Our Anniversary Week at the Happiest Place on Earth!! TR DONE 8/30 SOUVENIR POST SOON

Thanks to everyone who posted this time around! Since this is my first TR I am nervous that its boring or people aren't interested so when I got like 1 post for an update I was just hoping it wasn't because I sucked at writing it! I know everyone's busy so thanks for sticking around :goodvibes

Great update. So it sounds like Universal/IOA doesn't allow you to take any bags on the rides. That kind of sucks. I wouldn't want to be paying 3 bucks every tim to retrive my camera and purse/bag.

Thankss!! Yeah, it was pretty annoying that we couldn't bring the bags on any rides. I mean obviously the water rides we would have wanted to leave them in a locker anyway but other than that they should have another option. If the lines are long you could end up dropping alot of money on your locker fees!

Why'd you leave IOA so early? I would have stayed late...of course your tummy felt bad so I get it. Can't wait for the WCC update!

Yeah, my stomach was bothering me plus we couldn't really think of anything we were dying to ride. Since there were no lines we flew through a lot of rides quickly. WCC will be soon!

Hello

I just found your TR and I'm absolutley LOVING it! I'm only on page 9, so I have some catching up to do, but I wanted to add a few comments before I moved on.

First of all I LOVE all your pictures, you and your BF make a cute couple. I'm glad you were able to make your photos a little larger, it really makes a difference......

The very 1st Disney Resort I stayed at was the ASMO back in 1999, so I'm really enjoying all the pictures you took there. Brings back a LOT of wonderful memories.

I just got done reading your post about your dinner at Earl of Sandwich, and the pictures are KILLING me. I love myself a good sandwich, but I'm currently 3 1/2 months pregnant and I'm not allowed to eat any kind of Cold Cut sandwich throughout my entire pregnancy, so of course I'm craving it like crazy. Your pictures are making me salivate.... Right after I deliver the baby I'm making my husband rush to Qizznos or Subway.

Well, I'm going to continue on with your report. I'm excited to read the rest. Thanks so much for sharing, your getting me super excited for our next trip. :thumbsup2

:welcome: heyy thanks for joining in!! Congratulations on your pregnancy even though that stinks that you can't have cold cuts! I loveee me some ham and cheese or bologna haha Of course, it will be worth it in the end though. I would say an after delivery run to Quizno's will definitely be in order!

Thanks for the compliments about Chris and I, I agree we're a good match  LOL Glad you're enjoying so far and hope you stick around for the rest of the ride!

Hi Kristen!
I started reading your TR today and have really enjoyed it. You looked like you were having a great time! It's really great to go with your Sig-O (significant other). I went with mine last August and am going again this August (10 weeks baby!). I'm a teacher also and wish you belated congratulations on your finishing of the semester and on your grades!
I look forward to hearing more about your trip!

P.S.- I love the tattoo Chris got. My mother suffered a severe heart attack this past fall, and she was lucky enough to survive, but for a few hours there, I thought I might be in a much more devastating position. What a wonderful way to keep his mother's memory alive! It's very sweet.

:welcome: heyyy thanks for coming over! We definitely had an amazing time so I'm really enjoying sharing it with everyone here on the Dis. I loved being there with Chris and getting to show him everything Disney has to offer. So cool you get to go back in 10 weeks!!!

Thanks for the congrats about my grades and stuff. I have my 2nd teacher certification test tomorrow so wish me luck!

Also, thanks for the compliments on Chris's tattoo. So glad to hear that your mother pulled through. He's been wanting a tattoo for his mom for a while and he's really happy with what the artist did for him in her memory.

I'm still here! I think my PTR is losing readers too. :rotfl::confused3 Anyways...the Dueling Dragons look cool! That was another one I was too chicken to do when we went to IOA. I might have to try that one next time we go there.

Thanks Sarah! I'm still reading yours too! August is approaching rapidly!

DD was reeeeally cool. Suck it up and try it next time, you'll love it

I'm sorry if you think we are leaving :confused3. We are still around just waiting to see and hear more:goodvibes

Thanks so much, I appreciate it and I hope everyone's enjoying!!

Thank you :) Nope, no high blood presure. Just have to avoid foods that are high risk for listeria. Which includes deli meats. :(

Although, sometimes I feel like my blood pressure sky rockets a million times a day. My first pregnancy I was happy allll the time, this pregnancy I'm a walking time bomb, anything and everything seems to set me off. :furious: My poor DD and DH. :confused3 I was told NO two pregnancies are the same and OHHHH Boy, am I believing it. :lmao:

Like i said, the no cold cuts thing it stinky. I've never been pregnant but I always say the best part will be getting to eat a lot and not care :rotfl: I guess thats not so true though! Hope everything goes along great!

I'm not sure if I've posted yet, but I've been reading along the whole time. I'm enjoying your report!

I don't think you've posted yet so :welcome: so glad you joined in!!

I'm still here! I just have not had as much time online lately because I leave in 2 DAYS for our trip. I have been so busy, but I have been trying to check in at night. My PTR is slowing down too. Maybe everyone is out enjoying the summer. :confused3

Dueling Dragons is the bomb. The first time we rode it, we got the front seat. I seriously thought we were going to crash during the loop part. I have to say that my favorite ride in that park is Spiderman. I wish you would have felt better when you went on it. I could ride that over & over again.

Thanks girl! Sooooooo cool (and jealous) that you leave in 2 days! AHh! Everyone probably is enjoying summer...unless they live on Long Island with me and have been enduring endless rain! Ughhhh!

Dueling Dragons is definitely on my list of top rollercoasters. Its so much fun! It totally looks like you're going to collide with the other side, its freaky! I wish I could have enjoyed Spiderman more too. I'll have to ride it again one day without eating nasty lunch before it!

We enjoyed tinkgurl's updates while you were down there.

Those Disney naps are some goooood naps!

I was going to ask if you ended up going to Whispering Canyon, but by the title of your next post, I got the answer. We're going to be eating there on August 1st. It is Trent's favorite place to eat, and he eats his money's worth!

We're still reading, but between summer school and VBS, this has been a busy week with not much Dis time.

I really appreciated tinkgurl updating for everyone while we were in WDW!! Thanks again girl!

We really needed those naps sometimes. Since we were trying to squeeze so much into 7 days, they really helped. We sure did eat at WCC. I remember reading in one of your old reports about your experience there so your report was part of the reason I wanted to try there! I'm glad you guys are enjoying your summer and can't wait to hear all about it and see more pictures of your beautiful girls :cutie:

my TRs are kinda quiet too. probably just people out enjoying their summer. they'll be back in the air conditioning in about a week!

i can't wait to try IOA someday. it will probably be awhile though since our next trip might be with a little one. i wouldn't want to ride all that stuff by myself.

so sorry you got sick! i hate that. but i'm the same way. i have a sensitive stomach and riding roller coasters doesn't help but i love them!

the locker thing would've gotten on my nerves. what a pain!

i don't know why but this picture cracks me up! :lmao:

Dawn, your TRs are never quiet! You have sooo many readers! You should definitely try IoA someday, although not your next trip since you'll probably have a wittle Ray or Dawn with you! Soon though!

Thank goodness I wasn't terribly sick, just not feeling great. It did put a damper on the rest of the time at IoA though which did stink. The lockers were totally annoying too.

I'm glad you like that picture, it is funny because Chris looks like a loser :rotfl:

As I have been reading peoples trip reports it seems like everyone has gotten a stomach ache one time or another on their trip! I have a sensitive stomach so I am worried about getting sick on my trip! Oh well you can't plan for that can you?

I agree, so many people at one point or another get a bit of the stomach ache thing on their trips. Probably because of all the crap people eat on vacation  It's not too bad as long as it doesn't last too long and ruin your trip!

How did I miss a whole page of your report. I had to go back and reread. Anyway. Great pics of IoA. Chris' Tat - awesome ink. Hpw sweet is that?
Can't wait to hear about WCC dinner. I wonder if it's too late for us to get a ressie there - we leave in 30 days. I guess it's worth a try.:confused3

LOL sorry that you missed a page! I tried to whiz through the IoA stuff. Thanks for the compliment on Chris's tattoo. We were really happy with out it turned out. We have a guy that does all our tattoos over here whose an amazinggggg artist.

WCC dinner will be updating soon about. Try for a ressie there! We liked it alot and got one the same day we wanted to eat there! It's worth a shot. Lemme know if you get it.

Woo, another mention of me! :woohoo: Hahaha.

Whoa, that Fearfall thing looks crazy!

Yummy! Churros! :)

That's too bad lunch was gross. :guilty:

Hey chick! You're going to be mentioned a good amount, you know that! haha

I'm home on lunch real quick from work but I gotta go back now :headache: I'll be around later to check your new question of the day!

The fearfall thing looked cool, sad we didn't get to ride it. Churros are so yummy and I really have a severa addiction to coke slurpees!

Lunch was very disappointing :(

Hey everyone! I'm leaving soon to go take my 2nd teaching certification exam, wish me luck! :thumbsup2

Good luck!!!! :cool1:

As for IOA...Dh wants to go there some year but I keep changing the subject. I told him about the Mears shuttles and now I made it worse ;)

I'm just a Disney girl but the roller coasters do look awesome!

I'm still here! :flower3: Just an uber-busy time at work that doesn't allow for much DIS'ing. :headache:

IOA looks fun - thanks for the virtual trip. I will probably go to see the Harry Potter area but otherwise being the chicken that I am the thrill rides don't really appeal to me.

Good luck on your exam!! :)

I'm back. Been terribly busy.

I love seeing all the stuff on IoA.

I went there in 2000.

So a long time ago.

Thats only with meats that sit out though. You can buy some and make sandwiches. Places like Subway are where you need to watch it more where the meat is sitting out like that.

I love the update. So do you get to chose a time for the bus to come get you? or do they just come that early for everyone. I would definatley want to stay longer than that...but if I remember right Universal closes kind of early anways, doe IOA cloe early too?

Good luck! I considered taking a test today but it's the day after the graduation for the 8th grade class at my school so I knew I'd be exhausted. I'll have to take it in July or something.

I found your TR and caught up. Even though it was IOA and not WDW, I still enjoyed reading. I think reading TRs that include IOA is a good reminder for me not to go because I could not handle any of those rides you went on! They're fun to read about though!

Stinks that the food made you feel sick. Boo. Looking forward to more!

Thanks!! You guys should give IoA a try although I personally think Universal is better. The Mears shuttle makes it a lot easier to get over there and it's not too expensive. If you like coasters, give it a try!

I hope you did well on your exam! :thumbsup2

Thanks Colleen!

;):hug:Good Luck on teaching certificate

Thank you! :)

Oh man I hope it slows down for you at work! IOA was pretty fun. The HP area seems like its going to be pretty cool but most of the rides there are thrill rides LOL And thank you!

I'm back. Been terribly busy.

So a long time ago.

Yes I saw on your TR all the things you had coming up, I hope everythings slowed down a bit for you now. IOA was pretty cool, you should go back one of these trips.

luck, smuck. you're a rock star and you'll do fine! :thumbsup2

:rotfl: thanks Dawn!! :thumbsup2

Awe.

Sad you didn't like spiderman.

I loved it.

It would have been way better if the nasty food wasn't in my stomach still. I would have enjoyed it then.

oooh ok, gotcha. You'll just have to have your DH get you some fresh cold cuts and make you lots of sandwiches that way :thumbsup2

Yes, you chose a time that you want the bus to come pick you up. We only left that early becasue I wasn't feeling well so there wasn't much more we could go on. Plus, we were nearly done anyway becasue we got through everything so fast. I think they're only open until 6ish, at least when we were there.

Good Luck!

Thanks girl!

Heyyy thanks for stopping by and joining in! Are you from NY? I don't blame you for not wanting to take the test the day after the graduation!

I'm glad my IOA day made you realize not to spend your money there since you won't go on the rollercoasters  Any way I can help LOL It was disappointing that the food was real bad but we had much better food that night. Stay tuned!

:goodvibesHow do you think ya did on the test girlie?

Hmmm it was hard. It was a content test, all on social studies since thats the subject I'm going to teach. The range of topics was so broad that some of my answers were total guesses. I haven't learned about the Middle East in the year 1500 since I was in 9th grade! (one of the questions was on that LOL) LUckily I knew the essay and did pretty well on that so hopefully I pulled out enough points to pass. Its a pass/fail test so as long as I make it over the threshold it doesn't matter by how much! :thumbsup2

I believe in you:)

Just read the rest of your IoA updates. I'm sorry that you felt sick after your gross lunch! That's hard to recover from. It stinks that you missed the rest of the rides you wanted to go on because of it!

I am sure WCC was much better!
