Oh geez. I need another installment. I'm going through withdrawl. I need to know who the celebrity was! :thumbsup2

I love this trip report! It's a really good idea to put all of your trips this year into one report. I'm very jealous that you are so close to WDW. You have a great family and it's wonderful that you enjoy each other so much. More installments please!

Okay, now I'm getting impatient! Don't make me come find you! ;)

I have a mission:

get this finished before 7/1 -------

cuz we're goin' back to the world via the therapy pool!!

You mean get your whole TR finished? Or just the next installment?

And does that mean?

I am glad I decided to click on your link through your signature. I never would have found this thread.

I can't wait to read more. (I can't believe you have us waiting to find out who the celebrity is at the pool).

C'mon Bad Girl...get on with your bad girl self and give us more...we're waiting.....

Still Wednesday – our first full day….

So after splashing around in the pool we head back to the room to get ready for our 7:20 advanced dining reservation. We’ve been to 1900 Park Fare before…the girls loved it, Charming is all about anything that’s all you can eat and for me, it’s nice because the food is ready immediately – convenient when you are trying to keep little ones from getting ancy – and a bonus – the characters…

We had celebrated Samantha's birthday here, her actual party was here and it was then that Suzy and Perla fell in love with Charming, well his hair rather. See most days he spikes it up and those two had a field day with him and his hair – I was hysterically laughing as were the other guests, but I think after a while it got old and thus led to Charming spouting out:

“Hey V, let’s be spontaneous tonight and go somewhere else.”

Me – my heart started racing and actually skipped a beat or two, my palms became sweaty, the room started to spin (or maybe that was my head) and I certainly felt like I was going to Zzub.

Deep breaths V, deep breaths.

Ok dear, spontaneous is wearing something other than what I have laid out for you, getting a wine instead of a beer or using premium instead of regular. Spontaneous and Disney just don’t mix. Add in the fact that I have searched high and low for matching Cinderella outfits for the girls…if any of you infant girls you know how absolutely hard it is to find a Cinderella costume for 12m size…and I am not talking the Wal-mart ones. Not to mention spending a fortune on them, this was the chance for the girls to wear them and get their photo with Cinderella. (I mean, who knows when we’ll be back right?)

Add in the second fact that this advanced dining reservation is just that ADVANCED! I made these plans long ago and in recent years 1900 Park Fare is becoming increasingly hard to attain.

Did I say any of this out loud? No, all in my head which would probably explain the head spinning thing – I mean I was screaming at Charming – in my head.

So I casually said, “so what did you have in mind?” He asks Samantha what she wants to eat – NOT WHERE and she says “PIZZA!”….hello people, there is pizza on the kids buffet at 1900….!!! I even have the menu printed out to prove it. Then Charming decides he can go for some pizza too…ok Haley it’s up to you – we can have a tie here. Well since she can’t talk and I am the mother, she is siding with me. So we split on what to do. I decide against my better judgment to let Charming have his heyday as I am sure he does plenty of things he doesn’t want to for me, which I have already mentioned but this may come in handy at some point.

So we get dressed in non Disney attire and head down to the valet. Luckily our personal valet guy is there and Charming tells him we would like a pizza place…a non chain restaurant. He tells us about Bruno’s which is on I92 really pretty darn close to the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We drive along and actually pass it – it is in a small strip mall and you have to be looking for it to see it. It was a tiny place not crowded at all and upon entering we were greeted by whom I presumed to be “Bruno” himself.

We were seated at a booth and OMG, we were smack dab in the middle of The Sopranos. I am not kidding. There was a table of four men…all they needed was a couple a cigars and we would have been right by Tony. I immediately began looking for ways to take cover and for all available exits. Seriously. Charming commented that this was hard for me to be offsite – and all kidding aside…I am ok with it – I’m really not that anal.

So we had pizza, Cesar salads, Pinot Grigio and had a Sopranoly good time….luckily the girls didn’t pick up any choice words. It was a good Italian place, the food was good and plentiful, it wasn’t crowded at all and really pretty inexpensive – I don’t have the receipt but it was around $40.

We left Tony and his thugs and right next door there was a tourist trap shop, I am not sure of the name but they had TONS of Disney items. Towels, toys, backpacks, you name it – they had it and it was cheaper than at the world. They also had lots of “Florida” souvenirs such as shells, magnets, etc. Charming bought some things and the girls got a few princess things and we decided to get back to Disney property.

We got back to Animal Kingdom Lodge and to our room in time for the American Idol results show…now, we missed the previous night – so I didn’t see any of the performances – but was happy about Taylor and bummed that Katharine was chosen to stay over Elliot. I like to see the underdog in there too!

Samantha’s bug must have been only last night – she was fine all day (aside from slow moving in the AM) and she was now happily playing on the top bunk with her new trinkets as well as some treat that ole sly Tinkerbell left in our room. We watched AI, some sports and then off to snooze…I did request a wake up call…tomorrow is Epcot and I want to be there when they open!

It was a really good day, would have liked to have done more at MGM but trying to fit things in to be back to the resort in the afternoon is pretty tough. This trip was definitely a lesson in “touring plans” for us. I have wanted to try them well, I’ll give my final thoughts on that at the bitter end! It was hot – hotter than the past few May’s have been, maybe Al Gore is on to something. It was a tad crowded but since we’re pokey…and it was MGM…not really a “line” place – I think it was a pretty darn good day!

Kudos to you for not overriding your DH. Your a better woman than me. I refuse to go off-site to eat. Pizza? We can have that at home. 1900 Park Fare, no so much. ;)

Still waiting on the celeb.

I tried to talk DH into a 4th of July weekend at the BWI. $634 for 3 nights? He didn't go for it. I tried. Course we only have Seasonals. But I wouldnt want to do the parks then anyway, just relax at the resort and DTD. But, instead we're going to West Palm Beach. I tried for Siesta Key, but there wasn't anything. Have a good time at the BWI. :thumbsup2

Great Installment! You forgot to tell us who you saw at the pool though! :)

Brunos... hmm, we'll have to try that. We have been to Giordano's, which is Chicago deep-dish style. The wait is always really long if you go at prime dinner time. But DBF loves it and so I cave in and we go there every couple of trips.

Jennifer

This is such a great trip report!
Thanks for ALL the details.
You have a great style of writing.
I can't imagine how funny you must be after a few drinks.
Who was the famous person at the pool??

Lisa
