We just got back. This is our 3rd trip as a family....I have been too often to remember....went lots as a kid.

I was expecting record crowds, what with it being spring break and Easter, but we never got any of that.

First day was 4/10. Arrived at Grand Floridian at 1p. It was warm, sunny...just beautiful. Got checked in early and were upgraded to a marina/water view, from just a garden view. We quick changed and headed to the pool. Our daughter loved the slide (2 years ago we stayed at the Polynesian, and that slide was too scary for her). I got a pina colada and basked in the sun. That night we did the character dinner in 1900 Park Fare....was OK. Not impressed with the food.

4/11 (Easter) went to Epcot. We got hand picked by the nicest monorail driver ever to ride up front. Only 4 can ride up front (my parents were with us) so Grandpa had ride in the rest of of the train, but the driver had our daughter make an announcement to the train saying "Happy Easter Grandpa". He let her open the doors, and then got Grandpa for a group photo. He gave us lots of monorail licenses. Got there around 9, and it wasn't crowded at all. We were just about the first people in Living Seas. Didn't have to really wait in a long line for anything. We got a fast pass for Test Track, but it was for evening time and it had started to rain and storm, so the ride was closed down. DD and I passed on Mission Space, but DH liked it (had gotten a fast pass for it). Had dinner at the Coral Reef, which was fantastic. Didn't stay for Illuminations due to weather.

4/12 went to Magic Kingdom. Still raining in morning (Stopped first at Chef Mickey's for breakfast. This is my favorite character meal there, and we had a great time) Got our ponchos and headed off anyway. Upon arrival at park it had stopped. Did meet and greet with characters, and then into Fantasyland. No lines for anything. We rode Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, Small World, and did Mickey's Phillharmagic with no wait. Didn't have to wait for Haunted Mansion either. Got fast passes 2X for Splash Mountain. Park attendence picked up in afternoon, but still not badly crowded. Got a good spot to watch both parades (I like Main Street Electrical Parade much better than Spectromagic).

4/13 went to Blizzard Beach. I little drizzly in the morning, and not terribly warm. Not crowded at all. Didn't have to wait in line really for anything. Never rained while we were there, though got a little chilly at points. Did Hoop De Doo that night, which was great fun....we always go.

4/14 we hung at the hotel. Our daugther did the Wonderland Tea, and seemed to really enjoy it. She also got the "My First Manicure" at the Spa. I was not overly impressed with the Spa. Went to La Nouba at night, which was fantastic. Walked around downtown Disney, which I just really don't care all that much for. It just seems kind of un-Disney to me. Guess I am a traditionalist.

4/15 - We did Animal Kingdom and MGM. Probably most crowded day we saw, but still not a problem for us. Got right on Kilamanjaro Safari in the am (with fast pass). Didn't have to wait much for Tough to be a Bug. Got a fast pass for Kali River rapids, but it ended up breaking down. We didn't do any of the trill rides in MGM....not our daughter's pace. The things we did do we didn't have too much of a wait. Came back and daughter went swimming. Then had dinner at Citricos (very good!).

4/16 - Enjoyed the pool a bit @ hotel before leaving at about 10:45a.

I couldn't believe how cold it was down there!!

Oh...and I have to mention how wonderful Pal Mickey is!! He told us lots of stuff about attractions (we never would have found the secret passage in the fort on Tom Sawyers island without him), when lines were short, where characters were, and lots of jokes. Well worth the $60. You can also rent him.

Sounds great-- I couldn't believe the number of reports on how chilly it got for this time of year. Sounds like the rain and cold might of helped w/ the crowds though!

Thanks for reporting.

Me and my youngest daughter went to Marquette MI to visit my oldest daughter at NMU for Easter. We commented on how last year we were in Florida at Easter.

When we went to church for Easter, I wore sandals and capris and a sweater. We laughed how last year we were sweating in Florida at St. Augustine's Cathedral and this year we were walking in 2 inches of snow at St. Peter's Cathedral.

Everyone wore winter coats yet. I'm sorry, I just cannot face my winter coat any longer. That nite we saw on the weather channel it was chilly down in Florida on Easter.

We all agreed, we rather be at WDW for Easter. Crowds in all.

We arrived 4-3 thru 4-16. Weather was quite up and down this year. Have been down here for the last 10 years at Easter. Even though weather was so so wouldn't trade it for the snow that was happening Easter sunday back home!! This is my first time on the disboard - never new about this site. Met a fantastic DVC lady from Illinois who gave me the site address in BCV laundry room. THANKS again to her - hope she has a great time at the DVC reunion in MAY
