Well, our deadline for closing on our resale was yesterday 6/14 and we still haven't closed. I bet if I wasn't in a hurry to book a trip for November we would have closed weeks ago. The seller sat on their paperwork, last I heard it was mailed out. This has been more frustrating then buying my house. :sad2: Good Luck to everyone else waiting to close, hopefully it won't take as long as mine.

Aw, I am so sorry to hear that. We are supposed to close at the end of this month, but it was thru disney & I know the system works differently, but I know it can be "nail biting" waiting! Here's some pixie dust:wizard: that you'll hear you are closing in the next day or 2! Good luck! Deb

I know how you feel. The waiting is horrible. We sent our check last Wed and now are playing the "seller waiting game" I don't really understand why they make us wait. Oh well I have been so busy that I haven't been dwelling on it but.... I really want my points!!!! Good luck everyone!!:cheer2:

During our waiting time before closing we had a distraction, Our little princess "Anastasia" was born premature, We did close, wired the funds, got the contracts, Made ressies for our Nov trip, And our little Princess will be 6 months old on 6/22 & weights 17lbs.

All the best to all of you waiting. It's worth the wait!

It happened to me too. I contacted TSS (they were handling my resale) and I think they called the seller and lit a fire under their you know what. Within a couple of days the paperwork was signed, notorized, and express mailed to the closing company. I was able to get everything done and was in the Disney system by the time my trip to Disney was scheduled (I was really wanting that AP discount.)

A phone call to your agent might be in order.

Good Luck!!!

Arrgh!

I feel your pain.

We're in the seller waiting game, too.

The #1 thing I learned in this process is that I would be happier waiting until the last minute to send the money. That way, I would control the process and I would know when the closing will occur - rather than sitting here every day hoping the seller will send the danged paperwork in.

Next time, I'll send the check so that it arrives on the final possible day, and then if the seller doesn't get their part done as required under the contract they signed, I'll pull out of the deal and leave them holding the bag.

(That's probably just my frustration talking. I'm always the nice guy that gets taken advantage of by the stupid, lazy, and mean. GRRR it makes me so angry that so many sellers seem not to want the money very much!)

(Okay, I'm better now.)

I hope your seller's paperwork arrives soon! :grouphug:

I keep e-mailing Nancy at the timeshare closing place. I even apologized for being a pest. The last response was 6/13 and she said the sellers paperwork was sent, she's just waiting for it. If they sent it regular mail from Massachusetts I would think it would take a week to get to Florida. it doesn't help I have absoltuely no patients.

Well as a recent seller.... my paperwork arrived on Thursday and I mailed it on Monday. (I was out of town on until Friday so it sat there for a day)

So not ALL of us are bad...

I wish more folks were like you. :)

I know the feeling....I called TTS on Sat May 26 about a contract for SSR. I got the contract emailed to me on Sunday May 27. I faxed it back on Tuesday May 29 (Monday was a holiday and I needed to use the fax at work). Then I started waiting. Dying to find out if we make it through ROFR (Jamie at TTS mentioned it was a low $ amount and that it would be iffy). I get an email on Thursday June 13 and I'm all excited only to find out that our contract just went to Disney for ROFR that day. The seller sat on the documents. My only hope is that they were on vacation and that held things up on their end. On the plus side, as I've been waiting, I've seen a few contracts for SSR very close to our $ amount pass ROFR. I hope to get an answer soon-this is killing me!

We got an e-mail this evening. The sellers documents are in and we will close first thing Monday morning. I'm just crossing my fingers nothine else goes wrong. Now I have to wait to be in the system and that thye have the room we want at BWV still this November. Good luck everyone. pixiedust:

That's awesome! Looks like things are going to be ok soon! Congrats & here's hoping your BWV is available in Nov. Deb

I sent my paperwork in April for our end of June closing. So there are two of us out there :lmao:

We closed!!!! I got an e-mai this morning. Will it really take 10 days to be in Disney's system? What do I do now?

You can call sooner than that and you may be in the system. We showed up first but the points were showing, it took longer for the points to appear.

First of all, congratulations and welcome home!

It is supposed to take 10 business days from closing to "in the system" and able to make ressies. Sometimes it's a day or two less, but it's not likely to be much less. When we closed on our resale, we were in the computer in 8 business days, but with no points. The points went in the next day. If there happens to be a weekend in between, it could drive you nuts, but hopefully that won't happen.

We closed on Tuesday June 12 (even though I didn't find out until Mon June 18) and I called MS today June 19 and all of our points were there and I already used our 2006 to book our Jan trip. So good luck everyone!!!

Thanks everyone! I think I will call Friday morning. I am so worried they won't have anything for 11/11-11/15 and I will lose for 2005 points. I think that is a slow week since it is after F&W and before the Thanksgiving rush. I really want our first DVC trip to be at our home resort BWV but I'll take anything they can give me. We do eventually want to stay at every resort.;)
