Hey everyone😀

So me, my wife and twins who will be 13 months at the time we go in May this year wanted to share our plan and to get some advice on if you would do anything different. We are from the Uk so want to go at a relaxed pace and do some rides a few times, we are doing 14 nights at Caribbean beach and 2 nights at the polly. Travelling from the uk so doing a long trip.

so this is our schedule, let me know if you would change any park days to something else or if you would change any restaurants to a different restaurant. We plan in doing one quick service and one table service a day. Our girls are great at sleeping in the stroller so we don’t plan in going back for naps

We also have friends we are meeting out there which will be handy and we were planning a few days baby sitting while we enjoy some thrill rides and a relaxing meal etc

anyway here’s our plan

Day 1 - Arrive in the evening, quick service at resort

Day 2 - sea world then dinner at sebrastian bistro

Day 3 - Holly wood studios 10am -4pm. Meeting friends and have baby sitter during this time then with twins Dinner at Disney springs rainforest cafe

Day 4 - magic kingdom, dinner at chef mickey then back for fireworks

Day 5 - Epcot, dinner at san angel inn for one course. Then Epcot desert party if it is back

Day 6 - Hollywood studios, dinner at Hollywood and vine

Day 7 - animal kingdom with friends, dinner at yak and yeti

Day 8 - discovery cove, in the evening a small meal and drink and Rivera

Day 9 - Pool in the morning, baby sitter 1pm to 11pm while we go to magic kingdom and California grill for dinner

Day 10 - Epcot, dinner garden grill

Day 11 - Water park, then baby sitter 4pm to 10pm while we go to Hollywood studios and dinner at sci Fi for dinner

Day 12 - magic kingdom with friends, dinner at the Castle

Day 13 - Animal kingdom, springs in the evening and dinner as chef art smith homecoming

Day 14 - morning at pool, baby sitter 2pm to 10pm white we go to Epcot and dinner at space 220

Day 15 - morning at Hollywood studio, pool time at the polly In the afternoon and dinner at ohana

Day 16, morning at pool Then lunch at magic kingdom skipper canteen then magic kingdom desert party

Day 17, Ohana breakfast, relax at the resort all day, tiki bar, mybe have a look at grand Floridian, Bus 5pm for flight home

- let me know if or what you would change, park or restaurant wise as we love our food and don’t want to miss out or restaurants you think is a lot better

- also with the restaurants we have picked, plus a quick service, a few cocktails in the day and the odd additional ride purchase, already paid genie plus, do you think $4000 dollars is enough to cover all this?

- do you think I’ll have any issues with getting any of these dining reservation, I have tried making the harder places to get further out? or should I change anything to stand a better chance. Really important this

- what room location is best to request/floor etc at Caribbean beach and polly

I no some People may say you don’t need as long at a park as what I have put in but we want to go at a relaxed pace and go on each ride a few times. We also wont be rushing to the parks each morning

I posted this somewhere else but think it may Be better here

look forward to hearing any suggestions

I would be worried about the Rainforest and the twins as it is very very loud during the storm which happens about every 20 minutes with no way to escape storm or animal noises which can scare young ones

I agree. The animals - gorillas, elephants, etc. - are life size and very realistic sounding and moving. Add in the loud sounds of a thunderstorm, and many small kids will be scared.

Third vote to skip Rainforest Cafe. There are so many good restaurants at DS and this isn't one of them. It's loud and the food is mediocre.

I think you will be fine putting the harder to get reservations later into the CBR portion of the trip. You may have difficulty with the 'Ohana reservations as you won't be able to make those until your dining window for Poly opens and it is such a short stay. If you have issues, consider signing up for dining alerts (we like Touring Plans).

What room categories do you have booked at the resorts? That would help with room location suggestions.

Wouldn't day 15 be considered the final day of their CBR resort stay and therefore available for dining booking availability? If not, they could extend the length of the first stay a day or two to open those days up for the dining window availability, make the needed dining reservation and then modify the CBR reservation to the original length.

I thought with it been our final day at CBR it would still count as 60+10 when booking, can any one confirm this

also do I book dinner as 2 people as there under there years old or 4

what about T. rex instead

What time does everyone thinking I should book dinner for with 13 month old twins

I was thinking 6pm

My kids loved Rainforest Cafe around that age. We usually go there once a trip specifically for our kids. The food isn’t outstanding but our girls love the animals and sound effects. I think it’s a good choice.

you need to count the twins on any ressie that they are going to so you need 4 not 2

Checkout day at a resort is included in the 60+10 for making ADRs. However, at 60 days from checkin you can make ADRs for a total of only 10 days. If your stay is longer than 10 days, the remaining ADRs can be made day by day (you’d still be 10 days ahead of anyone with a shorter resort stay), including CBR checkout day. Then at 60 days from checkin to the Poly, you can book ADRs for the entire Poly stay, including checkout day.

You’ll need to book for 4 - even infants count!

Might I suggest Grand Floridian Cafe for breakfast on your last day instead of Ohana, since you will be doing dinner at Ohana on another day? Their breakfast is fantastic and that way you can explore the resort, too.

I also recommend having a couple of back up choices for Space 220 in case you can’t get a reservation there. Les Chefs de France is one of our faves, and we’ve also enjoyed lovely dinners at Le Cellier, Coral Reef, and Rose and Crown. The other option you could consider is munching your way around the Flower & Garden Festival food booths. You’ll get lots of different bits to try, and splitting things between two people is great because you can try more things. It’s a fun couples activity!

As far as times for meals - I recommend sticking close to your normal home schedule for meal times… that continuity seems to help with avoiding breakdowns by the kiddos. 🙂

Sounds like a fabulous trip - enjoy every minute!

thanks for the advice everyone

someone Said do spice road table fireworks dining and I would really be tempted to do this. Plus having drinks included sounds great

what do you think though as I think the dining time is 8-15pm. Not sure how that would work if twins were tired, or if they could nap in stroller in there. But I thought there not allowed in

also does a double buggy fit through the door on sky liner

that’s a good idea actually with breakfast as I did fancy going there anyway

yeah I am worried about the space reservation but I’m getting told because it’s 60 days plus 10 I am going at it shouldn’t be a problem at all 🤷‍♂️

I was thinking the desert parties are quite late for the twins. any advise for going with two 13 month olds, I’m guessing they don’t let strollers in, is there high chairs, not even sure that would work if it’s so late. What would you advise

also we are doing the cali grill and space 220 ourself when the twins have baby sitter.
however I seen a few reviews that sometimes the baby sitter hasn’t turned up.
Am I best booking these restaurants as 4 people instead of 2 incase that happened Or if I book as 2 would they allow 4 as it’s only two high chairs. Just looking at worst case as we don’t want to miss these restaurants and would go with the, if need be

book for 4 and show up with 2. the one I know was one that did not count an infant ended up waiting about 45 minutes passed time as others with ressies for that size of table with correct number were seated ahead. 2 top table would not be able to fit 2 highchairs so you would be looking at a 4 top when you have not reserved that size
