Our 2nd Shot at the Dream Team -TONS OF PICS. 10/28 New PTR LINK

I have been enjoying your report - I thought the parade pics were cute! Also, your report has me missing AKL as we have not stayed there since 2006. Our family really enjoyed our couple of stays there - hanging out in the lobby just to relax, pool & drinks, Boma and of course the Savannah :thumbsup2 Oh, no I may have to look into a couple of nights for our upcomig July trip!

Congrats on opening MK as well. What a wonderful experience! I look forward to reading the rest of your report.

Sounds like the day continues to be a great one! DH loved the Columbia House... that same salad I believe. Sorry your report is coming to an end, I have really enjoyed it! Your boys are too cute!

Your boys are adorable and what a LUCKY family you all are! I can't even put into words how amazing that is for you all to get those 2 dream team FP in the same day, the lanyard and then BE THE FAMILY OF THE DAY!!! Your family is like a disney rock star!! :)
Can't wait to read more!

It was getting close to our ADR time for Ohana so we decided to head over to the Poly and said we finish up any other things we wanted to do later that night including Wishes! Or would we?????

Up Next Ohana!

Well you do know how to keep the suspense in it don't you??
I'm loving it... Looking of you wrote is one of the first thinks I do every morning. That is the best time because of the time difference

Great update and pics! What a great day in MK. Love Columbia Harbour House :thumbsup2 . We tried COP in March, once was enough :) though I enjoy annoying my family with the song. Waiting to hear about 'Ohana, which is one of our favorites along with Le Cellier and Coral reef.

I am not a teacup girl, either. I don't do spinny. ;)

Okay, you can tell Matthew for me that I rode with Flashy McFlasherson last time. The guy who took 4 pictures of each scene WITH flash and then would take a picture of his little girl's reaction who was sitting directly in front of me. If I couldn't get that guy kicked out, no way were you getting kicked out for one measly picture! :lmao:

One of my favorite counter services! You didn't have the hummus sandwich? Because it ROCKS. Although I can totally understand the need for feta. ;)

Oh, sure. Because that never gets old. :lmao:

If loving the Carousel of Progress makes you a dork, then I don't wanna be cool. :thumbsup2 I love that place.

That IS sad. Even the robot looks sad.

Great installments! And the parade pictures look great. I was actually waiting to hear that you were made the Grand Marshalls. You were having that kind of lucky day! :lmao:

:rotfl2: Thanks Amy! Nope no Grand Marshall's!:goodvibes

Great parade pics!!! Sorry TTA wasn't open... it's one of my last day faves too...

Thanks Tanya, we were bummed about TTA!:thumbsup2

Thanks Andrea! I will update again on Monday!:thumbsup2

I keep checking but no update yet. Your killing me. LOL

Sorry Jeanine! I updated yesterday but today is super busy. We had a yard sale before the TORRENTIAL RAIN and now I have my niece and nephews here overnight! 5 kids under the age of 8:scared1: I will update probably on Monday!:thumbsup2

Great update, a day without a plan:rotfl: :confused3 :rotfl2: sure seems to have turned out awesome! I told Luke that if we were selected for a big dream like park opening, etc. they'd have to pick me up off of the floor, I'd pretty much be useless the rest of the day.
Can't believe your TR is coming to an end. What a magical trip it has been!!!! Can't wait to experience our own magic (8 more days)
Anxiously awaiting morepopcorn::

What an amazing trip (and trip report). We've been to WDW 4 times during the YOMD (Aug 06-Apr 08) and never once won a "dream"-I'm sure I'm not alone here- but that last one is amazing!

I had a lot of catching up to do!

That’s wonderful that you opened the park! :yay:
What a magical experience!
What great memories of meeting all those characters and hanging out with Mickey on the train. :goodvibes

That’s so great the boys both got picked for Jedi Training!
Cool that you were in the Indiana Jones show.

Too cute about the Mahi Mahi.

Thanks Lesley! It was funny, once we opened the park and realized we still had a day to spend in the park we just sort of all looked at each other like DUH what do we do now!:rotfl2: I know 2 more installments and I'll be all done!:worried: Your trip is SOOO close!:thumbsup2

Have a good weekend.

Thanks Jeanine! I hope you had a good one too!

Hi Kathleen! Glad you got all caught up!:thumbsup2 I'm almost done with this trippie:(

Ohana

So we left off with the parade ending. I wasn't feeling terrific and looked down at my arms and noticed a rash on my forearms. So we went to the first aid in the front of the park. The nurses were very nice and said it was probably a reaction to my sunblock that was exaserbated(sp.) by the heat and sun. Since I had used the same sunblock the whole trip I really think it was more sun related than reaction related. Anyhoo, she told me to wash it with cold water and not to expose my arms to the sun. Ummm OK! Glad it's my last full day. So we decide to head over to the Poly. We took the monorail. We tried for the front of the monorail but it was full. Our ADR was for 5pm and we arrived around 4:15 sooooo we went to the..

IMG_3221.jpg

we decided to just sit and relax, get drinks and soak up that wonderful Poly atmosphere!

IMG_3222.jpg

we took some pictures of the boys....

IMG_3216.jpg

this picture cracks me up, can you see Matthew yawning in the background?

IMG_3220.jpg

Before we knew it, it was time for..................

IMG_3215.jpg

We were really looking forward to this meal, we had never been here before. Cousin Autumn took us to our table and cousin Cliff was our server.

first came the salad...

IMG_3228.jpg

it was delicious, I LOVED the honey lime dressing! Iwas nervous about the boys and what they would eat but cousin Cliff told me they could order something else so, they ordered cheeseburgers and fries.

we then received some bread, this was AWESOME!

IMG_3233.jpg

I don't remember the order but we got these YUMMY wings...

IMG_3225.jpg

wontons, which were my FAVORITE.....

IMG_3226.jpg

The boys got to go up and get lei's and shake marraca's. The woman that led the kids was wonderful!

IMG_3236.jpg

Bryan anxiously awaiting the next course...

IMG_3223.jpg

Eric with his drink and umbrellas that cousin Cliff gave him!

IMG_3239.jpg

Next up was Udon noodles and broccoli. Both were yummy but we didn't fill up on them too much because we wanted to save room for the meat and dessert.

IMG_3232.jpg

The boys went up next to do coconut races and this was hysterical. They have to hit the coconuts with little brooms and of course my boys were trying to BEAT each other..........

IMG_3244.jpg

IMG_3245.jpg

IMG_3248.jpg

Next up were the sauces and the meats!

IMG_3227.jpg

IMG_3234.jpg

there was turkey, beef, pork and shrimp. Bryan and I both LOVED the turkey. The beef was a little dry. Bryan liked the shrimp too but it was spicy. The pork was really good too. Overall it was a GREAT meal and cousin Cliff was VERY attentive.

The best part was dessert...Bread pudding with bananas foster, WOW was this AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IMG_3242.jpg

We LOVED Ohana and will definitely be back! After dinner I was beat. I looked at Bryan and said "I don't think I can "hang" anymore". Bryan then said to the boys, "Do you want to go back to the hotel and swim instead of going back to the MK?" Surprisingly they said yes! I felt guilty because I REALLY wanted to see Wishes but I was sooooooooooooooo tired and knew I had to pack........

We left the Poly via monorail and I had collected about 6 sets of fastpasses that we weren't going to use so I looked for a family to give them to. I gave them to a young couple instead so now they had 2 fastpasses for 6 attractions. They were sooooooooooo thankful! We got off the monorail at the MK and went to the AKL bus stop. We start heading in that direction and realize there is already an AKL bus there waiting so we go running over. I was pushing the stroller and Bryan had the boys. I quickly gave him the bag and stuff from the stroller and they board the bus. I TRY to fold the stroller and I cannot get it to collapse? No joke about 2 minutes go by and I CANNOT fold the stroller. I look up and the bus driver and all the passengers are staring at me. I KEEP trying to fold it and I can't NOR can I figure out why. All this time I'm thinking "Where the heck is Bryan and why is he NOT coming to help me?" Finally, a very handsome young man comes off the bus and says " I don't have kids and I've never folded a stroller but can I help you?" Well now I'm sweating bullets and totally embarrased not to mention my rash all over my arms! Finally the bus driver says "Oh come on, just bring it on the bus like that!" The young guy that was helping me looks at my sweaty, rashy self and says sorry. I am all oh thank you so much for trying then I say really loud SINCE MY HUSBAND IS M-I-A! Well the whole bus starts laughing and Bryan looks at me like THANKS ALOT! The man sitiing next to him says "sorry" Well don't you no a stinkin water bottle was caught under the stroller in the basket and I couldn't see it!!! Then it was 1-2-3 and the stroller closed and the bus started clapping! Talk about embarrassing! YIKES!

continued, too many pics..........................

Ohana's looks so yummy and fun! The stroller story was funny. Why did Bryan say he didn't come help? Hope the rash gets better soon!

Sooooooooooooo after the bus fiasco we arrived at the AKL and went up to our room, only to find this devastating site......

IMG_3254.jpg

I was so sad to see that! The boys quickly got changed and headed down to the
pool.

IMG_3255.jpg

The boys were really enjoying their evening of swimming.

We took a walk over to the savannah overlook too...

IMG_3263.jpg

IMG_3272.jpg

I hope you can see the 2 month old baby giraffe, it was her 1st day on the savannah!

IMG_3269.jpg

After about 2 hours we headed upstairs to shower and pack:( Our wake up call was a terribly early 5:45AM!

We were all SOOOOOOO emotional this night. None of us were even close to being ready to leave!

coming up next our departure day and final thoughts!!!!!!!!!!

I think evening swimming is so much fun. I love being by a pool as the sun goes down.

Giraffes are my favorite! :thumbsup2
