Our completely unpredictable PTR- WDW with Autism May 25-31

His doctor said this may happen but he has had a few seizures this past month and the doc said he had outgrown the weight for his meds so he upped them. When we started them, he did get a bit drowsy but now he is wanting to sleep. Disney will probably be exciting enough to keep him awake tho. He also has been whinier since the dose change which stinks but hopefully he will adjust to it quickly. I had hoped we could avoid med change until after our trip but since he had 2 small seizures we decided it would be better to do it now than have a grand mal at disney.

Today, I did some shopping and started packing. I may only have a few items packed but atleast its a start. Only 9 more days left until we leave and 10 until we arrive at WDW!!! Still have so much to do. I havent decided exactly what we are doing yet regarding the PH. Nor do I know what we will be doing our first day. I do know that Luke is very excited about playing on the sandy beach and swimming at the resort. He really wants to play at the pirate pool which I have read has a height limit and I am afraid he might be too big. I dont really want to do resort our first day because I dont want to feel rushed for a room. I really want my request and I am willing to wait to get it- My request is adjoining rooms on the first floor or two rooms right next to each other on the 1st floor. I really hope they do adjoining rooms though. I think it would be so much better as we can share bathrooms and such easily. I have three parks that might work for that day. The first is my original plan to do MK. The second is Epcot, and the last DHS. Either place we would probably only visit for a few hours. We would get our GAC and ride a few rides. I keep trying to get my family to help me and they just keep telling me to plan and they will follow. Kind of annoying! I really wish they would atleast give me some input because I think that once we are there they will completely boycott whatever I have planned. Think tonight, we will be having a family meeting!

I was reading a post somewhere on the DIS last night, that was talking about connecting vs adjoining rooms. The poster said that connecting meant an inside doorway connecting the 2 rooms, where as adjoining meant next door. If that is the case, you would want to ask for connecting rooms if possible.

Wow!!!! 9 days until you leave untill you leave to go to Disney. :cool1::woohoo: I can't believe how quickly time is flying.

I am glad you got some packing done, I know it can be hard when your kids go through cloths. That is why I bought a pack of underwear and socks for Liam just for the trip. That way I don't have worry about them. Hope everything falls into place this next 9 days.

I am sorry that Luke is having a problem with his med increase. Hopefully is body is able to adjust to it quickly and the excitement of going to Disney will overcome the sleepiness.:thumbsup2 I guess I am lucky that none of Liam's meds cause drowsiness, but the albutorol does sometime make him a little more active. Not always good when it is time for bed.

Can't wait to read your last minute preperations and looking foward to seeing you at the World.:thumbsup2

I can finally see the first day of weather for my trip and it is calling for scattered thunderstorms, YEAH!! Not! I certainly hope we dont get a ton of rain. Luke hates rain! It really freaks him out. 8 days till we leave and in this time 9 days from now, we will be in Orlando!

The thunderstorms have just recently started. Friday afternoon and Saturday, we had some storms. They really unnerved Anakin after not being around storms for so long. The thunder echos off the bodies of water making it sound worse than it is too.

Friday's storm lasted about an hour. Saturday, it seemed every time we went out to swim it started to thunder. Yesterday it looked like it might storm, but we didn't have one!

We tried to catch the fireworks at the MK last night. I'll post pics of the new castle show later today. The castle show was great. Anakin loved the music and the lights. However, the fireworks were a "no go". We ducked into the stores and he pin traded instead. As soon as they ended we headed to the monorail and back to the TTC.

There were several tears at Buzz Lightyear attraction last night, because of changes in the queue. He remembered what was missing and neither my husband or I noticed. Change is just so difficult to get use to for him.

He also noticed the roped off areas of Fantasyland for the fireworks. He was ok with that because it was temporary only for fireworks.

One week from today, we leave! We will drive about 5 hours to Dallas where we will stay overnight in order to catch our early flight the next morning.

Still so much to do and I woke up feeling crummy. No real symptoms other than very tired and just dont feel right. Too much to do to rest though.

In the next week, I need to get a whole lot done.
I need to clean out my work inbox, finish typing up 4 home study reports, check in with a few families I am working with to avoid potential issues while I am away, update our webpage, and set up my email to let people know I am on vacation.

In addition to the work I get paid to do, I need to do a whole lot of laundry, pack, clean house, charge electronic devices, load movies and music onto electronic devices, clean my entire house, do 4 days of school with Jess and Luke, get refills on Luke's meds, take Luke to the doctor for a saturation levels check, return lbrary books, make 3 ice cream cakes for Kara's birthday Friday, and probably even more that I forgot.

I also need to meet with my petsitters to give keys for my house and I will need to take Luke's dog to a friends for sitter service.

I hope to find time to tan a little (I do not want to burn at Disney) and to get a pedicure but acknowledge it probably will not happen.

Stephen is working up until the day we leave. Today is his last day off until vacation. He will work till 1pm next tuesday so you can bet he wont be helping much. His work schedule is crazy. He actually goes to work at 7 am and does not get home before 10pm ever. When he gets home, he has so much to do as he is working on his masters degree that he will be doing school work each night which leads me to another thing I will have to do... I have to proofread his work before he submits it... Way to much to do... I am not organized enough and I know I will forget something.

Just keep in mind, that amost anything that you would need could be purchased on site. So don't stress too much over missing things.

Just take a deep breath and start your "this time next week...:woohoo:'s"!

Hope you feel better soon! But better something to hit now than at WDW. :thumbsup2

Keep us posted on all you accomplish so we can celebrate along!! :cheer2::cheer2:

Star Wars Weekends schedule is out! Time to start planning! I just hope each weekend is similar to the first since that is all they are sharing.

In exactly 1 week, right about now, we will be landing at MCO! The plan is to check in at the resort and head to MK. We may or may not grab a bite in the CBR food court, will just depend if anyone is hungry or not. At MK, we plan to do AdventureLand, FrontierLand, and the Mickey meet and greet. That will probably be all we do that day. We will probably grab dinner in the MK and then head back to our resort no later than 7. We might swim, depending on how tired we are or we might just crash early. Our day will start at 5am so we may need the rest. I am hoping both Luke and Jess sleep on the plane, that will help keep them from getting to tired and cranky, but it most likely will not happen, atleast not for Luke.

Glad to hear a schedule is posted for the first weekend!! :woohoo:

Hope it helps with planning! Your arrival day sounds great!

This time next week, we will be at AK! Our schedule is pretty loose there. Dh wants to eat at Flame Tree BBQ. He saw the menu and decided this was the perfect lunch place. We have an ADR for Rainforest Cafe in the evening to celebrate Kara's 18th birthday, disney style! She wants a volcano dessert.
The plan is to be at AK shortly after opening, no later than 10am. We will head to the boneyard with Luke and Kara and Spencer will head to EE to ride and get 3 FP for later in the day. Then they will head to KRR to get 3 more FP and if the line is short, probably ride it twice too. We will dig in the boneyard for a little while, then hopefully see the nemo musical. I really want to see it. Depending on the time, we might explore dino land a bit or we may head over to Flame Tree BBQ to meet up with Kara and Spencer for Lunch. After this, we hope to use our FP to ride KRR and EE, and hopefully we can grab FP for KS for everyone too. We are planning to head to the conservation area after this, figure it is air conditioned and Jess really loves this area. She can talk with CM's for hours about habitats and animal care. She got to watch a snake surgery our first trip and we missed it our second. This trip, we promised to let her go and hang out for a good amount of time. We may stay with her or we might split up a bit, not sure yet. I am thinking after this we will use our FP to ride KS and then head over to Camp Minnie Mickey. Our last trip the lines were shorter for the characters later in the day so I hope it is the same way this time. I want to see FOTLK but know I probably wont get to. Then its dinner at RFC! Hopefully will be a good day!

Yea for next week plans. In just a few days I can start doing this to.

Yep! The dis is so much fun. No one else can understand my love for disney. I love to meet people who love this as much as I do, and I love to read about their plans. Yours sound like so much fun. I cant wait to read your TR! Of course, by that time we will both be sad and missing disney world...

I know what you mean about no one else understanding the disney love!

I still wish you where not leaving on my arrival day. :sad1: I would have loved to have a dismeet with you.

still, doing the happy dance for you! :woohoo:

Yay that the Star Wars Weekend opening schedule has been released! We are also hoping that the schedule will be similar for subsequent weekends (we are attending on June 4th).

I just gave our petsitter our key yesterday!

I was hoping to fit in a spray tan before we go, but I doubt I'll be able to fit it in, either. I hope no one mistakes me for a StormTrooper! I have a mani/pedi scheduled over lunch for May 25th (crossing my finers I can escape from work that day!!). Ha!

It's almost time to go! Yay!!
