Yes, you read that right. We actually won a night in Cinderella's Suite!! And, yes, you read that right....we went to Disney with our 13 month old twins on the most crowded weeks of the year! Let's not forget our Ds(7) who was wanting to go FULL SPEED AHEAD and ride everything in sight with 2 hour waits:sad2:

Hi and welcome to my first ever trip report which I have been planning to write since last summer when I became frightenly addicted to reading trip reports. Here is the list of characters in this 6 day/7 night stay:

Me (32)--Mom of three, Huge Disney Fan, asks my Dh every month if we can move to Orlando.
Dh (33--Career Air Force, Stressed out for 9 months about bringing the twins to WDW, also a Disney Fan.
Ds (7)--this is his second trip to WDW and now he's tall enough to ride everything!! Loves Disney, but I think he gets sick of his mom talking about it ALL THE TIME!
Dd Twin (13 months)--Already showing signs of drama queen, lots of high pitched screaming, but also lots of smiles!!
Ds Twin (13 months, 2 minutes younger)--Will eat a horse if you let him, jsut give him food and he is happy, very shy and scared to death of Disney characters!

Anyway, here is a pic of me so you can put a face to this report.

I will have lots of pics of the trip and Cinderella's Suite so don't worry about that. Must go change some diapers now so I'll be back soon..well, as soon as I can;)

You are one brave lady. I can not wait to here about your trip.

Hi and welcome!!! You are one of many who has said that about me being brave.:lmao: I just had to do it for our older son, though. He has had to deal with alot the past year with two screaming babies and all. I could not have done it without my Dh.....I am so blessed to have him:love: Anyway, you are subscriber #2 :woohoo: but I'm sorry you don't win anything either:rolleyes:

How exciting! I can't wait to read all about your trip.

Hey - I have twins and an older son too! We went when our twins were almost two and had a blast - I KNOW you had a fantastic time!

After all - you lived to tell the tale, right?!? :)

Congrats on winning the castle stay - can't wait to hear all about your trippie.

Okay, so anyway, let me give you a quick pre-trip report:

I'm sitting in the salon chair one July day enjoying getting pampered for 2 hours with badly needed fresh highlights and a trim when my stylist, the cute and funny Cathy, starts talking about a hair show in Orlando and how they must make time to go to WDW. Well, I'm thinking  I wish we could take Ds that summer, but there is no way I am bringing 5 month old twins nor I am leaving them for a week. Then, , I could start planning the trip NOW for when the babies turn a year. If we waited until they "were old enough" then our oldest would miss out on enjoying WDW for 8 years since the last time we went was when he was four. So, that is what I did:thumbsup2 So, I planned and planned and planned on The Dis:surfweb: Decided on Easter break only because summer would be too hot for the twins. We waited until Christmas morning to tell Ds!! I had planned to wait and tell him the morning of the trip, but I caved:sad2:

So, the night before the trip arrives:cheer2: and I can't sleep because I am so excited, but I must fall asleep since we are leaving for our 12 hour drive from Louisiana at 3am:eek: I decided on 3am from reading on this website. It seemed to have worked well leaving in the middle of the night when driving long distance with little ones. See, my Dh just let me take over with every detail of planning this trip so whenever he asked me a question about the twins handling the drive or how they were going to nap at WDW or even the bedtime routine I would smile and answer him with every positive bone and confidence I had left. What he didn't know.. I was absolutely freaking about how they would handle the trip almost to the point of panicking. :scared:

2:30am arrives and my alarm didn't go off:eek: No need to worry...I was still awake!! We load the last minute items in the truck and in the brand new luggage storage-hitch thingy on the back of the truck that my Dh insisted we needed (which we did). I lay our Ds7 in the back seat (Ford Excursion) lined with soft blankets and pillows and his clothes for the next day (rather that day) then the test.........go get the babies. We each took a baby and immediately drove away and IT WORKED!!!
They continued to sleep and woke up when we hit Pensacola, FL:woohoo: They had slept through 3 states!! Yay, we were already in Florida!
Here they are just waking up:

Here is Ds7 still out:

I just have to say I am still elated that the 3am plan worked because I just knew it would back fire with my kids just because! It was a real plus because the trip home didn't work out so good.
Let my apologize now for all the typos and run-on sentences in this trip report. I must type super fast since I have to work on this during naps, after bedtime and even the brave moments when I let the babies in the office with me which is the only non-baby-proof room in the house.

How exciting! I can't wait to read all about your trip.
Thank you so much!!!

Can't wait!popcorn::

Nice to have you!!

Congrats on winning the castle stay - can't wait to hear all about your trippie.

You are so right.....I survived it:thumbsup2 In my eyes, that means it was a success! I'm right there with you!!!

Jumping on board. How exciting. One day you can say to your twins when they're older going to Disneyworld while pointing "you stayed in that castle" :cloud9:.

Super cute family - now we just need a pic of the DH to complete the family! You made me lol saying survival equals success - when our twins were smaller my dh said that everyday was a good day when it ended with everyone still breathing!

Also I agree - part of the Disney vacation fun is the planning, and the Dis Boards are awesome!

Cute family! I am super excited about reading this trippie! I can't wait to hear about Cinderella's Castle!!!! Definitely will be subscribing!

Wow, everyone is so nice:) Thank you to everyone for the kind words!

Serendipity--I had tears in my eyes while taking pics of the babies and Ds7 in the suite. Just knowing we will be able to share these wonderful memories of our unforgettable experience. Ds7 will most likely remember and sharing the photographs with the twins years down the road will be so sweet! And for them to be able to share the pics with their own families someday...priceless!

Next installment:
We made it, we made it to Orlando!!!
Me: Where are all the WDW signs?
Dh: Oh, I'm sure we'll be passing them any moment.
Me: Honey, I think we are lost?!
Dh: No way! I have driven this countless times!!
Me: But,.........

I saw you over on the Theme Park Strategy Board-Dream Winner Board and you said you started a TR!
Glad you are finding the time to write a TR. I was there at the same time and I've only been posting by answering questions. I cannot get caught up and I have been home a week.
Looking forward to your TR.

Can't wait to hear your TR. I'm going this summer with ds who will be 14 months, so I'm looking forward to hear how the twins did. By the way, your kids are adorable!

I am on board for this TR. The twin babies are so dear and DS is a cutie as well. Can't wait to hear how it all goes. I am excited for the castle suite installment.
