So this is it the big reveal. I still can't believe we managed to keep it a secret. I went to bed last night so stressed about how the kids would react:sad2: Here are a few pics. of how the set up looked last night after their baskets were put together by the Easter bunny:rolleyes1

Matthew's basket...

Eric's basket...

I finally drift off to sleep and wake up to footsteps coming down the hallway:scared1: I jumped out of bed like a flash and screamed "GET BACK IN YOUR ROOM" Well I scared the heck out of poor Matthew:rotfl2: I then went to their room and told them that the Easter Bunny left them a VERY SPECIAL SURPRISE and that the had to cover their eyes and I would guide them out into the kitchen where there baskets were. SO I guide them down the hallway to the kitchen and turn them around facing the opposite direction of the table and told them to wait, so I could get positioned properly with my camera;) Then I said OK turn around and this is a picture of that exact moment......

So Matthew starts reading the Countdown calendar and he's reading and reading and finally in my head I'm thinking COME ON KID!:rotfl: Then I say "Do you know what that means?" and he replies "We're going to Disney World THIS YEAR!" and Bryan says "that's right" and this is what happened next.......

IMG_2255.jpg

Matthew fell to the floor in giddy excitement! All Eric kept saying is "Is that really true?" "Are we really going mom?" He must of repeated that phrase 10 times:goodvibes I guess I did a really good job convincing them there was no way we'd be able to go this year!:thumbsup2

Here are some pics. of them with their Disney themed Easter presents..

It was a MEMORABLE day and the kids are thrilled beyond believe! When they found out we were going for 10 days they screamed and jumped up and down! They would stay forever if they could. Who am I kidding I would too!:rotfl2:

Happy Easter to all of you too! :goodvibes I am working on uploading the pictures now! So hopefully soon I will have an update!:thumbsup2 Thanks for hanging in there!
Not even a quick hint that it went really well or (please say no) really poorly? I am SO Excited! I will have to keep refreshing.

Wanted to apologize for no video of the reveal. Bryan and I are such newbies at posting video that we just can't figure it out right now and I wanted to get the reveal posted for you guys! I am sorry but I hope the pics. and my descriptions helped!:thumbsup2

By the way Bryan said we look like pack racks by all the pics. of my kitchen :rotfl: so please keep in mind that I hosted 14 people (most of them children) here today and my kitchen was turned upside down in preparation!:thumbsup2

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter with your loved ones!:goodvibes

I am only up to "and he replies "We're going to Disney World THIS YEAR!" and my eyes are welled up with tears!!! back to finish reading...

That was the BEST POST EVER!!! I am so excited. They are such good kids and I'm glad they're excited. Do they realize they're going in 4 weeks??? That is such a short time. What a great Easter Bunny!

:jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1:

Tell Bryan the kitchen doesn't look like pack rats and I wouldn't have noticed the 1 BAG of groceries if you hadn't mentioned it. I had to scroll backward to see what was supposedly so "packrat-y". :rotfl:

Happy Easter! What great reactions you got from the boys! It will be here before you know it!

Wow, what a great reveal!!!

You can tell they both were so excited!!

good thing you caught them before they saw the basket before you were ready:thumbsup2

So, are the kids asking you and a million and one questions now about what you all are going to be doing..

I bet they are jumping up and down still:cool1:

Loved, loved loved the reveal!!! :goodvibes

But I couldn't help to notice... I NEVER had such a beautiful (big!) basket left by the... easter bunny :rolleyes1.
Your kids are sure lucky!!! (oh, and of course, they're also going to Disney!) :rotfl:

I'm gonna keep readin'! ;)

Aww they are so cute! Its amazing how teary I get reading about someone else's trip plans but I just know they are gonna have the best time ever. :goodvibes

Our kids are older and have been excitedly planning along with us, but I would have loved to do something like this. That's so great that you got such nice pictures of all the excitement. I'm sure it's something they will never forget. How excited were they when they found out they were going to AKL?

Thanks so much Susan!:thumbsup2 It is so much fun sharing this with all of you! Yes, they do know it is coming up and they were thrilled to take the first # of the countdown calendar tonight before bed!:thumbsup2 Thanks for saying my kitchen isn't pack ratty!:rotfl:

Happy Easter! What great reactions you got from the boys! It will be here before you know it!

Thanks Kelly! Yes, they were FULL of questions, what park first, where are we eating, etc. They were not easy to put to bed tonight!;) Thanks for joining in the excitement!:goodvibes

Loved, loved loved the reveal!!! :goodvibes

Thank you so much! You know on a "normal" Easter their baslets would never look that "full" but instead of just buying things here and there for the trip before hand, I just decided that I would buy it all together and put it in their baskets! It was a very great day:thumbsup2

Aww they are so cute! Its amazing how teary I get reading about someone else's trip plans but I just know they are gonna have the best time ever. :goodvibes

Thanks so much! It is amazing how emotional this can all get! I don't think there is any other vacation destination out there that can draw out such emotions and expectations then Disney!:goodvibes Thanks for posting!:thumbsup2

Thank you! It was ALOT of fun gearing up for the surprise but very stressful at the same time, but it was soooo worth it when I saw the look on their excited little faces! No, they have no clue we are staying at the AKL:rotfl: but that's a story for another post! Thanks for joining in the excitement!:goodvibes

:rotfl2: Just like Susan, I had to scroll back to see if I could find any evidence of pack rats--and found none at all. :thumbsup2 No worries here. Like a little kid--I was more excited by the sign and the fantastic Easter baskets and they weren't even for me! :lmao:

What a wonderful surprise--those boys are going to remember that forever. I'm so excited on their behalf! Not too much longer until you leave, my friend!
