Our 2nd Shot at the Dream Team -TONS OF PICS. 10/28 New PTR LINK

What a wonderful day and more great pictures to boot!! Looking forward to more!

Sounds like you a great first day!!!

I love people watching, too....high heels:scared1:

Bummer about getting middle row i n Soarin, but still an awesome ride!!

Very cool that boys got magical moments certificate:wizard:

So, love the new interactive stuff with Spaceship Earth. Do you do that stuff after you exit the ride? I forget where it dumps you off at, don't remember an interactive area. That is why I am bit puzzled.

Love Topiary pics!!

Boys are cute of course:goodvibes

Can't wait to hear about DHS:cool1:

Your update was awesome! Love all the pictures too, so many good ones. I really want to try Marrakesh but DH said it smelled nasty in the CS in Morocco so I don't want to hear him complain, the belly dancer won't help either  already tried that. The toparies are so pretty. How did Bryan like the updated SE? it definately used to be slower than a pig :lmao: . You had a great first day!!

Is there anything more exciting than the first park day! So glad that you all could ride together... I have a long time until that happens. Love all the AKL details in the pictures!

I LOVE the first park day! It was awesome riding together!:goodvibes

Love the update. Your boys are so stinkin cute!

Thanks!:goodvibes

Great start to your trip, AKL is so beautiful. Did you love staying there? Would you go back?

Thanks so much! Yes, I would go back to AKL in a heartbeat, I have nothing negative to say about it!:goodvibes

Ok, maybe a silly question but is the green side the full ride or the mild side? I plan on going mild so I want to be sure I go the right way! lol!

Green side is less intense, that's the way to go!:thumbsup2

Really enjoying your trip report. We are going for the first time in September to the POR. The AKL looks absolutely beautiful! Looking forward to hearing about the rest of your trip.

Thanks so much! The AKL is gorgeous! How exciting your first trip:cool1: I am sure you will love POR! Thanks for posting!:goodvibes

Actually, you do the interactive stuff when you first get on the ride! It really sounds cool, apparently their is a computer on the car you travel in now!:goodvibes

@dddisrunner...I hope you don't mind me asking a question but you seem sooooo experienced. It is our first trip & I just signed up for tour guide mike. We booked through DU so obviously they are extremely great...but our first three days (parks & dinner reservations) are the exact ones that tgm says a big fat NO, stay away, lol. Would you just keep the itinerary as is or make some serious changes? Thanks so much for any help.

Great job on your report. We were at WDW from the 24-29 at AKL in room 5410. We might have passed each other!

Looks like you are going during free dining right??? If I am correct by looking at your dates I would reccomend Following TGM's advice... especially if you are there during F&W fest

I was curious about tour guide Mike. We are going during free dining with a three year old and a 6 month old. We are definately going to take a slow pace, trying to go early each day to go to the children areas. Do you think it would help us to purchase the tour guide?
TIA

Yes you are right...thanks for the advice!:)

Enjoying your tr.
Sounds like a great first day.

AKL looks beautiful. Love the detailed touches.

Your sons are too cute.

All those people in jeans & sweaters are the Floridians. :lmao:
I used to live in FL, moved to RI 20 years ago, I'm still cold all the time. :sad2:

Glad your son made the height requirement!

Hi! I would definitely follow TGM's advice as far as what park to go to for the day. If you are going during free dining and already made your ressies, it might be hard for you to change them at this point and still get what you want. I would go to the "appropriate park per TGM's advice and then leave and go to your dinner ressies and then you can always go back to that park after dinner. The only glitch would be that you MUST have park hopper passes! I hope that helps!

Thank you so much and WELCOME!:cheer2: That is so funny, maybe we did see one another!:goodvibes

Personally I think his advice for which days to go to which park are worth the subscription price alone! His sight can be a little overwhelming but once you get acclimated it really is VERY helpful! Being that your children are so little, picking the right park should be a priority, because you won't be moving at the pace of most other guests! Good Luck, I'll be happy to help in any way I can!:goodvibes

Duly noted and appreciated! Thank you so very much!!!

Great first day Diane :) I think it's funny how everyone has different ideas of what constitutes hot and cold weather. I think 83 is too hot for walking around Disney, you thought it was just right, and obviously some others thought it was too cold. LOL

Day 2 Part 1 Disney's Hollywood Studios!

Our wake up call came at 7am and this time I let Matthew get it! He was excited and thought it was funny! Bryan grabbed breakfast for all of us and once again we were up,dressed, fed and sunblocked and out the door by 7:55 We made our way down to the bus stops and waited about 5 minutes for a DHS bus:cool1: We were only behind 2 families! Gotta love rope drop!:thumbsup2 Here are a few pictures of us waiting!

Matthew leaning on Eric.....

Me and the boys.......

Well about 8:45 they start letting people through the turnstiles and Bryan leaves us so he can bust a move to fastpass Rock and Rollercoaster! He was going to meet us a The Tower of Terror. We watched the opening show...

I think it was a DISer and her family who opened the park that day, I saw a lime green Mickey head hanging from her bag. They were from Little Rock, AR. Here is a picture of an empty park......

IMG_2570.jpg

The park opens and the mob slowly makes there way to the "BIG TWO" thrill rides, we park the stroller and wait for Bryan. He is there very quickly and we make our way through the Hollywood Tower Hotel! Eric's favorite ride in all of Disney World(so far) here he is thumbs up and ready to go!

We get seated in the middle row! Here is our bootleg picture of our ride picture!:rotfl2: We are on in the middle row, left side. Sorry for the pic. quality...

After the TOT we make our way to the Jedi Training Academy! I had read on the DIS that the 1st show was the best one to go to. So we get their about 20 minutes before showtime. The standby line for Star Tours says 10min. so Bryan and the boys go on and I saved spots for the boys. Well about 5 minutes before show time Bryan and the boys come rushing over and say they didn't even ride because they didn't think they would make it! So we are waiting and Eric is filled with anticipation and so very excited that he might have a chance to fight Darth Vader, truly would be a dream come true for him! We had explained that they can't choose everyone and there was a good chance he wouldn't get picked and he seemed to understand, but you never know with kids. Well the Jedi Master comes out and starts choosing children. They can only choose about 10-12 children and there were 30 kids easy trying to get picked!:scared1: Well we were right up front and I thought our odds were good, Eric had a Star Wars t-shirt on and was showing alot of entusiasm. Well.......................the Jedi Master looked RIGHT IN HIS EYES and then skipped over him and chose a little girl instead:sad2: Needless to say neither Eric or Matthew got chosen. I was so proud of the boys, they handled it SO well. I on the other hand did not and here is why. I feel like there are significantly more things to do and see that are geared solely towards girls, princess breakfast, BBB, GF tea, etc. This Jedi Training Academy is the 1st thing geared towards boys. Well the Jedi Master chose 8 GIRLS and only 4 boys:mad: I am sorry but I think that is just wrong! I may be in the minority and of course I felt bad for my boys but I still think There shoulkd always be more boys chosen for this then girls? OK rant over, sorry!

I have to take the boys to school, I will post more later!
