ouch, my fingers hurt

I grouted our bathroom floor last night. Took a couple of hours. My plastic trowel broke that I was using to get the grout out of the bucket, so I used my fingers. An hour into the project, I noticed something red in the grout. It was blood from my fingers. All the skin on the tips was worn off, like what happens to your feet in a rough pool. I had to go ahead and finish. I now have bandages on three fingers of my right hand, and they are oozing. How dumb was I? It's taken me five minutes just to type this. Neosporin seems to work, but they still hurt sooo bad. I am a secretary, all I do is type, it's going to be a very long day.

Ouch! I feel for you. Try and ease up on the typing today. I know with your job it might not be possible, but maybe you could do other things to relieve your fingers. I'm sending you some pixie dust so they heal faster.

thanks. couldn't even put in my contacts this morning, so I'm wearing dorky glasses to work. I'm hoping to go home early due to the snow (up to a foot more). Then I will sit and sip tea and rest my weary fingers. I guess you could say I worked my fingers to the bone last night, lol!!
