We are up Saturday morning and make it to our PS at BOMA. This is a very nice place to eat. They had traditional breakfast fare and also a selection of African foods. I was not sure about the African food but I tried it and let's just say I'm still not sure about African food. Everything else was great. We must have hit on an off day or something because there was nobody there.After breakfast we get ready for our day at AK and go to the bus. We are there in five minutes. We got there early enough to see the opening and the characters hung around to meet guests as they entered to park. We head straight for KS, and make the third truck not to bad. We take the gorilla trail on the way back and head to Camp Minnie Mickey to see the Festival of The Lion King. We all love this show and were not dissapointed. From there we go over to see Tarzan Rocks, another great show. We are walking into these shows with no lines it was great. It started raining during the show so when it was over we went to Dinosaur, I don't remember this ride being so intense it was really pretty creepy. I must be getting old. After that it's time to break out the ponchos, not the $6 ones you buy at the park but the ones you buy at K-Mart for two for a buck. Since they close Primeval Whirl during storms we head to the Tree of Life for ITTBAB. While in the tree it stops raining we go back to Dino-Land and go on Primeval Whirl the wait is only 10 minutes, and after that ride the wait is only 5 minutes so we go on it again. My Daughter,Beth and her friend, Tina and I really enjoyed this ride It's kind of the old carnavil ride Tilt-A-Whirl gone wild. My son, Jake thought it was OK and my wife, Ann did not care for it. By now it's about lunch time and Ann and I are not hungry because of the huge breakfast we had but we have three teenagers and they are always hungry. We head over to Pizzafari, the pizza was really bad but hey, they are teenagers they will eat anything. Next we go to Asia and just walk around a bit. We take the trail and look at the tigers and then do some shopping. Jake and I have our lanyards on are busy trading pins with cast members. Ann shakes her head and walks the other way. Now you either get into this or you don't, I happen to like collecting things and pins are just something else to collect. Most of the pins you get from the CM are $6 to $12 pins, now I will admit I purchaced a large amount of Disney pins from a certain web site for 77 cents each and use them as traders for the good pins, hey Disney gets enough of my money. We end our visit to AK with Kali River Rapids we make it the last ride because you usually get soaked, but with the rain off and on it really didn't matter. We head back to the lodge to rest up and get ready for PS at Chef Mickeys. Back at the lodge we all decide to go swimming. The pool there is huge and the kids liked the slide. After the swim Ann and I are getting hungry and are ready for dinner. Chef Mickeys is probably our favorite character dinner the food is great and alot of characters are there and it is just so Disney, five people $140, what are you gonna do? We go back to AKL for the night and the kids go swimming again while Ann and I walk around the grounds and watch the animals. This place is incredible. Day two comes to an end.
