Our "budget" vacation this year!

Would love to do a Williamsburg trip too, but as it's 6 hours more driving each way for us compared to driving to WDW, DH won't go for it Flying plus rental car would wipe out any cost advantage for us over going to Disney. Instead of using it as a lower-cost option for us, I'm trying to fit Williamsburg in as an "on the way" to NJ to visit family trip next year . Can't wait to hear how OP's trip goes so we can get some more tips

It is definately not buget but I highly recommend Le Yaca if you want some really good food. It is a French resturant and the food there is fantastic and reservations are recommend.

We live 3 hours from there and also love Chippokes state park for some nice walking trails. They also have a beach there where you can find the state fossil. The shells are really pretty and sometimes you can even find a shark tooth or 2.

We're going to Williamsburg the 1st weekend in June and staying at Great Wolf. Sadly, though besides a short trip to the outlets we'll probably spend all of our time there. Would love to go to BG someday...
