Our Christmas Trip in PICTURES!!!! ~~Oh...and I'm obsessed with the Castle~~

I'm here! Thanks for letting me know you were doing this. I've been so busy, its hard enough keeping up with the rest of the threads I'm subscribed to, let alone search the boards for more! But I made it, and I'm all caught up.:thumbsup2

You're really moving right along here. You got some really great pictures! I love those pictures of the castle. I wish I could see it all lit up like that. Very pretty! And the gorilla...:lmao: . I've always wanted to try Le Cellier, too. Too bad about your mousse. Looks like you either had a really great spot for Illuminations, or you have a really great zoom on that camera. Those pictures are wonderful!

Aww the poor moose!

Great trip report so far, I love the pictures :thumbsup2:

Thanks Kait.....I just thought the moose thing was hilarious!!

i did not know it was moose hunting season. :rotfl2: i would have thrown it out too. The pics are great. sounds like a great day.

I didn't SHOOT him!!!!! :rotfl:

tuna - i knew i'd see you over here! any TR by a person with the name VANDYfan would attract you (and me!)

erica - great pics! that poor moose....:rotfl: where did you view illuminations from? we're walking from the beach club/boardwalk area to epcot to see illuminations when we go in april and i'm just wondering where a good spot is to see it from.

love the pics of opryland, too! and those ball-filled playgrounds are SO GROSS!!!!! but everyone jumped in them, including me. ew! :scared:

We watched illuminations from the steps right by the stort in Canada....it was a good place....I think we prob could have found better but didn't want to walk much past the IG....so we just took a seat....at least we were able to sit the whole time...that was nice

Love your trip report. We were there the 10th to the 15th. Loved Le Cellier also. Best meal of the trip. Would you be willing to email you castle at night photo? We were never at magic kingdom at night and I would love to put it in my daughters scrapbook. It is an incredible photo. Look forward to more. If I find the time I might post a short TR. I'm waiting for photopass photos to download while I read this. Thanks for posting.

E-mail sent.....let me know if it doesn't work :goodvibes

Yes I am.....If you mention your a Vandy fan here in Central Virginia you get laughed at....I follow UVA and Vandy......

Anyway....it great to know that there are Vandy fan's out there like yourself and punkin413.......I admire punkin413 for being a Vandy fan in Georgia county....

SWEET!!!! Another VANDY FAN!!!! pirate: GO DORES!!!

I'm very proud of my boys so far.....need to keep it up....we play TSU Sat....one of those 'should be' easier games....but it's also exam week....and we are WELL known to come out flat after that week....who could ever imagine why :confused3 ...:rotfl:

This picture is AWESOME.

Thanks jordan....have your ADR's changed again :lmao:

That poor moose. I can't wait to eat at Le Cellier!

LeCellier was the bestest!!! I also read someone elses report that said it was their fave too.....I forgot to add we did have to wait an extra 10-15mins but it wasn't bad....the really wierd, but NICE, thing was we got a table in the corner that was actually a 4 seater....so we weren't cramped at all....but that place is really small :grouphug:

You got it.......Vandy women are the best!!!!

pirate: pirate: :woohoo: Wooooooooooooo Hoooooooooooo :woohoo: pirate: pirate:

Hey I'm all caught up! LOVE LOVE LOVE your pics!!!! They are wonderful! I felt as if I was seeing the castle for the first time!!! Wasn't it awesome?!!!!

Thanks for the pic of the chocolate carosel. I didnt get a chance to see that. OH! I missed Illuminations too. Funny how your plans change when your feet and legs are in charge!!!!

Looking forward to more!

It was INCREDIBLE!!! I hope the Animal Kingdom Lodge was great :goodvibes ....that's one resort we didn't get to go see :guilty:

I'm caught up, and I LOVE the pics & memories of Opryland! My df's family is from Joelton/Ashland City area, so we summered there a LOT when I was a kid, and I LOVED Opryland! Especially loved the Little Deuce Coupe...we made my cousin SO SICK spinning him around on that one...

We were in WDW from the 8th-14th, as well, but as we were with the kids, all our meals were character/themed, I am loving hearing about the restaurants I didn't make it to, gives me ammo for planning another trip!:rotfl:

FUN!!!! More Nashvegas peeps  .....the Little Douce Coupe was one of the best.....it was a must do for sure!!! I remember we got to go my 8th grade year for a class trip and I somehow ended up on that ride with a couple of the coaches....that was the fastest I think I have ever been on that ride....I remember it being awesome!!! I had hubby take me on the tea cups this trip and I thought I was going to die after that....I guess getting older does suck :lmao:

BTW.....I stole your dancing Cinderella for my sig :goodvibes ....if that's not ok please let me know :thumbsup2 ...I just loved her princess:

You're pic from the BC is beautiful! We will have some extra time on our trip in March so I'm hoping to do a little resort hopping myself.

sorry about your moose! The same thing happened to us with dessert we tried to take back to the resort. It was so unrecognizeable by the time we got back it didn't look appetizing anymore and it went the way of your moose!

Loving your pics and report! Keep 'em coming!!

Thanks Simba :goodvibes ....using the IG was a great idea....I will definitely do that again....especially if we are going to one of the countries to eat or something......not positive but I think the Boardwalk would be a pretty easy walk to Epcot too :tiptoe: ....but it is very pretty in that lagoon

I love all your pics! Espeacially the ones of the castle!

I got a good laugh over your dh in his short shorts and tube socks!

Welcome Winkers!!! Isn't he CUTE!!!! Thanks for joining....I hope you enjoy :santa:

We have never eaten at LeCellier or done Illuminations.....must add it to the to do list in June, usually we hit Epcot in morning after Future World (Test Track, Mission Space and Soarin) and trip around World Showcase we're tired and the puppies are barking so it back to resort.....we'll have to work it to go later to eat and watch Illuminations.....

Have a wonderful Holiday Season :santa: and all the best in the New Year!

Go Vandy........:cheer2: can't wait for more...popcorn:: now back to :surfweb:

We still loved the teacups, my kids do too, we spin as fast as we can and they just laugh hysterically the whole time. That's one I still love, but its still not as good as the Coupe was, with the strobes and all...

You are welcome to my Cinderella, glad you like her, I got her from another Diser as my youngest is a Cinderella fanatic...

LOVED all the new pics you put up!!
I have never seen Spectro for some reason..it looks so pretty...I dont' know how you took those without them being a big blur-fest..great job! :)

It is called the great panasonic camera....that was borrowed from my dad :goodvibes.....I'm trying to figure out how to make it mine!!!

That's what Drew wants for Christmas so badly - a Panasonic. We looked at one on sale for $700. SALE for $700??? What happened to the days when we were satisfied with those $6 disposable deals? I can't get it for him right now, not at that price, but if he sells the old one and puts that money toward one and adds some of his own money, then maybe he can get it. $700 isn't a lot when you're talking about something important (like a Disney trip), but it starts sounding like a lot when it's for one itty bitty camera. He is all about cameras, though, and truth is he's probably like to have one that costs twice that that is capable of doing all kind of awesome effects. Oh well, Santa isn't going to be able fit that in his budget...er, uh, sack...this time around.

Spectro is a good parade to watch, but it wreaks havoc with picture taking. It's not so easy to get non-blurry pictures, but I still keep trying.

$700 sheesh!!!! Which one is it??? Just curious b/c I might want it too if it's THAT good :rotfl: ......This camera you can get for $250...it is the pansonic DMZ-FC8.....and the newest version they have out of it now is $350....my dad is wanting the newest one....so we may work out something....but of course now I want the new one too :rotfl2: .....this camera has a 12x zoom....and the newest one has a 18x....crazy

I am going to sell my little cannon that I have sometime soon....and get a new camera....of course it seems the smaller the better but I didn't really mind carring this camera....it's bigger but it doesn't even weigh a pound  ....we'll see....BUT, as long as dad lets me borrow his

MeMom I hope you guys have a GREAT trip and a very Merry Christmas!!!!

Guys I'll get an update soon....working on uploading my photopass pics right now....it's a little time consuming :scared: ....I'll be up and running again soon :upsidedow

I just got the Panasonic DMCTZ3 a couple of months ago and I LOVE it!! I haven't used all the features yet, but it has a 3" screen which is fabulous. the zoom is 10x optical and 4x digital which brings it to a total of 40x zoom. Fabulous!!! I am shooting everything in sight in preparation for our Magic cruise in March. I highly recommend Panasonic.

GREAT pics of spectro!!!!! usually everyone's pictures of this are blurry and completely don't do it justice.

i remember that guy!!!! i can't believe opryland is no more....now it's a stupid mall!

I have said that same thing so many times! It makes me sad to pull into Opry Mills and see the rock that used to be part of the Grizzly River Rampage.

I'm glad to know you like this camera....I've been looking at it too b/c it's the smallest one I've found with that kind of zoom, at least in my price range :thumbsup2

Hi! Love your report! You got some really good pictures! I also loved the castle, love Spectro, and loved Le Cellier. So sorry about the loss of your moose! He would have been yummy! Excited to hear more and see if we crossed paths and didn't know it!

Merry Christmas Eve! I'm going down to check on your castle tomorrow!!! I haven't had time to be excited about Christmas or Disney World much because school has been so crazy, but now that all that is behind me for two weeks, I'm very MERRY excited!

I hope you have a great Christmas over there in your neck of the Tennessee woods!

If you are obsessed with the castle then so am I. I seriously just upload all my 1000 pics and noticed how many of the castle I took. LOL

It didn't last long for us to use the 2 beds together and then separate....now also remember my knee was killing me....so as sad as it seemed I didn't mind not being cramped :headache:

But on to MGM!!!!
