duck watch. But this night none of that I was a pirate. So when the float with Daisy comes by, what does she do but lean over to blow me a kiss. Freaked my dgf out. All week I'd teased her that all I really came for was a little lovin' from Daisy, then that happened. It was, as I said, a PARTY. pirate:

I remember the first one we attended. It was all right. I didn't think it was anything spectacular. Guess what? I'm going on a solo trip and actually ordered a ticket for the MNSSHP! Why? Because, it really WAS fun. I just didn't realize how much until the opportunity to attend another presented itself.

I've realized that these kinds of things are only as good as you make them. Disney provides the magic, it's up to you to find it and use it in the way that suits you best.

I intend to make this year's party a lot of fun!
