Our Christmas Trip in PICTURES!!!! ~~Oh...and I'm obsessed with the Castle~~

Love the pics! Looks like the lighting ceremony was great. I see lots of people holding up their cameras for pics.:thumbsup2

Ut oh, throw up doesn't sound good.:lmao:

you're pics are beautiful! I'm still very jealous that I didn't get that gorgeous castle last December!

We have always managed with the full size bed, although we have a full size at home so that's probably why we aren't bothered by it at WDW. Yes we want to upgrade but we are planning to move next year and don't want to ruin a brand new bed (hopefully a sleep number bed!) in the move!

Is it just me or do Minnie and Goofy appear to be blinking in that first picture of the "Dreams" show?? Do they have the capability of blinking now or did the pictures just come out that way???

Hey Simba....sorry I missed your post somehow :confused3

Well....never say never....but I don't plan to ever do a week long trip like that without at least a Queen size bed....we slept in a queen forever but haven't really been in anything smaller....we both just laughed when we saw those beds

And yes....the character heads are animated now....not all of them.....but they have done that....I think I read it on TGM....can't remember....pretty cool though huh....

After staring at it for awhile

I met back up with the hubby and we did some fantasyland things and then rode the TeaCups

I had told Matt I wanted him to spin it as fast as I could, and that the last time I remember having so much fun on that type of ride (it was the Little Duce Coupe  ) was when I was with some people in 8th grade, and that it was incredible!!!

Well....
he spun....
P1020814.jpg

and spun
P1020815.jpg

and spun some more

I was laughing so hard I couldn't even tell him to stop.....and

FINALLY the ride stopped!!!

NO I didn't throw-up :lmao: ....but I think I might have felt better if I did....good grief I hadn't had that sick of a feeling in my stomach :headache: in forever....and seriously...it makes me sick feeling just thinking about it :rotfl2:

I guess I'm just not young any more...but I do think with all that spinning I prob could have taken the intense side of Mission Space for sure!!

Once my stomach calmed down we went and had a snack in Tomorrowland....I think this is where I got my YUMMY spicy cheese pretzel.....now I know after thinking about losing what is in your stomach how could you eat this....but it was GOOD!!!! If you ever get the chance to try one DO IT!!! They are great!!!

We found a spot where I could see the top of the castle

And while hanging out wishes started....here is the only decent pic from that batch....

At this point it was about 9:30....we had MK EMH's to look forward to and Matt was ready to GO....maybe the teacups didn't do to well for him either....but anyway....I wasn't very happy b/c he wanted to leave, and he wasn't very happy b/c I wasn't very happy :rotfl: , but needless to say we got back on the monorail....
P1020844.jpg

and if you can tell....we got to be Pilots!!!

So that definitely ended the night on a good note pixiedust: ....I should always tell myself....Disney is good....Disney is good :goodvibes

My camera didn't take very good pics from inside the monorail and going however fast we were going but here's a few....

Don't be sorry....it was funny....and oh...there goes my stomach again...

Me too....along with all the people around me.....really now that I think about it the funniest thing was me walking out of the dang ride.....I bet if someone could have taped that we would all be enjoying it

And yes I thought the swans were a good touch......Wonder if Dawn would you be good with those ;)

UUUUGHHHH spinny rides!!that is NO good!!! When we went on the teacups in June i was sure to be in the "non" spinning cups..whereas my other friends spun a ton..no thanks!
mmm spicy cheese pretzel..that sounds good to me! :)

Those spicy cheese pretzels are my favorite snack in wdw! I've only ever found them in Tomorrowland and Dockside Diner at MGM. mmmmmmm:cloud9:

Hey Erica! Sorry I haven't visited your thread for a while. I'm playing catch up today. I enjoyed the Opryland nostalgic pics (you were such an adorable little girl). I only visited Opryland once when I was about 6 or 7. My first ride on a "big" coaster (as opposed to a kiddie coaster) was on the Timber Topper. We usually went to Six Flags Over Georgia since it's closer to Birmingham (and has more coasters and other thrill rides), but not long before Opryland closed I entertained thoughts of going there and was disappointed when I heard it was going to be shut down. It's hard to believe that happened 10 years ago.

Loved the gingergread carousel and moose pics. :thumbsup2

The Dream Along With Mickey show looks like it was sponsored by the University of Kentucky with everything decked out in royal blue. :lmao: :rotfl2:

That was a cool series of pics showing the lighting of the castle. :thumbsup2

LOL at the fast spinning on the tea cups. I did the same thing with my son, Austin. :rotfl:

Those towel swans are awesome!

Hi fellow Tenneessean! I just found your trippie today!! I have to go back and read everything now since I'm only through day 1. I recognized your name from my trip report and your dog pics of course!! Love what I've read so far and your pictures are gorgeous!!! I for one love details. We were in Nashville last weekend for the Jets/ Titans game as DH is a big jets fan :rolleyes1 . Opryland at Christmas is just gorgeous, we have gone there the last 2 years to see the Christmas decorations. We also saw Devine at Opryland Hotel.

My DH loved your Castle pics with it all lit up for Christmas!! Remember he doesn't love Disney like the rest of us. After seeing your pics you said maybe we should go in November or December :) . SO thank you for posting those :worship: pics!!

How did you like POFQ? I'm thinking of booking there for November :goodvibes .

Well....
he spun....

i could've spun all day but right towards the end of the ride ray looked at me and just shook his head, so i knew it was time to stop spinning. nobody got sick, thank goodness.

oh, and by the way, i don't know whether you ended up doing the intense version of mission space or not, but it's nothing like the teacups. you can't tell you're spinning....you just feel this really wierd sensation....like you can't move your body and your face is gonna go into the back of your head. it's very cool if you like that sorta thing! we never got dizzy...we were just a little wobbly when we got off. but i took dramamine before i got on it just in case.

Great trip report with beautiful pictures. :goodvibes

I'm going back next December to see all the decorations at the parks and at the resorts. :) What was your foavorite resort? I was in WDW the first week of November this year but all I got to see of the Christmas decorations was Epcot's tree.

Do they have a list in Epcot of what times the Santas are in each country?

Keep up the good work, I'm waiting for more. :)

All caught up.

The gingerbread carousel looks incredible.

I do not do tea cups.

Spicy Cheese Pretzel is added to my list of snacks to try.

The towel swans look great.:thumbsup2
