Our Anniversary Week at the Happiest Place on Earth!! TR DONE 8/30 SOUVENIR POST SOON

The caricature is GREAT! :thumbsup2

It's awesome that the guy was a good artist AND super funny!

I can't believe it took so long to get back to your resort! Annoying!

Signing on for your TR. You guys are a very sweet couple!

After the 6 mile walk from the terminal to the ME counter (with my carry on bag that weighed 900lbs) we saw this

028-1.jpg

The line was ridiculously long! I hoped in my head this would not be a sign of things to come because Chris was already complaining! Actually the line moved really quickly though because they had a lot of CMs working.

029-1.jpg

I have ALWAYS wondered if those lines really ever filled up all the way! Ouch! How were the lines to the busses?

i want to go to IOA one day. i've been to universal and it was okay but mostly not something i'd do again. but i've never done IOA. and i LOVE rollercoasters! we live about an hour from six flags over georgia and there's some awesome roller coasters there but it's always so CROWDED and HOT and dirty and the customer service there is horrible - everyone has an attitude! so we don't go too often. we'll definitely have to go see the harry potter stuff when it opens - ray's nephew LOVES harry potter and he's already said something about it.

Six Flags is awful!!! The employees are rude because they don't hire the nice ones like they used too....I would be one of those ex-employees!!:rotfl2:

I forgot to mention this in my little blurb before the update earlier. Yesterday I went and got some pink hair extensions. I saw a lady from the IT department at work with them and decided I wanted them asap. Then I was talking to Nicole and she reminded me that her hair salon was doing them and all the proceeds were going to a little girl with leukemia. One of the stylists at the salon's 2 1/2 year old daughter was diagnosed at the beginning of the year with stage four cancer. Well the salon was charging $10 a strand with all the money going to the little girl. Then I really knew I couldn't pass up getting the extensions so after my test yesterday I went home, showered and headed to the salon. Here's how they came out. It took like 5 minutes to get 2 strands on each side. I got light pink and hot pink.

OH MY GOSH!! I love the extensions!!!! I am wanting to get some pink strands in my hair in October for breast cancer! I don't want them on top, just underneath where they can peak out!!

I love, love, love the caricature!!!

Love the IOA update! I am really excited about the Harry Potter park opening!

The caricature turned out really cute!

Can't wait to hear about Blizzard Beach and Disney Quest (we've never been to DQ before).

Of course the mini-totem pole is always a thought...
072-1.jpg

I love it!! Then you have to go into the Mercantile to pay for it. So I handed the guy my debit card to use as a credit card and its not signed on the back so he asked for my ID. His nametag said he was in the college program so I asked him a few questions and I showed him my driver's license. He looks at it and automatically goes "so where are you from in NY, Staten Island or Long Island?" I was like :confused3 I asked him how he knew where I was from and he was like "obviously from your accent." He was from Queens and recognized it immediately. I really never realize how strong my Long Island accent is until I'm away from LI! Most of you have never heard me talk before but I love when others post videos so I can hear their accents, especially you Southerners! Southern accents are so cute! So I paid, went out and tipped the artist and Chris and I decided it was time to head back to ASMo.

Next up:: Blizzard Beach and DisneyQuest!! :yay:

I have the mini totem pole. It is on a hutch in my hallway, and it brings me Disney happiness often. :)

About the ax-ee-unt. Yew shorely couldn't be tawkin' 'bout Brooklynn and her southern drawl in some of those aforementioned videos, could yew????

That girl gives so many words extra syllables with her accent. For instance, it's not 'I am', it's 'I aaa-yum'.
She is kuntreeee! :)

I love the caricature it is really good. I can't wait to see and hear about Blizzard Beach. We have 2 more weeks and we will be floating in the lazy river:cool1:.

Joining in! Great TR! I love your animal pics in AK. Grats on going back in November at AKL. I know want ya mean about renting points. It's the only way we can afford a deluxe resort. :thumbsup2 Cute hair extensions. :cutie: I wonder if that Disney tattoo guy you saw was George Reiger?

The caricature turned out so flippin' adorable!!! What a great job the artist did!

Supposedly, I don't have a southern accent (so said a guy from New Jersey that talked to me at AKL) -- I will need to work on that.

I love the drawing! It's so cute. That should be your avatar, :goodvibes! I think you guys are regreeting not getting the plan....am I right? I love the WL totem pole stuff. I wanted to buy the frame last time and forgot all about it. :headache:

I love it when you come back from a day and don't toss and turn. You kind of just pass out from the exhaustion!

That caricature is adorable! He did a great job!

Can't wait to see the Blizzard Beach pics...we had a blast there! :thumbsup2

LOVE the drawing! so great that you guys had an entertaining artist to talk to while he drew your picture. :thumbsup2

i have to share this because your story reminded me of what happened to us with a drawing in savannah. i don't know if you've ever been to savannah but there's a street that runs along the river called river street and it's sort of where everyone gathers, especially at night. we were there in july of 2002 (i remember because it was like 3 months after we got married) with 2 of my girlfriends. there's a big art school in savannah so there's always a lot of artists sitting on river street and drawing people's portraits for like $30. well, ray and i decided to have our picture drawn by one of them. so while we were doing that, my friends erin and annie (if you read my september 2007 TR you know erin) decided to go walk around. here's how ours turned out:

DSC02759.jpg

it's okay except that ray and i have huge foreheads and i have ginormous lips. i don't know why he wrote "savannah honeymoon." maybe because we told him we were newlyweds and he got confused?

anyway, so we meet back up with erin and annie a little later on and we show them our picture. erin goes, "oh, that's good. how much did you pay?" we told her (i think it was something like $30) and then she goes, "look what i got for $10!!!!!!" then she pulls out this wrinkled up piece of paper and there's a drawing of what looks to be an old lady with curly hair and glasses and it's done with a blue bic pen!!!!! annie said what she thought was a homeless lady asked if she could draw erin's picture for $10 and that's what she gave her. :rotfl2: it was hilarious!

I love yall's caricature - I've always wanted one of those done of my family but then I don't know what I'd do with it when I get home.

Punkin:The reason why your forehead is huge is that the proportions are a bit off. The hair is too high :)

Not bad for a student though.

Aw that drawing is so cute of you guys! :cutie:

Oh so sad about the car accident! :guilty:

Thanks, I really love it too! The car accident was definitely sad, i think the person was okay though.

I always forget about my accent until I'm not in the south and then people just ask me to talk so they can hear it. I'm wondering if Brooklynn will sit still long enough to have a caricature done this summer.

Same with me! I'll take a video and post it on here at one point and see what you guys think about my accent LOL Southern accents are so cute, I would totally make you talk so I could hear it!

The caricature would probably only take 20 mins to do just Brooklynn and the artists don't need you to be perfectly still or anything like that so I think she could definitely handle it!

The caricature is GREAT! :thumbsup2

It's awesome that the guy was a good artist AND super funny!

I can't believe it took so long to get back to your resort! Annoying!

Thanks girl! The artist was definitely entertaining and helped passed the time while we were being drawn. It took FOREVER for us to get back to ASMo that night and we were soooo tired and sunburnt, it was a pain!!

Signing on for your TR. You guys are a very sweet couple!

I have ALWAYS wondered if those lines really ever filled up all the way! Ouch! How were the lines to the busses?

:welcome: thanks for joining in and for the compliment!

The ME line was crazy and the lines for the busses were packed too but we waited a total of maybe a little more than a half hour to get through the ME line and get on a bus so it ended up looking worse than it actually was.

Six Flags is awful!!! The employees are rude because they don't hire the nice ones like they used too....I would be one of those ex-employees!!:rotfl2:

OH MY GOSH!! I love the extensions!!!! I am wanting to get some pink strands in my hair in October for breast cancer! I don't want them on top, just underneath where they can peak out!!

I love, love, love the caricature!!!

Love the IOA update! I am really excited about the Harry Potter park opening!

The 6 flags in NJ is terrible too. No service and the customers at the park are even worse!!

Glad you like the extensions, thanks! I was going to get them back in October for breast cancer too at a salon around by me but then I didn't have the money at the time because they were something like $20 a strand. These were only $10 each.

I think you guys will love the HP part of IOA!

The caricature turned out really cute!

Can't wait to hear about Blizzard Beach and Disney Quest (we've never been to DQ before).

Thanks Sarah! DQ was pretty cool, you guys should try it out. Look out for an update with it this weekend.

I have the mini totem pole. It is on a hutch in my hallway, and it brings me Disney happiness often. :)

She is kuntreeee! :)

I actually knew you had that totem pole MeMom from one of your other TRs! It's so cute I would like it to be sitting on my hutch as well.

Brooklynn's accent is absolutely adorableeee! I was trying to find a good video of it on your TR last night to show Chris but since you TR is mega popular I couldn't find one where she talked! She definitely is a country girl!

I love the caricature it is really good. I can't wait to see and hear about Blizzard Beach. We have 2 more weeks and we will be floating in the lazy river:cool1:.

OMG so lucky that you'll be in the lazy river so soon!!

Joining in!

:welcome: thanks for joining in!! Glad you enjoying it so far. Renting the points is definitely the only way we could stay at a deluxe at this point. I priced the same nights at Pop in a standard room and it was only $100 less! So we're definitely making out in this deal. Who is George Reiger?

The caricature turned out so flippin' adorable!!! What a great job the artist did!

Supposedly, I don't have a southern accent (so said a guy from New Jersey that talked to me at AKL) -- I will need to work on that.

Thanks CP! Glad you liked the drawing.

Get going on that Southern accent, I love them! As long as I can understand you that is LOL

Love the caricature it's cute! :thumbsup2

Thanks Colleen!

Thanks Tammy! I don't want to give away our feelings on not getting the plan just yet. It will become pretty apparent over the next few posts though. The WL totem pole stuff was so cute, I wish I could have gotten something. Oh well, another thing to add to the Nov/Dec must get list LOL

btw I've been neglecting your reports big time, don't think I disappeared! I've been so busy (Chris has been building a new motor for his car because he blew his up :headache: so i've been driving him everywhere and it stinks. he finally finished today though!!) but i'll be over there soon to catch up and comment :thumbsup2

I love it when you come back from a day and don't toss and turn. You kind of just pass out from the exhaustion!

Yesss, that was the best. Especially because the beds weren't exactly as comfortable as my lovely bed at home, it was nice to just pass right out!

That caricature is adorable! He did a great job!

Can't wait to see the Blizzard Beach pics...we had a blast there! :thumbsup2

Thanks, the artist was definitely really good!! We really enjoyed BB! I wish I would have not had to use the waterproof camera but i didn't want to risk ruining my regular one!

LOVE the drawing! so great that you guys had an entertaining artist to talk to while he drew your picture. :thumbsup2

Thanks Dawn! It was nice to be able to laugh and pass the time while the guy was drawing because we were so tired and just wanted to go to sleep!

Your drawing came out good, its more serious than ours though!! You can tell the art student was trying really hard to do a good job. Thanks weird that they put Savannah honeymoon on it though, I was wondering about that LOL I can't believe erin pulled out the $10 homeless drawing :lmao: thats hilarious!!

I love yall's caricature - I've always wanted one of those done of my family but then I don't know what I'd do with it when I get home.

Buy a frame for it! I still need to do that and we got it done 2 months ago now LOL

I have been enjoying your report. I am looking forward to more.

Thanks!! Stay tuned for more!

:jumping1: Just added another day at POP:jumping1:

 Yayyyy!!!!! When are you going?

The caricature came out so cute!!! I love it :thumbsup2

Thanks Melissa!!
