well we just got back from hawaii and stayed on oahu and the big island...used dvc points at the mauna lani and i say we stole it for what the point conversion was......if anyone is considering it i say go for it......we are going back there with the kids in june that is how much we liked it......:Pinkbounc :bounce:

I was at the Mauna Lani one year ago, this very week. It was one of the few resorts that we have visited in our travels that rivaled Disney on amenities, service, and atmosphere.

Good advertisement for a seldom used DVC perk!

I agree!!:D We spent 8 wonderful nights at the Mauna Lani this past spring, and just loved it. Glad you had such a terrific experience there too!

Being a nosy parker- how many points did it cost you for your one week at Mauna Lani?

did you have? Was it a regular hotel room or was it one of their villas? I see the villas can go for as much as 750 a night. Hoping to visit the big island on our next trip to Hawaii and this sounds wonderful. thanks

Can you give us a trip report?? I would love to hear a description of the room and resort. Do you think it is appropiate for young children?? (3,4, &7) Thanks

Wow, 260 points! It only cost us 160 for a 1 bedroom/2 bath unit at Kona Coast II on a week exchange! We had lovely golf resort accomodations and a beautiful ocean sunset every night. Of course, the Big Island and Kona especially are always my favorite!

Did you take kids with you? I too am intested in taking an 8 and 4 year old.
