That certainly would not be a bad thing for me lol
Well cool! Put it on the bucket list!
That certainly would not be a bad thing for me lol
"Main portion"...We had just enjoyed three plated courses, a break and a palate cleanser before we sat down to the main portion of our meal.
ooohhh... magic poultry! That's the best kind. Our next course was poultry, and not just any poultry,
Oh, sure. Turducken. Get it at the grocery store. Here’s a more close up version. Basically it was one of the poultrys rolled inside the other with all the spices and stuff mentioned.
Great shot!I’m not exactly sure what Ken said to her as she walked into the room but it was evidently pretty darn funny.
That sounds very interesting. I get how the steak was cooked, but what made the mushrooms be "velvet"? Was it a puree?Plancha Seared Dry Aged Prime New York, Black Trumpet Velvet, Rioja Jus
I'm not at all surprised! So. Much. Food!Unfortunately with everything that you saw we ate before this I couldn’t even finish half of it. I know that there were two pieces of beef left on my plate when I gave up.
Very nice. The staff was so nice, they brought back a nice little bag with everything all packaged up and when Anthony opened it up there was a sweet little note about how they missed out meeting him and some other niceties.
More food?????Our evening was not nearly done, however.
You can't tell at all that people have had a fair bit of wine.Have a look and listen.
I've been to that Winery. It was paired with an Inniskillin, Cabernet Franc, Ice Wine, VQA, Niagara Peninsula, Canada, 2019.
Not a huge fan of white chocolate, but... the rest sure sounds good.Strawberry White Chocolate Layer Cake, Roasted Strawberry Sorbet
Ah! so what did they do for them, since I'd be in the same boat? Did they pour whites, throughout the evening? Also there were several ladies in our party who couldn’t drink red wine, for this course they had a substitute dessert wine, it was a Dolce from Far Niente in Napa, it’s a non-vintage wine and also incredibly delicious!
I bet! I think you could describe the entire meal that way, no?The consensus was that this was over the top AMAZING!
Some people saved those little petit fours for the next day, I scarfed mine down without a second thought.
Nice way to end the evening. We were invited onto the patio to watch the fireworks.
Love that touch, nonetheless. When we returned from the fireworks, there were gift bags at each of our places. They contained a pastry (I didn’t care for it, I think it was carrot cake), some coffee, and another gift.
Love it. Not too many people are going to have those! This pin was the other gift that I mentioned above.
Nice souvenir. There were also copies of the menu for courses that we had been served at the table that evening.
You guys all look like you've just had the night of your lives. And then we took one last group photo in the sitting room.
But we weren’t done yet. All I can say is “Jenny made us do it!”
And then they escorted us to the door…..![]()
Wow! I can only say that... Wow!They escorted us back to the van, and took us to the hotel. And with that our 21 Royal experience was done.
What a fun way to end the night. When we got back to the hotel room, Jenny invited Jill, Leonard, and I in our Jammies to come snuggle in the beds with them. I had a bottle of wine and some of us were enjoying a wee nightcap. I guess we were making a bit of noise because pretty soon at the back door, Allyson and Dorian knocked. (Remember they were in the room next door). They joined the party too. I think we stayed up until nearly midnight before finally hitting the hay.
well, so to speak"Main portion"...
All the others were just "appetizers" leading up to the main....Three plated courses and not at the main yet!!
ooohhh... magic poultry! That's the best kind.
Oh, sure. Turducken. Get it at the grocery store.

I have no idea. By this time the wine and the food coma were setting and obviously since I missed the previous discussion about it being an upscale turducken, I missed the gist of this one too. It was sort of like Charlie Brown's teacher was talking. That sounds very interesting. I get how the steak was cooked, but what made the mushrooms be "velvet"? Was it a puree?
I'm not at all surprised! So. Much. Food!
See you can tell that we are all quite "happy"!You can't tell at all that people have had a fair bit of wine.
Not at all.

I've had lots of their wines, but never been to the winery.I've been to that Winery.Had the white, though, of course.
I'm not either but when it's got all that other stuff going on, I ate it all.Not a huge fan of white chocolate, but... the rest sure sounds good.
Yes, they gave them whites for the rest of the evening while we were served reds.Ah! so what did they do for them, since I'd be in the same boat? Did they pour whites, throughout the evening?
Pretty much!I bet! I think you could describe the entire meal that way, no?
Almost though!Nice way to end the evening.
Except it wasn't over!!
Nope! But I've actually got a few.Love it. Not too many people are going to have those!
We pretty much did!You guys all look like you've just had the night of your lives.![]()
Shall I put you on the list for the next time? We are already talking about it!Wow! I can only say that... Wow!
Only one thing left to do now.
Do it again with more Canadian friends!![]()
What a fun way to end the night.
I'd probably be too self-conscious to join in, in jammies, but... sounds like just a wonderful ending to a perfect evening.
Thanks so much for letting us follow along!
It’s like I was there.Well as Jill pointed out above this was billed as an upscale turducken.

Okay. I’m in.Yes, they gave them whites for the rest of the evening while we were served reds.
Ah ha!Nope! But I've actually got a few.![]()

Thanks for following along! Thanks for sharing- what a marvelous evening, good food and great friends. Truly magical.
Sounds like you all had a nice ending to a special evening! Thanks for sharing! Now I want some cherries …
Thanks for that clarification! By the time we got that far I was in a food coma and barely heard what the chefs were telling us.The duck dish was described as a take on turducken…..it was a very upscale turducken!.
I was stuffed bu the beef course but I managed to find room for the cherries jubilee and strawberry dessert! It was such an amazing night!
