Day Six....Thursday, September 28th. Downtown Disney (to shop) and Magic Kingdom
Our Oldest son LOVES
LEGO's and had been looking forward to a trip to the LEGO store for several weeks now, already plotting spending some $$$$, well he'd spent the money that was given to each kid to blow on ANYTHING they wanted our first day so he now had to depend on Dad & Mom for money, which means.....get cheap-o Dad to approve what he wanted to spend $20 on (this was just a starting figure, we'd spent that much on the youngest and they all had already spent over $35 so it wasn't like they were coming home empty handed

)
So, we decide to do some shopping, walking around, etc. at Downtown Disney Thursday morning then go back into the Magic Kingdom later in the day and stay until closing since we had a better time in the evening on Monday.
We waited at the resort for quite some time for our bus, for some reason.

Every other stop had been picked up and one or two had already had 2 pick ups before we finally got a bus. Then it was quite a ride! I didn't realize we were so far away from DTD at ASMo, of course that is why we used their transportation too so we wouldn't have to find our way around this maze!!
First things first....we need food!!! So we stop in at Earl of Sandwich. I'd read all kinds of reviews here and we were expecting out of this world sandwiches.
DS1 had the pizza sandwich which was good, if a bit small for his appetite. DH had a grilled cheese that had bleu cheese and 2 other cheese on it and he didn't care for the taste

, he just wanted plain old cheddar cheese I guess.

DD had a egg & cheese sandwich....except she didn't want it on the bread

so I took it apart and she ate most of the egg & cheese off of it and DS2 ate the bread & cheese and whatever else he could get. I had the Caribbean Jerk Chicken Sandwich with no jerk sauce. It was decent but if we ever return I'll try some other sandwich.
We're off to look for and find the gift shop of things $10 and under before we buy Ds1 & DD something. Boy, this place is just a little "walkthru" shop and it's not labeled very well!! I was looking at the map and couldn't find a sign for that Mickey Mart and we were practically standing right in front of it!
They find nothing here so it's on towards the Lego store, WHOA! Look at that dinosaur outside!! Now, I'd seen these here on the Dis BUT to see them in person and really SEE the detail!! Someone has either 1.) Too much time on their hands or 2.) One of the BEST jobs around, they get paid to play with LEGO'S?
which we knew was where Ds1 would pick out his thing. He ended up with the Lego, Star Wars game for his X-box that he's been wanting, it was on clearance since a new one is coming out now. The stores were neat, decorated amazingly and the Lego things..
These things are amazing!! Real LEGOS, and the little size LEGOs too.
We pick up a few more things, you know for the dog sitter, the cat sitter & mail picker-upper back home.

Not to mention Granny had sent money for the kids to buy a disposable camera and we kept forgetting so they bought souvenir cups instead!! I much prefer to spend $20 on 3 cups then $25 on two cameras AND have to keep track of everyone's camera all week long

SSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, don't tell her I said that

She was a *professional* photographer a few years back and thinks the kids should've had their own camera to show her *the World* thru their eyes. Then we're heading back to the hotel to store away the goodies. And we put a few bags in the van since we'll be going express check out the following morning.
Back in the Magic Kingdom, the crane is down so we can get some good shots of the castle without anything else in the picture!
Other then that we pretty much planned to repeat things we really enjoyed the first day in.
But there were a few firsts, we ate dinner at Columbia Harbor House (it was so-so). We saw Captain Hook, Peter Pan & Wendy but did NOT stand in line to meet any of these guys, the lines were WAY to long. Oh...and I can NOT forget to mention....I DID get to try Aloha Isle this time!!

I ordered the Pineapple Float and we ALL enjoyed that!
DD & I braved Space Mountain and it scared her to death...first thing she was scared of all week!! And I'll just say I never have to ride it again either. We rode the TomorrowLand Transit Authority Blue Line ride twice this day, the kids enjoyed it better in the dark. And Peter Pans Flight had 45-60 minute wait every time we tried to get on so we just skipped riding it again, sadly.
But we DID manage to do:
Well dd & dh did, I played around with the camera while ds2 was napping and ds2 was looking around the gift shop with me or just sitting with me.

And last but not least, we rode Buzz Lightyear 2 more times that day. ALL the kids really LOVED this ride.
And of course, my favorite

3-D

thing all week was Mickey's Philharmagic so we did it again, this time I convinced Ds2 to watch and he LOVED it!!! YAY!!! I knew he would because he loves Mickey, Goofy, Donald..those characters but earlier in the week he was still thinking "it's dark & scary in there"
Back to the hotel just as fireworks are ending, this time we rode the bus to Music (with NO waiting!!!)and walked across the street to the room.
And I forgot to mention Hall of Presidents on Monday, it was a nice break during the HOT day and DS1 especially enjoyed it since he's learning more about the Presidents at school this year.
Next up............Our last day, check-out and Epcot (DETERMINED to at least walk
THRU the World Showcase) even if it IS the first day of the F&W festival.
