I have decided after reading the adorable Pre-Trip reports to write my own.
Am I lame because I find planning my vacation almost as fun and rewarding as going?
I’ll start by saying I am pretty new to the boards, I am not very familiar with the board lingo, but I have my handy cheat list.
First I will introduce you to my family:
I am Kellie, I am 26 and have 4 children. (who you will meet later)
I am a WAHM (work at home mom). I design websites for other WAHM’s. I enjoy staying home with my children, taking vacations, and planning (I like party planning, vacation planning, pretty much any kind of planning). I’d like to think that I am pretty organized and I think everything through. I eat, sleep, and dream what we are going to do next (would that be considered a problem) LOL!
Next is my DH:
Chuck who is turning 30 this year, he is a very hard worker and loves sports. He is the reason we can take these nice vacations. I love him very much! (did I mention he likes sports)
Meet my children:
Ashley:
I would compare her to Belle, she is cute and VERY smart. She is 10 (today actually)
Bryce:
He is my little cuddle bug, He enjoys playing with Lego’s and playing his Gameboy he also loves Starwars and Wrestling.
Logan:
He is ALL BOY! This child keeps me on my toes. The best way to describe logan is by telling you who his favorite character is, Curious George. Logan is a playfully mischievous little boy, he is into everything yet he loves to make people laugh!
Brooklynn:
She is your typical little princess, loves baby dolls, ballet, and dress up. Pretty much all things girls, she loves to help me cook and bake. She’s a good girl. Very patient! (kind of has to be, being she is #4)
We live in MD, but have family that lives in FL. On a spur of the moment, we decided to take our first trip to WDW last year. We always wanted to go, I went when I was 5, and Dh never went. DD #1 went in 2005 with my mom because we could not afford for everyone to go. My family was going to Fl for my uncles 50th birthday and everything just fell into place. I visited DIS and did a little planning, you would never believe it but we did all 4 main parks in 1 day with 17 people. Needless to say we only got a teaser of what each has to offer. (there was a reason for this chaos, he got FREE 1 day hopper passes) an offer to good to pass up. We also went to Typhoon Lagoon while on our trip.
So my husband told me that he wanted to take a week vacation for our anniversary, alone. He wanted to do something Caribbean I on the other hand did not want to leave all the kids for that long, I suggested maybe a nice dinner or a weekend alone, he came up with the idea of WDW for a long weekend I immediately agreed. We asked my mother to watch the kids Thursday through Monday and she agreed!
So here we are now, planning our 5th anniversary vacation!!
..... That's it for now, I have to get dinner started!! Thanks for reading this far, stay stuned for more.
