I am sorry you had a bad experience at Chef Mickeys.
We went for the first time last week, and it was outstanding. I was a little nervous from reviews I had read on the boards, but we went.

the kids really wanted to and we had no adrs so I was not even expecting to get in, but we did with only a 20 min wait.

the server ( I forget her name) was outstanding, very attentive, the whole experience was outstanding
we all loved it . not the best food, but we weren't really there for the food!

I hope you try it again and have a better experience
