I can see a lot of people being disappointed if this 15/20/25/30 % discount is their offer and it also reads as if the offer is only good for villas @ OKW and SSR. Makes sense they are trying to promote summer travel before fall/winter but why drop the discount so low ?

just called to make my dining reservations, and I'm booking more than 180 days out, due to my check in date at the CBR. Very hard to find a slot open at Coral Reef, Les CEllier, CRT, and Les Chefs de France during our 8 day stay. Was only able to find a spot at les chefs. I checked all hours of the day as well. This might have something to do with a delayed release of any fall discounts.

I had the exact OPPOSITE experience. We are arriving 9/23 and I got everything I wanted within 10 mins of my desired times (busy ones too, 9am bfasts, 6pm dinners): Le Cellier, Chef Mickey, Akershus Princess, 50's prime time, Tusker House, Coral reef etc. It was the easiest booking I have ever done and we go every year multiple times.

With that bad offer, it really looks like they are just buying time. Maybe they havent even 100% decided on the specifics of the fall offer?

You are correct it was not there yesterday. THe only thing on the website was the AP and FL res discounts (which I didn't recheck to see if the same or changed) The FL res and AP discounts usually run through the last day of the offer and now it seems these lesser GP discounts are as well. I guess maybe they are waiting a while to release the next offer most likely for FD. They also have had room only discounts during the FD as well (and AP room discounts too)

I already booked FD with the pin code, but my brother and his girlfriend are thinking about coming with us and I know they'll only go with a good deal, so I'm really hoping for something good as well! I remember last year while I was waiting for something to be released there was a post saying that the deals were released on tuesdays and another day later in the week, which I can't remember. So.... maybe it will be tomorrow! Or, as someone already mentioned, today is not over yet.......

You can book up to 3 rooms with a PIN and if they are travelling with you you can book a room with your discount just so you know!

Iger did say Disney would "scale back" significantly on discounts. I wouldn't be surprised if they cut free dining.

At this time there are no offers released for that time yet. I'd be VERY surprised if there was NO offer at all for that time, there is always some type of offer. It may not be free dining, but they should have something.

Yeah, I agree with that.

My ADR date for my potential October trip is coming up next weekend. I guess I'm just gonna book the ADRs and hope I can get there. lol.

WOW, this is really baffling. THink how many diff't discount offerings have been made available for summer?

• Spring thru 6/3 had the best discounts going up to 45%
• Then it was Spring thru 8/14 and the best disc was 40%, again scaled back for mods and value resorts
• Then there was the pkg deal w/ the "free" gift card offer. Card value depended upon your hotel classification. Again for travel thru 8/14.
• A SIGNIFICANT # of ppl were offered a pin code for free CS dining....thru 8/14
• Disney VISA offer came out for children stay, eat & play free....thru 8/14
• And now this new discount, lowering the bar yet again on room discounts for stays...yup, until 8/14
• Oops, and didn't mean to forget any bounce back promos which I believe were the best deals of all and good for all of 2010!

I'm booked uned theearlier room only for values promo'n and REALLY was hoping for the pin for free QS dining! But I'm happy w/ what I have....and SHOCKED they still haven't released anything for late summer travel. Amazing!

Darn I jumped on first thing this morning to see what was there too and nothing. We have most of our ADR's already and will just hope for a good AP rate, but really would rather have FD (it works out even w/ buying the 1 day MYW ticket for us). Maybe it will open up next month. This current 20-30% is only thru peak season free dining has always been for off peak so maybe they are just going to wait later to open it up this year.

I remember the first year FD was offered it was not offered until much later than how it has been in recent years. I was lucky enough to get a pin card about this time of the year for the first fall FD promo. We jumped on it. Then I remember that FD became a promo available to everyone much later in the season. I would not be suprised if Disney just choose to wait until a little later to release their fall promo, whatever it may be. They have been good to us as of recent giving longer "heads-up" for promos, but with their recent claims of scaling back, I can see them going back to just a couple of months notice for the next season's discount. I could be wrong, and hope I am just my 2 cents worth........

First off, the Free Dining for Visa Card holders is not going to be announced on the Disney website. That is an advance booking window for DV card holders only. The FD promotion that will be on the Disney website will be for the general public released after the pre-booking window for the cardholders (like in the past). The FD for DV cardholders will either be notified by DV (or rumors will be leaked out by others who were notified). You won't see anything on the Disney website until the public gets it, so most likely 3 days after DV cardholders know and you'll know and be ready and won't have to watch the Disney website. Make sense?

And they also had blackout dates over Easter for their spring promotions which were subsequently lifted. CLEARLY they still want to pack the parks, and it won't happen during hurricane season, in the heat of late summer, after school starts......... without some form of free dining.

Be patient. It will happen.

I doubt the kids eat and play free would be the fall promo because it doesn't work for everyone. Not every person loves FD but technically anyone could get it and save $$ with it. To take advantage of Kids eat and play free you have to have kids in that age range and many people don't so, I'd be surprised if that was the only deal, too narrow of a demographic to benefit from it. Plus this is a time of year when kids are in school so I doubt that promo would fill rooms the way FD hs in the past. Some people will pull kids out, but many won't and for that deal, it might not be worth it.

I don't know if FD will come, but I think either it will or something else good will. Disney won't risk empty rooms and empty parks during hurricaine season.
