So after a nice, relaxing lunch at The Plaza, that night we had an ADR at...
Boma!
I was really excited about this dinner - it was one of the first places we knew we wanted to try at Disney. Plus, I couldn't wait to check out Animal Kingdom Lodge! If we weren't already spending lots and lots of money traveling around the USA for 7 weeks, we would have loved to stay there instead of Pop.
So we arrived at AKL about an hour early, just to have a little look around before dinner. Wow, it really is pretty! And dark! Compared to the bright, bright colours at Pop, anyway! Hehee. We decided to go giraffe spotting. Half an hour later, we saw one. I don't know how anybody finds their way around those hallways of AKL!! Auh!
Anyway, eventually it was time for our dinner at Boma! Yay!
Our waitress was nice, if not a little invisible. We hardly saw her at all, actually. But never mind! Luckily it was a buffet!
To drink, Conan had a mango smoothie, and I had some sort of fruit punch, with orange, apple, and pineapple juice, which was delicious! We were pretty impressed that they came with the dining package, too.
So here's my plate...
Clockwise from top on my plate, there is -
* Potatoes with Afritude - YUM!! I went back for more of these!
* Chicken Tender - What can I say, I love crunchy chicken. Hehee.
* Pasta salad - Nice, but just a pasta salad, really!
* Sun-dried tomato dip with crispy flat bread - WOW! The best dip ever! I could have just had a whole plate of this, except people might have looked at me funny.
* Rubbed spice chicken - Good! I can't really remember it, actually.
* Peanut rice - (in the middle of the plate) was SO delicious! I also could have had a whole plate of this peanut rice! Great creamy texture, and amazing taste!
Here's Conan's plate...
Clockwise from top, on his plate -
* Corn on the cob
* Peanut rice
* Chicken tender
* Ghana salad
* Potatoes with Afritude
* Prime Rib
He enjoyed everything on his plate too, and went back for more peanut rice and ghana salad!
For dessert, our plates were basically the same...
Clockwise from top -
* Strawberry tart
* Chocolate chip cookies
* Zebra domes
* Passionfruit meringue tart
Which was all very yummy, but I think we were a bit too full from our big meals to enjoy them! I was so excited to taste a zebra dome from hearing about them on the DIS boards, but... I didn't really love it! It was nice, but not sensational, as I was expecting!
Anyway, so we loved our dinner at Boma! Everything was very fresh and had great flavour, which was awesome for a buffet. There was so much to choose from! I didn't find anything overly spicy or "different" tasting, like lots of people at DIS seem to say. I think anybody could definitely find some yummy food here and enjoy their meal!
Our score...

out of 5.
Next up... 'Ohana!
