Our 1st Christmas Trip - WOW.

dvcreg - yes! that was us wearing the tree garland. I gave it to everyone early in the morning and we wore it all day long (except for my 18 yo DS and my 16 yo DN). Hope we weren't too loud.

Kem, I don't even want to think about the AMEX bill that's coming our way with 7 adults eating our way through two weeks in Mickey World.

HUMBUG!!! You're just a wild and crazy guy!:p :p You weren't loud, just eye-catching.;)

Did anyone else get a bag with goodies in it on Christmas Eve at their resort? At OKW, we got a small white bag with four Nestle Wonder Balls and some mini-candycanes.:D

Reg - I'm a "she" - the guy with the Santa beard is my DB. We celebrated his 50th birthday that week and he wore a birthday cake hat every day except Christmas!

We got the same bag of goodies at VWL and the rest of the family got it at WL, too.

My Amex bill will be very high too - but think of the Membership Rewards points!!! I transfer mine to SW Rewards and fly to MCO for free!!!

While there, I saw the NYE flyer. Get this, it was $500.00 per person

And you didn't go, Regina? It's funny how I never see the CG or the GF NYE event advertised anywhere except, like you, when I'm down there and see a flyer. It is usually something outrageous and I always wonder where the people come from....maybe the same folks return year after year.

One year I looked into CG for Christmas and the price was much higher than the $45 you folks mention. While not cheap, at least that is a reasonable amount. I'm glad to hear it was also quite tasty!

Is Christmas week considered to be less crowded than New Year's week?

They're really one and the same (even though it's more than a "week"). You can figure that the crowds will start to build from whenever WDW defines their Holiday Season (roughly 12/19-21 depending upon how Christmas Day falls) and from 12/25 on you've got crowds that reach critical mass on NYE.
