Our Anniversary Week at the Happiest Place on Earth!! TR DONE 8/30 SOUVENIR POST SOON

Great update. Now I want a quesadilla for dinner! And I can totally understand the 'have to do everything RIGHT NOW' mentality.

My fiance and I lived together for a year and a half before we got engaged and I think it worked out great! No rush to get married for sure though.

I thought it was going to be a proposal too. Next time enjoying your tr can't wait to see and hear more.

No proposal yet! I won't get married until I'm at least 25 so not for a while LOL Glad you're liking the TR so far! :thumbsup2

:cool1: woo hooo for your next trip! You must have done a good job if Chris wants to go back!!

I'm glad you guys got some down time and some drinks!!

Can't wait to read more!!

I did a good job thanks to all my Dis friends and all the thing I've learned on here from everyone!

Sitting down to relax and have drinks definitely helped. And no, I wasn't tipsy off of one drink if thats what you heard. It was false...:rolleyes1  LOL

Great update. I can't wait to hear about the fridge scandel.
I am super wound up at Disney too. I can go with very little sleep while there, b ut at home I am megam "witch" without sleep. LOL!

:rotfl: I really love that you just called the fridge ordeal a scandal. Thanks for that LOL I never do well on less than like 6 hrs of sleep and I would have been a huge witch at home or at WDW. I think I managed to do ok after the first day!

I just found your trip report. Yay! I am all caught up and ready for more. popcorn::

:welcome: Thanks for joining in! Look out for another update by this weekend :thumbsup2

Thanks! Quesadillas definitely do sound yummy right now! And I was totally feeling like I had to do everything immediately and it just wasn't going to work for 7 days.

I definitelyyyy plan on living with Chris for some time before we get engaged. In this day and age I think it's almost necessary to live together first, in my opinion anyway. And THANK YOU for understanding my no rush to get married thing. No one on here is pushy but people in real life are and its frustrating!

Oh okay...because you're the one who's always at the gym while I'm sitting on the couch like a lazy bum. So shush. End of story. :p

joining in! :) congrats on your upcoming trip! hopefully I'll be going back in November also, that is, if i can convince my pesty boyfriend to go back again

Thats how I feel about if we get to go in November. We will be able to just hit things that we either missed this trip or want to do again. There's lots of things we did that we dont feel we need to do again right away. I'm thinking though that if we get to go 2x this year its going to be hard to not be able to do that every year! :headache:

It's easy to get hooked.

Just wanted to let you know that I am following now! :)

From one Chris to another!

P.S. If I ever saw a plane like that, I would be OUTTA THERE!!!!!

Uh I haven't been to the gym in like 2 months LOL so I win!!!

joining in! :) congrats on your upcoming trip! hopefully I'll be going back in November also, that is, if i can convince my pesty boyfriend to go back again

:welcome: Thanks for joining in! Tell your boyfriend you NEED to go back because I want to have my first Dis meet!

It's easy to get hooked.

It sureeeeeee is!

Just wanted to let you know that I am following now! :)

From one Chris to another!

P.S. If I ever saw a plane like that, I would be OUTTA THERE!!!!!

:welcome: Thanks for coming over here! I'll let Chris know theres another one out there, a Disney lover nonetheless. The plane was definitely a little freaky with insulation coming out the side!

Well I've been studying for most of the day today (except for a break here and there to run and get my mom a mother's day gift, shower, eat dinner etc.) and it's time for a break. I'm going to be studying for the rest of the weekend because I have 3 FINALS BACK TO BACK (8:30-10, 10-11:30 AND 11:30-1) on Monday :headache: I'm not sure if I'll be back until after then, if I have enough will power to stay off the Dis that is, so nows a good a time as ever to give you all another update! I reuploaded all my pictures to photobucket and made them bigger. It actually worked out better because they're all in some kind of order now and hopefully I'll be able to find them easier now. Let's get on with the show!

------------------------------------------------------------------

So when I last left you Chris and I had just finished our drinks at the ASMo pool bar and were heading back to our room to get changed and head out to Downtown Disney for the night. If there's a dirty rumor going around that I was a slighty intoxicated after ONE drink, don't listen to it. It was totally false, I swear.....:rolleyes1 ANYWAY, thats just what we did. I made sure I didn't get my hair/head wet in the pool so I wouldnt have to go through the whole procedure of taking another shower (I showered before we left in the AM) because I take a really long time to do that. So we quickly got changed and headed to a bus for DTD. On the way I snapped some pictures of course. In order for me to have taken these shots at this time we must have strolled around ASMo for a bit because not all of these spots were on our way to the bus stop.

After a short wait our bus pulled up!

We were supposed to have reservations at Raglan Road this first night we were there. A few weeks before we left, I took another look at the menu there and realized there was almost nothing that I would eat. So I cancelled it therefore, we had no place scheduled to eat tonight. Also if my PTR readers remember we also had the option of heading to Magic Kingdom tonight! We had extra days on our tickets thanks to the 4/3 deal and MK was open until 3am that night (EMH). However, after seeing how pooped we were and since we'd been awak since 3am that morning we decided to just skip it. While waiting at the bus stop for DTD we realized we had probably made the right decision because the line for the MK was LONGGGGG. Anyway, we got to DTD and were hungry for some dinner! We stopped to look at the direction thingy/map by the Marketplace bus stop to see where the food locations were. Chris kind of wanted to sit down and eat but I wasn't sure there would even be room for us at any TS restaurant because we didn't have ressies. So after a little walking and talking we decided to eat here...

064.jpg

I had heard sooo many good things about EoS here on the Dis and on allears.net that I knew this was going to be a good choice. The line was a little long inside but it was moving quickly. As I'm reading my trip journal right now I'm realizing I didn't write down what we ate! I do have pictures of it though sooo I think I got the Earl's Club or something like that (turkey, bacon, tomato, some kind of mayo I think) and Chris got something with Roast Beef and melted cheese. We got some macaroni salad to share but I couldn't get a good picture of it for some reason. Here they are anyway

So I had Chris wait for our number to be called to pick up our food while I went and tried to stake out a table for us. We wanted to sit outside but no luck out there. As I walked back inside 3 people at a booth were just getting up so I jumped on that table! Chris found me and yummmm the food was good!! Chris and I were both veryyy pleased with our sandwiches and loved the bread here. We would definitely eat here again.

So after our belly's were full we headed out to do some shopping in the Marketplace. Our first stop according to my pictures was the Christmas shop! Oh how I love it in there! Christmas and Disney are on my list of top favorite things in life so mixing them together, well it cant get much better. I knew I wanted to get us an ornament to hang on the Christmas tree this year but I needed to pick which one I wanted and there were soooo many to choose from! Here's the shopping pictures I promised I had more of.

Nemo!

I was a ballerina from age 4 to 15 and still danced kickline throughout high school after I quick regular dance so this is special to me. Plus, I have a ballerina Minnie on my dresser at home almost the same as this one.

I really wanted this!

Chris really likes Jack

Awwww

Which one did I get? You'll have to wait until the end of the TR when I post all my souvenirs! (aka I didn't take a picture of it yet and don't feel like getting up and taking one! LOL)

According to my pictures we then headed over to Once Upon a Toy. I'm almost 22 years old and seriously, I had to try really hard to have self control in this store. I could have gotten so many things specifically the Disney Monopoly that I must have looked at 10 times wishing the price would be lower.

I'm sure Tammy's (onetreehilladdict's) baby DS has seen this before and I believe he might even have it but I took this picture of the monorail set for him

We ended up getting Chris's niece the cutest Winnie the Pooh stuffed animal in here. Its like a baby Pooh and its wrapped in a little blanket that velcros in the front that comes off. I didn't take a picture of it and we already gave it to her so I probably wont be able to. Anyway she loves it and tried to feed him spaghetti the other night and got him dirty. Grandpa (Chris's dad) had to clean Pooh up after that one LOL We kept on walking and went over to World of Disney. I've been in WoD before in DTD but I seriously didn't remember it being that huge. WOW. I was getting so overwhelmed inside there and I'm not even clostrophobic (sp?) at all.

It had been a longggg day so please excuse my appearance

We only walked around a little bit in there and just couldn't take the wall to wall people so we left. We knew there was no way we'd be able to concentrate enough to even think of something to buy although I did pick up a shot glass at one point that I wanted. I put it down though and we got out of there. In our Marketplace journeys we also went into Team Mickey but didn't get anything in there either. I really liked some of the Roxy stuff they had but it was just too expensive to get on my first night there. Chris found a nice Hurley shirt too but again, too expensive to buy so early in the trip. We kept walking some more and went down into the Lego store. I thought this was too cute to not get a picture of

We kept on walking and got to Pleasure Island. It was really sad to see all the clubs boarded up and dark. For anyone who read my PTR, this trip was actually supposed to take place in Aug/Sept 2008 but Chris got a good job offer that July and his training overlapped with the trip so we had to postpone it. When planning the trip for Aug/Sept I added the water park and more option to our tickets so we could do not only the water parks but the Pleasure Island clubs. Right after our trip date got moved I found out they were closing all the PI clubs. We were pretty bummed out because we wanted to try them at least. This guy was hanging out in PI

Its crazy what all the people on stilts in WDW can do. I would totally be on my butt if I did half the stuff they do. There was a little show going on with the stilts guy and another guy was on the mic. They were playing music and picking random people who were walking by to join in. Luckily we didn't get picked. They had all the people introduce themselves and where they were from and were dancing to "we are family". It was cute and Chris was really entertained for some reason. He kept insisting we stay there longer and watch when I really was tired and wanted to keep walking! LOL So we watched some more and were on our way. We made it over to the West Side and saw this

092.jpg

093.jpg

I kinda wanted to try this out and I had mentioned it to Chris before we left. It was something I would have liked to try but I wasn't dying to do it either. Well we walked right past it and Chris didn't say anything so we just kept going. No biggie, we'll try it another time (maybe November!!!!) Here's someplace we'd be headed later in the week

094.jpg

So as we got down to DQ we could hear some live music. Chris has this thing with live music--he loves it! It was a guy and a girl at the House of Blues little outdoor area they have covering some songs. There were little tables and chairs set up and there were about 20 or so people sitting there watching so we each grabbed a Bud Light at the bar and sat down to listen. Normally I'm not a beer drinker but for some reason the ice cold beer mixed with the warm weather and live music made it taste reeeeally good that night! We sat and listened for a while and they covered "Ironic" by Alanis Morrisette and "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" by....idk and a couple of others. Let me tell you both the guy and the girl were REALLY GOOD!! Their Devil Went Down to Georgia rendition was EXCELLENT and everyone was getting really into it. Chris was in his glory!! But I was really starting to get tired at this point so we listened to one more song and left. There was a tip bucket at the front of the stage so as I walked away I threw a few bucks in there. They really deserved it!

So we started to make the longggg walk (seems extra long when you're that tired) back to the Marketplace because we had one more place we needed to stop before heading back to ASMo. Can anybody guess where it is? :confused3 I'll finish up day one tomorrow (I'm sure I'll need a study break, right?) and answer that question then! Have a great weekend everyone!

Fun update!!! We ate breakfast at Earl of Sandwich -- I would love to try their regular sandwiches at some point! Love all the shopping pics, and I must say that sitting outside listening to live music sounds like such a wonderful way to spend the evening!

Good luck on your exams Monday!

I am so glad that you got to eat at Earl of Sandwich. The Earl's Club is my favorite sandwich! I'm drooling over your picture and dreaming of July when I finally get to eat there again.

i love DTD.....so many things to see and shopping to be done! i didn't ever think i was gonna get ray out of that lego store!

Bad shot but here's Saratoga Springs across the way

oh, how i miss that place. i just loved it there. i bet one of those is our room. we were on the bottom floor and you could see fulton's and the lego lochness monster across the water from our room.

We made it over to the West Side and saw this

092.jpg

i can't wait to try this!

Yay!! Great update! Sounds like a fabulous first night, such nice relaxing time. The Earl of Sandwich looks great. Can't wait for more...

and as for my guess...does it have anything to do with a tall silly character and lots of chocolate??? :goofy:

Great update.
I love the picture of you with Buzz and the mom is in the background pulling her kid away. LOL!

Ok I'm Karen:hippie: and I'm finally here and caught up,jumped over from onetreehill TR
I had to laugh at the back of chris' head - because my DH has been watching me on the DISBoard and has already stated "Are we gonna be doing all that picture and writing stuff or are we gonna enjoy ourselves?" :rotfl2:
He's already made me promise I can't be photgraphing everything. Good thing I'm arming the kids with cameras too:lmao:
I'm already wound up too tight and we're not even there yet:rotfl: - still have 62 days to go.
And where the heck is this fabulous mexican lasagna recipe everyone was talking about?
Enjoying the report - thanks for having me.:flower3:

Great update! I love Downtown Disney. The Earl of Sandwich pics have my mouth watering! I love the club sandwich. I just wish they served fries too... that would make it perfect! :thumbsup2 I'm also a big sucker for the Christmas and toy stores. :upsidedow

Did you happen to notice how much the balloon ride is? It looks pretty cool but I wonder if I'd be afraid. I can only imagine the awesome pics you'd get!

I'm guessing that your last mystery stop before you sleep has something to do with your MIA fridge... :confused3

Good luck on your finals!! :flower3:

Great update! You are not kidding when you said you took a lot of pictures...I love it! :thumbsup2
