DW retired officailly on 10/01/06 so I schedule these cruises as a celebration. Because she had to work Friday the 29th we couldn't fly out till the 30th. Our daughter & Husband settled on their new house on the 29th so we were able to help them move in. My DW was very nervous about doing a B2B as she felt it was too long and we'd get bored, that never happened, we had a wonderful cruise.

The only problem was people smoking were they shouldn't. I got a bad sinus infection on the 2nd cruise. I wrote DCL a letter and asked if they couldn't afford to put up a few no smoking signs. It seems they don't get a lot of complaints. I resent having to be the Cigerette police while on ship. I assume most people don't read the booklet they send, or can't tell port from starboard, or simply don't care.

We got off the ship in St. Thomas to get a piece of jewelery repaired and saw a beautiful blue and white dianond ring that we fell in love with, so it's no longer in the window and our spending was way over the limit we set so we stayed on board for both cruises except for Castaway Cay. The weather was great the first time, they said it was the best weather in over a month. A very large stingray came to within 3 feet of the shore and trailing him/her around was a four foot baraccuda, finally left after anb hour and we were able to enjoy the rest of the day. The air BBQ was great as usual, had 1 and a half steak sandwiches, cup of ice cream for dessert. The best news was the DW gained only three lbs and I gained nothing. This was a very big concern before the cruise, but it seems we were very full eating three meals a day with desserts and did no snacking between meals. So we've decided to do another B2B in 2/03 & 2/10 2007. Our last cruise for awhile as we told our DD that we would be her baby sitter, Ian is due late Dec or early Jan so we figured we could squeeze this one in.

We saw two shows while on board, it seemed the sun sucked the energy right out of us. The shows haven't changed and we've seen them at least three times. I discovered they show them on TV. A issue doing a B2B is the movies don't change. I watched the Divici Code twice as well as RV twice, and across the Hedge. We did see the movie Guardian it was great, don't miss this one. We saw the Wild on our 4/15 cruise and it was really bad, so we didn't bother going to see it, besides the seats in the theatre are horrible.

Had Clive & Carolina as servers, she was really great, from Costa Rica always had a smile and a great personality. On the second cruise we requested Joyce from St. Vincent as we had her twice before. Had a great couple on the first cruise and had no one on the second cruise, it seemed like all families with kids at the first seating which is our choice. All of the older crowd were at the late seating, we hate to go to bed on a full stomach.

The bulk of our time was spent at the adult pool, very relaxing, quiet in the mornings and very crowded in the afternoons. One family tried to stay, you could see the kids were no older than 14. etwice they talked to the parents and they kept saying the kids were 18, finally an officer got involved and they left in a huff. Looks like there's no smoking in any of the clubs now, I was surprised the Cove Cafe was smoke free.

On Saturaday morning between cruises we got into our bathing suits and headed up to the adult pool to find it roped off and the water gone, so that ended that. We sat in the lounge chairs and read, went down and got ice tea strolled up on deck ten. Was great not having to pack and not having that down feeling cause you have to leave and by the next friday your ready to leave, no regrets. I would have stayed anothe week but my wife missed the kids. The ship was only 65% full, a lot of people got upgrades. some from cat 8 to a cat 4 that was huge.

I packed four outfits for dinner 5 tshirts some socks and 2 bathing suits, washed on friday and had plenty of clothes. My wife took half her universe and never did get a chance to wear everything she took.

I did get to the Doctor on Monday and got a z pack and pregnazone, that's why I'm still up at 1am The stuff is wicked but it's the only thing that will clean out my sinuses.

It's not an excitng report, but we really went to get in touch and relax. It was everything we could have asked for. The B2B will celebrate our 36th anniversary. I will schedule dinner at Palo's We have never been there before. I hope it's as great as everyone says. It will be our 9th & 10th Disney cruise. We did go to the new Castaway Club meet, never won a prize in either one. Went to both DVC member meets, finally won a towel, tired of getting the mesh bags.

Finally got to do the Kitchen tour, wasn't really impressed as you didn't get to see anyone in action. I use to work for CBOARD and Disney uses thier food software to run the ship and all the parks. So I got to see a lot of active kitchens from Las Vegas convention center to Several big Vegas Hotels.

Time to try to sleep.

Hi. I'm glad I finally got to meet you even though is was our last day. I looked for you and your dw from the very first day. If you don't remember me and my dh we were the ones sitting in front of you are the last show. We were celebrating our 39th anniversary. This was our first cruise but we hope many more to come.

Glad you had a good time!! Congrats to DW on her retirement!! Thanks for the report! :)

It was great to read about your B2B. I am so happy that you had a wonderful time. I bet that ring is beautiful and Mary deserves it. I can't believe (well then again I can) you are going to do another B2B in Feb. I hope your daughters pregnancy is going well. Congrats Mary on your retirement. Now you can just sit and relax where ever you want. :thumbsup2
