Though we have been in Disney during the F&W this is our first trip to be able to take time to sample all the wonderful food that the booths have to offer. Our group consisted of DH, myself and our friends that have been to Disney before but not for some time and have usually stayed off site before.
We flew out of IND on Oct 10th at 7 am. Good flight down on AirTran. We used ME to get to our beloved BWV. We were at the hotel by 10:30ish and had used Online Check In so our packets were ready but rooms weren't so we headed out to Epcot for some good food. We received call that our room was ready before we even got to Epcot, but friend's weren't yet.
We started our trek around the world at Ireland's booth. Loved the fisherman's pie and also shared the Cheese Selection which was good. In Canada we tried the Chicken Chipolte Sausage with Sweet Corn Polenta which was very tasty. Stopped at the Dessert booth for the White Chocolate Macadamia Mousse with Dark Chocolate Pearls. Very yummy but I am a sweet lover but everyone in our group liked that one.
Next up was Pork Slider at Hawaii which was one of DH's favorite. In Argentina, we tried the Grilled Beef Skewer which was ok. In the Carribean booth we tried the Jerk Spiced Drumstick which DH felt was undercooked so did not care for that at all. Our last booth of the day was Mexico where we had 1 of everything. DH preferred the Ribeye Taco, myself I liked the Shrimp Taco and the Flan(sweets for me).
Headed up to try to ride Soaring but too long of wait so headed over to Test Track and received call that DF's room was ready so rode Test Track and then headed back to BWV. Checked in to our Preferred View Studios, rooms 5052 and 5053. Great locations, not far from elevators and nice views. Our room overlooked the Main Pool and DF's overlooked the courtyard and part of the BW.
Unpacked and settled in and then took boat down to HS, hopped on bus to OKW to let friends see what some of the other DVC resorts look like. Took boat from OKW to DTD to meet DF's sister and husband for dinner at House of Blues. Good food ...Good times

Thanks for the report on f&w! We are going for an adults-only weekend in a few weeks to enjoy f&w too. Sounds like some yummy stuff!

I'm looking forward to trying the Fisherman's pie in Irleand. :thumbsup2 Hope you continue to have a great time!

Sounds like you're having a fun trip! I would love to go for a F&W adult getaway, DS just turned 15, so I'm think I'm getting closer!

We love the F&W Fest. We plan to be there this Wednesday. Bummer about the Jerk Chicken, that is one of the new booths, and I was looking forward to trying something from the three new spots (I think there are 3 new ones). The taco's in Mexico are new as well, I know they didnt have shrimp or ribeye taco's the last few years.

I love the empenada in Argentina, that is one that always sticks in my head. The cheddar cheese soup in Canada is another great one!!

Glad you enjoyed it. Food & Wine is an institution in our house, and we make a couple visits a year. Can't wait to return in a couple weeks!

We loved all those choices as well. Don't miss the Lamb Slider in New Zealand and the yummy Red Stag(Jim Beam)Lemonade at the Fife & Drum kiosk at the American Adventure(across from the Eat to the Beat Concerts). :thumbsup2
