I would like to thank all of the knowledgeable people on these boards. I planned this vacation for over a year. I didn’t post a lot of questions on these boards; but, I visited almost everyday and learned tons of valuable information. As you read my trip report I try to point out where I received valuable information from these boards. THANKS EVERYONE!

Day 1: Left Little Rock, Arkansas and headed, by plane, for Orlando. Happy Limo picked us up in a nice car and took us to the BC. We were on the concierge level (our first concierge experience) with a view of Stormalong Bay. We were starving so we headed to Beaches & Cream for a late lunch, we used Meal Vouchers we had gotten from Connections (I learned about the meal vouchers on these boards). The food was great, the ice cream even better and you couldn’t beat the price using the Meal Voucher. Next, we headed to the pool and had a great time relaxing and hitting the slide. For dinner we snacked on food in the concierge lounge (DD loved the PB&J sandwiches). We ended the day with the IllumiNations Cruise, which I was able to get by following directions on these boards. The cruise was very nice, I’m glad we did it; but, wouldn’t spend the money to do it again.

Day 2: See Cruise Line Trip Reports

Day 3: See Cruise Line Trip Reports

Day 4: See Cruise Line Trip Reports

Day 5: See Universal Studios Trip Reports

Day 6: See Universal Studios Trip Reports

Day 7: Happy Limo picked DB up and took him to the airport to head home. Happy Limo picked DD and I up to take us to the Polynesian. Our room was not ready (conceirge, lower level, lagoon view). We stowed our luggage and headed to Downtown Disney to have lunch at the Rainforest Café and to shop. We used our Safari Club card to get seated quickly at the Rainforest Café (thanks to these boards). We returned to the hotel, checked in and headed to the pool. DD had a blast. The volcano pool was very cool and the slide fun. I got several cute pictures of DD in the pool. We had eaten a late lunch so for dinner we just ate some of the food from the concierge lounge. We grabbed some hammocks on the beach and watched the Water Pageant and the Fireworks over Cinderella’s Castle. Then hit the beds.

Day 8: We had breakfast at O’hana’s and really enjoyed the character breakfast. DD says she can probably say that she is the only person who has every been hit by Chip. (Chip accidentally hit her in the head when he walked by.) Next it was off to the parks. We have been to WDW several times. Since we only had two days for the WDW parks DD decided to do only her favorite things at Animal Kingdom, EPCOT and MGM, leaving a whole day for the Magic Kingdom. So, this was the day we were to do three parks in one day (YIKES!) We headed to Animal Kingdom and did Dinosaur and the new Whirl ride (she rode it twice). Next we headed to EPCOT. We got in the singles line to ride Test Track (still took quite a while to finally ride it). We went to see Figment, since he was back. Because we had such a filling breakfast, we shared one of the huge pretzels for lunch; then, headed to MGM. We went to Rock N Roller Coaster and TOT right away. We got one Fastpass to ride each ride (I wasn’t going to ride either of them.) Until time for the Fastpasses, we headed to the Great Movie Ride, and we also did the Animation Studio. FYI – Stitch is all over this park, DD is crazy about this little alien, so we took lots of pictures. DD rode Rock N Roller Coaster and TOT. We ate dinner at Mama Melrose’s and got the FANTASMIC passes. DD rode Rock N Roller Coaster 2 more times. We headed to FANTASMIC, got fantastic seats on the front row. However, as we waited for the show to begin (we had about an hour wait) DD and I decided we didn’t feel great (it was really hot). We left the show and headed back to the Polynesian and called it a day.

Day 9: Had breakfast from the concierge lounge and headed to the Magic Kingdom. Took off for Tomorrowland and rode Buzz Lightyear, Space Mountain and Alien Encounter. This was DD first time to view the Alien Encounter and decided she really liked it. Before the day was over, she enjoyed it 4 times. Other rides DD rode were Splash Mountain, Mad Tea Cups, and Haunted Mansion. We had lunch at the Crystal Palace where Tigger tangoed with DD. Staying in a monorail resort is great, we were able to return to the hotel for a 2 hour nap and grabbed snacks and water from the concierge lounge. We left the park just before the fireworks show. We were back in our room with our shoes kicked off in time to enjoy the fireworks from our room.

Day 10: This was our worst day (we had to go home). We ate breakfast in the concierge lounge (note: DD loved the guava juice). Happy Limo picked us up and took us to the airport. We ate lunch at the airport and our flight took off promptly at 2:10pm. However, when we arrived at Atlanta, they would not let us land due to weather. We circled the Atlanta airport until we didn’t have enough fuel to continue to circle. Our pilot took us to Knoxville, TN where we refueled; then, headed back to Atlanta where we finally landed at 7:10pm. We had missed our connecting flight; but, Delta had moved us to a later flight. With our original plans, we were to land in AR by 5:00pm, we didn’t land in AR until 10:30pm. We were pooped!

That’s all until next time. DD and I are trying to figure out when we can go again. We love Disney and now also Universal.

Sounds like you had a fun but busy trip - sorry to hear about the long trip home - but what the memories - thanks for posting!

I'm heading over to the cruise line board to read those reports. I loved it when DD knew what she wanted to do and how to do it. You certainly got a lot done in one day. Thanks for posting.
