Our 5 day Dining Plan with photos!

He outgrew it between age 4 and 5 but we kept it out of him for another year before giving it to him. He eats them just fine now and loves them too!
They tell us that he will never outgrew his peanut or fish allergy according to the doctors.

Yes, we've been told the same regarding the peanuts and fish.

Promise to try and get to more this weekend! My son had a baseball game last night and I could not get online.

Our other meals reviews will be:
Chef Mickey's
1900 Park Fare
Liberty Tree Tavern
Garden Grill

DHS was ate at the Back Lot
Animal Kingdom we ate at Tamu Tamu Refreshments
Typhoon Lagoon Typhoon Tyllies
Epcot Sunshine Seasons
POFQ food court
I wish we had stayed longer this trip but we had to get back home to our annual family reunion.

I guess only 2 match yours. Our other meals are Teppan, Mama Rosa(FDP) and Boma.

Can't wait to hear the rest of your review! We are going on our first trip next May with my DS who is allergic to wheat, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, barley, rye, millet, flax, bananas, carrots, and pineapples. One of the main reasons wev'e chosen Disney is b/c we've heard great things about them accomadating food allergies. And who knows, maybe DS will outgrow an allergy or two before we get there (I can always dream, right?!! )!

Here are a few other photos that I forgot to add to the Whispering Canyon review:

Our unlimited milkshake....couldn't drink 2 for sure!

After our dinner we took the boat over to MK. People were already lined up for the 9pm parade and it was only 7pm! We were able to walk into Monsters Inc Laugh Factory and Buzz Lightyear. We did everything in Tomorrowland except for the one on top of the transit authority and space mountain. We stayed our first night for Wishes and here is my son waiting. He looks pretty tired.

Day 2 Tuesday, July 15th

DHS and Backlot Express for lunch and Chef Mickey's for dinner.

The day started off pretty early. Whoever had our room last left the alarm set for 6am and I couldn't figure out how to get it off in the dark. We were off to an early start! Since my mom was not up quite so early we had the time to walk around the resort and take some photos.

After a quick breakfast in the room we headed out for DHS! Here is my mom and dh....see the am crowd levels in the background.

We did the Great Movie Ride with about a 15 minute wait and then headed to the Muppets 3-D Movie...which was a walk in for us! We walked around for a bit and watched the Jedi Training Show while dh rode Star Tours. My son would not raise his hand to volunteer. There were very few kids there and almost every kid that raised his/her hand was chosen that particular show. It was about 11:30 and we went to the Back Lot to have lunch. Sorry for the half eaten burger but we forgot to get the shot in time!
My son's half eaten lunch:

After lunch we separated because my son did not want to ride the Backlot Tour...he is afraid of fire and also did not want to watch Lights Motor Action. I took him to the animation center and got some autographs and photos while dh and my mom rode the tour.

Did I mention that we ened up meeting up in the Honey I shrunk the Kids Playground right before the huge storm hit. We made it under cover where we sat for over 2 1/2 hours in the hard pouring thundering rain. One thunder cracked so hard that all the women around ducked and screamed! I think even some of the men ducked as well! My son is still talking about that thunder! We ended up purchasing umbrellas to get out. I was really bummed because we missed the 3pm parade. I'm not sure if they would have delayed it for the rain or just cancelled it completely. We ened up leaving for POFQ to get my son cleaned up---dried up for our dinner at Chef Mickeys! This was one of our favorites during our trip last August.

We did not purchase the photos but gave our camera to the photographer and he took a shot for us!

The chef made my son a small dish of broc due to his food allergies...no safe veggies on the buffet for him. Notice how small the small dish is!!!!!

I forgot to take photos of the desserts but I did get my son's dish. Remember he has milk/peanut allergy so everything on here is safe for him!

The final comment about our meal here had to do with the rain. The ceiling was leaking and who's eat did it choose? Mine and my sons! Boy did that water drip have some sting on it when it came from that high ceiling of the Contemporary! We were offered another seat but kinda ignored because there were no other seats. I ended up putting my chair on the end of the table and my son enjoyed the drips.
We also had an unlucky experience at the dessert buffet. My son came along with me for a look and as we were looking we accidently steped into someone's Mickey Oreo dessert and on the bottom of our shoes it certainly didn't look like chocolate! Luckily there was an employee nearby wiping down an area and she helped us get our shoes clean!

Day 3 Animal Kingdom Wednesday, July 16.

We saw 99 of these according to my son during our trip. Most of them were counted today on our Animal Kingdom day.

We met the trash can and it talked to us for quite a while. I was wearing HS Musical clothing and the can really must have enjoyed that show.

We got in line for The Bugs Life 3D Movie and after about a 15 minute wait we were all escorted out of line and told that there were difficulties and that the show was being shut down! We did have a fast pass for the Safari but decided to go to lunch first. Tamu Tamu Refreshments. We had the worst burger ever. I' m not sure if they were made seasoned for an African taste but they sure didn't taste like the normal Disney burger.

The milkshake was pretty good. My son's apples for his dessert.
DSC02813.jpg

After lunch we met Baloo and an Orange Monkey sorry I do not know his name since he gave no autograph and it was off to the Safari. After the Safari we went back to the 3-D movie and my son hated it. He screamed to get out and almost freaked out when the spiders came down from the ceiling. That was his last 3-D movie for this trip! We took the train to Rafiki and walked around for a short while then decided to go back to the hotel for a quick swim before dinner. It actually was not raining!

Time to get ready for our dinner at 1900 Park Fare. I'll work on this tomorrow since I need to get a boy off to bed soon!

Day 3 Continued
1900 Park Fare

We drove to the Grand Floridian and just barely made it to our ADR for 5:15pm. We took a wrong turn and got lost on the way!

OUr table was ready as soon as we arrived. No need for a buzzer! As soon as we sat down the server had the chef come to the table and he walked me through the buffet. Again no safe veggies so he brought him a bowl of corn. My son was able to have the chicken and the prime rib. There is a photo of his dish below. The strawberry soup was EXCELLENT! When I was with the chef at the buffet the Step Mother came to the table so I missed her attitude the first time around. The second time she came to our table she said that I was LATE! DS got a kick out of that and is still telling me that I am late! Desserts here were really good too! I loved the little chocolate moussse cups.

Outside the Grand Floridian

After our meal we took the Monorail to the MK and yes we asked permission if we could leave our car there and they said it would be fine. We were also told that at the Contemporary. We did valet parking and they said we could leave our car and go to MK.
Guess what? It was raining again at MK! We finally got my ds to ride the Haunted Mansion. He did not like the stretching room but he was fine with the rest of the ride.

Next day Typhoon Lagoon and Liberty Tree Tavern. My mom takes a 7 hour Behind the Scenes Tour of MK, AK, and DHS. When I get my photopass CD I'll add the remaining photos and all of our magic photos too! We did quite a few at TL before the rain at 2pm!

LOL - I was thinking "wow, that's an ugly princess" and then I realized it's the "ugly step-sisters".

Your son is so cute! I suspect he's going to be quite the charmer as he grows up.

Fun reviews - your son is really cute!

And as I was going through that last review I kept thinking ... sheeesh, who wants to be picked to play the ugly step-sister? :lmao:

Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much for the great reviews and the food allergy report. My DD4 has a horrible egg allergy (her Rast at age 2 was 68 and jumped to "over 100" at age 3...we'll see what happens this year). Your son being able to get a restaurant milkshake was so sweet. :goodvibes I found a vegan baker who was able to make a real, bakery style birthday cake (not homemade) for DD this year and that was probably the biggest thrill of her birthday.

I think most food allergy kids just want to conform to what all the other kids are doing and experiencing, and little things like the milkshake are just such a nice touch by Disney. As a parent, I feel so relaxed at Disney because I know that the chefs are giving me accurate information about ingredients and that they have alternatives for the kids to enjoy,

Subbing !! We want to try 1900 next year and I want to try WCC on one of my solo trips. Was Backlot a/c'd and was their plenty of tables ??We are going as a group next Sept. and I know a/c is a must to sit and eat!!

Thanks! He already is a hit with the girls and sometimes prefers to play with them too! He had a girl friend in first grade! Last year he didn't really talk much about the girls though. This year he goes to third grade already!

Thank you! He really did have a great time! I think we may have to make Disney our summer vac every year now! LOL on the ugly step sisters!

We found out that you still have to be very cautious and ask a ton of questions. Esp at a buffet. I worry about cross contamination as well. We did have a chef bring him the wrong bread but we caught it quickly. That is great about the cake! We can use Dunkin Hines that has no milk in the ingredients...yellow and chocoate are safe for him. He outgrew his egg allergy so he is fine with it now. He even loves to eat them!

Back lot was inside and had AC. If I remember right it was even a bit dark which made it seem cooler.
