Our 4th FP+ of the day...

Not sure if this has been mentioned here or not, but I was able to overlap FPs once one was used. We used our Mission Space at 9:50 am (9-10 am) then Test Track right at 10 am (10-11 am) and as soon as we were off, moved up our Spaceship Earth FP to 10:45am (currently had a 30 minute standby time,) technically overlapping our TT FP. We got off Spaceship Earth around 11:15 am, booked Maelstrom for 12:15 pm (Test Track and Soarin were both available, but not until 3 pm)

So you could really push the system to do multiple FPs within a short amount of time.

Thank you! This is exactly what I wanted to know!

One more thing I noticed, when we booked Maelstrom at the Kiosk and tried to change it on the app just to test it out, it would only swap it for another Tier 1 (TT, Soarin or Character Spot.)

Could you have changed the time on the app, if it was available? TIA :)

When you choose your ride at the kiosk does it let you pick whatever time you want? Or do you "get what you get and don't throw a fit". For example, I know you said previously that Soar in' and TT weren't available til 3. But if they had availability at 7, could you choose this? I know it goes against the grain to choose a later one but assuming that I was able to ride everything I wanted at RD and was using my 4th FP+ in Epcot for a reride on Soarin' and knew I wanted that reride in the evening.....does that work or do you take what they give ya and then change on app?

When you go to the kiosk, you tap your MB and a list of attractions comes on the screen. You scroll to the attraction you want, then you select it. It goes to a new screen with a list of available time slots, usually several throughout the day until park close. If none of the times work for you, there is a "back" button you can use to go back to the list of attractions. The kiosk does not force you into a particular time slot.

Geeeez so nice. Thanks for all the help.

Right. Tonight we made our 5th FP reservation for 8-9 pm, even though much earlier times were available, so we could see the 25th anniversary motorcade at 7pm, ride Tot on the FP, then watch the fireworks at 9:30pm.

I realize this is slow season but that is a massive improvement/convenience.

Hmmm, this sounds like a game changer to me, coupled with 4th FP booking. **Hi all, I'm a DL'er and have been following along all these crazy posts to prepare for the inevitable - plus pick up a few laughs and giggles along the way :)

Now if you can bump up the 2nd FP slot, you could really be golden. Ropedrop the Tier 1, immediately bump up your most popular Tier 2, after riding that bump up your last Tier 2 (which would be the less popular one), then pick up another Tier 1. Heck, if you get cell while waiting thru the Soarin' spiel (no reception there at DLR), you could move your 2nd FP before even riding (I think ?? since mickey's been scanned twice??) for immediate use (pending availability.) Even if you can't bump FP 2, this still changes the game (imo.) I think Pagas just broke the system :)

This is the best report of FP+ I have seen yet! Thank you so much!! Now I want to abandon my family and have an FP+ commando solo weekend. :rotfl:

Winner winner chicken dinner. I moved up buss while in line for space in Dec but wasn't sure if they still allowed it. Very thankful for Pagas checking it out!

Not a knock on the OP, very glad she was able to do what she did. However, doesn't the above give one pause that super users are going to be able to take advantage of this system far more than they could under the old system? For those that think this new system levels the playing field, I would think that the above explanation should disabuse that notion.

No kidding-I would go today just to check this thing out if I could-curse you Shaden. :rotfl:

Just the fact that everyone can make 3 FP+ reservations in advance goes a long way toward creating a more level distribution of FPs.

If the super users do have an advantage, they will be getting an advantage over a much smaller piece of the pie than they used to have.

Not to mention that we don't know how some of these things will work as the system continues to evolve.

It's almost as if the system was actually designed to let guests use it to suit their individual preferences while giving Disney some ability to manage inventory for the mass of guests.

;)

does anybody know.... do you have to USE all three of your fp before you can book the 4th (what if you don't make one or skip one) can you book a 4th as soon as the 3rd ones time expires even if you only used 2 of the fp you booked earlier that day?

I believe someone posted that you can get a 4th after your third expires even if not used.
