Our Escape Wedding TR/PJ ~ 06/2010 WP/Mizner's/Citricos

If you dont mind me asking, what size are our folders? I recently ordered my pocket folders from Cards & Pockets..I purchased the "Signature" folder (5x7)- it finally arrived today in the mail and it looks so small! Other brides who have used them, they look so much larger in the pictures. idk.

Wendy the invitations are gorgeous and they really match your theme. Sorry that you had a bad experience with the vendor however I think your own have probably come out better. :cool1:

Thanks!! I think so too :goodvibes We wanted the invites to be simplistic but fun and have just a little bit of Disney added in there, so I think we achieved that.

haha I haven't update in a while (I really should...) either!

I really love the invites and the tissue packets! so so pretty :thumbsup2

Thank you Jennifer! I think the more busy I get with stuff the more lazy I get with updating. I have so many little things going on, it's hard to keep up! It's getting so close :cool1:

They're very pretty, nicely done.

Thanks :cutie:

LOVE your invites!!! You did an amazing job! I also love the tissue packs!! As we speak I am also working on my Program fans...so I'm anxiously waiting to see those!!

Yay! I'm glad you like them. We got the Minnie & Mickey kissing watermark inspiration from you :flower3: Ahh I'm working on my program fans too but we're still trying to organize our ceremony, which makes it hard for us to finish the programs...I need to get on that!! I have the template pretty much finished though! :scared1:

great job on the invites! I love the detail you put into them. I'm sorry you had trouble with the seller but I think they really did turn out better and now you can say that you made them :goodvibes. The tissue packets are so cute....I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to do them or not....but I should finish all the other projects I said I was going to do first :lmao:.

Thanks Sarah! I say go for it with the tissue packs...they definitely took a lot of work but they look so darn cute. Eric's mom loved them so much she almost cried when she saw them!

Hi Wendy! Your invites and cry pack turned out beautiful! I love them!! You are so talented. Could you post closer pics of your invite inserts? I never know what people put on, and how they word all the extra cards! Thanks!
Marissa

Thank you Marissa! I will post the actual JPEG files we used for the inserts so you can see what we included! My DF has them on his comp but I will get them from him later today. :goodvibes

Your invitations are incredible! Did you find the template online or come up with it yourself? They must have taken forever! I think I'm going to have to get really good at being creative and patient...I'm hoping to do a lot of DIY stuff to save money. :goodvibes

Thank you! We came up with the design and all the inserts ourselves. The initial work was time consuming but well worth it I think! I'm NOT a DIY girl at all...but boy does wedding stuff change that. DIY can definitely save money!

We ordered from Cards & Pockets as well and got the 5x7 cards, which are shown in my previous post. Yes I agree they do look smaller but it's only the insert side that's 1 inch off from what other companies might sell. I personally loved that the insert side was only 4 inches wide because I didn't want the inserts to overshadow the actual invite. But the actual invite side is 5x7 and typical of most pocketfolds from other companies. I hope that helps!

Here's the JPEG files for the inserts in our invites. They are in order of how they appear in the invite, with some things blocked out like particular times and locations. Hope this helps!

Can you email me the order of your ceremony for the programs. We are having a hard time putting ours in order and it would be great to see yours to give us a better idea. Thanks Wendy!!

I just read through your PJ and love your invites! They are pretty much exactly what I want to do! We are hoping for the 26th of May 2011, so it's going to be fun to tag along your PJ for inspiration and excitement! :goodvibes

I agree! haha so much to do. I can't wait til school is out so I at least have some free time! I only have 3 weeks of no school time to get everything done before the wedding! Hey do you guys have an itinerary of what you plan on doing? Just curious so we can schedule you and Jess in

Wow! Your invites are amazing! It makes me want to go back in time and do something nicer than I did!

I know we have a constant list of things that need to get done before we leave for Florida. We don't have a set itinerary, though we do have some things we've scheduled like ADRs here and there.

I'm glad you like them!! It's just so nice to have them done and out of the way! :goodvibes

Wow I'm in the 30s when it comes to the days left until our wedding!!! :woohoo:

We've been really busy doing wedding stuff. One of the top priorities on my mind is finding Eric's and our Best Man's ties. We've seriously purchased nearly 5-10 ties trying to find the "right" one. I'm looking for a yellow tie, something bright but not too gold in color. Most yellow ties I find are gold! Anyway, I think we finally found a winner! I have the picture I found from a wedding blog on the left, then the actual tie from the store website that I hunted down on the right. They are the same tie despite the discrepancy in color! The color is much more like the picture on the left - the picture from the website doesn't do it justice when it comes to the shade of yellow. I think they will match the yellow Gerber daisy boutineers nicely:

Eric and his BM will both be wearing this tie, at the moment. I love the little dots!

Other than that, we've finally gotten our marriage license in the mail. We went through Brevard County in Florida and did it all through the mail for only $93!! :cool1:

Eric and I have our menus for Citricos done, but we're waiting to print them until we know what entrees might change due to the seasonality of some of the dishes. I will post a picture when we do print them, I just love them!! I just have to say that the Citricos staff have been AMAZING at accommodating our wedding party/guests for our reception dinner.

We are currently trying to finish our vows and ceremony order so I can finish our fan programs! I will also post pics of that when they are finished!

Love Love Love the ties:love: I wanted to let you know that I did not forget about our meet up in Disney, things have just been crazy and I haven't gotten a chance to even think about it! I also ordered the Parasol from a seller on Etsy. It was pretty pricey but I'm in love with it!

The ties are great! I love them. I am glad things are rolling along for you. Can’t wait to see menu’s! We are eating there for one of our fancy dinners and I’m really looking forward to it. We really have to finish the same stuff for our programs…tho its hard for me to get my DF to sit still long enough! Which kind of fan programs you doing? I forget

The yellow ties look great :) I'm very excited for you :cool1:

Thank you! I'm so excited that we FINALLY found ties! That was the one thing I underestimated how long it would take. :lmao:

Yay! Don't worry we've been super busy, too! That's great you found the parasol! I'm still thinkin about getting one too, they are so darn cute. :cutie:

ohhh the yellow ties look great! :goodvibes

Thank you! :goodvibes

the ties are great and match your whole theme so well. I love them!

For real, I was floored when I found them! yay. :lovestruc

Thanks Jenn! I've heard nothing but amazing things about Citricos and they've treated us so well, I'm sure you'll have a great time there. I'll let you know how it goes! We're making fan programs, but not the kind with the handles, the kind that have different panes. I can't wait to get them done, I made a mock up and I think they look great so far! :cool1:

Another thing we did was order a table runner from Etsy for the alter table in the WP. It's a pretty table but we wanted to spruce it up a bit, so I found this amazing runner with this pattern:

get_convo_image.php

We are using two square vases with white and yellow daisies for our centerpieces on the alter table, along with our sand ceremony stuff. So I made a little inspiration board to make sure it all goes together. I think it works well enough. The WP is so pretty, I don't want to do much to change that!
