My poor DH had to go to work today, while I have the day off. So what would any self-respecting wife do? Throw her bike in the Explorer and head to FtW!!
When I arrived at FtW at about 11:30am, the temp was a balmy 90 degrees. Onward I press.
Here's the "Freeloading Mobile". Notice that the cupholder conveniently holds a re-fillable mug!!!
Getting ready for new lights on the main road from check-in:
The renovation of the 1900 loop is now complete:
The renovation of 1800 is only half done:
This is a sight not often seen at FtW. Anyone want to rent a cart?
This is site 303. These people have been at FtW since Nov 07 that I know of... lucky stiffs!!
Here is the ellusive "shed" that provides the sound for the Wishes Fireworks for the Hayride:
After biking all the loops on the west side of FtW, it's time for refreshment in my re-fill mug:
....and a little break at Clementine's Beach:
This next picture is for Al's benefit.... Stall #2:
Another sight not often seen at FtW. The golf cart parking area by Settlement Bus Stop:
And finally.... a picture for the best Trip Reporter of all times....TCD!!!
I rode all the loops with the exception of 2000, group camping, and the cabin loops. I got plumb tuckered out! I took a mental count of the empty spaces and I would say that FtW is about 65-70% occupied. Each loop had 7 to 10 empty spaces.
That is all until my next adventure!!!
The Otter Spotter!!
