My DBF are going on a 12 day trip to disney in May and I dont want to spend all the days at the parks. We have 10-day Park Hoppers so we can't go to the parks 2 days that we are there. We are going to Universal one of the days. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of other things to do. We are also on a budget, so expensive things aren't too great, but hey, the idea is awesome =) We're up for anything, but I just dont want to be bored going to the park already seeing everything. Thanks for everyones help in advance! Can't wait to hear those great ideas!

This suggestion may be tempting money wise, but just walking around downtown is so much fun! I say it's tempting because of all the Disney merchandise but last time I was there (which WAS '98, but Disney seems to only get better each year right!?) the landscaping and the shops and the decorative touches in Downtown were just so FUN, and walking around Downtown was so leisurely. That's my recommendation.
My other suggestion is GO RESORT EXPLORING. My DF and I plan to do this on our honeymoon. They are all so different and so beautiful. just spend the day traveling around looking at everything~ It gives you a chance to take a minute REALLY appreciate where you are and who you're with and helps you remember it for always!

Have fun!

Inexpensive things to do on non-park days:

- lounge by the pool at the resort.

- visit some different resorts. You can get on the resort monorail and visit the 3 monorail resorts. They are so pretty, and you can browse the shops, look at the different restaurants, walk on the beaches, etc. Or head to the Epcot resorts- the Boardwalk is really fun. There is lots of evening entertainment- jugglers, camedians, magicians, and other fun acts.

- head to Downtown Disney. Lots to do there! We like to browse at all the cool shops, play with the Legos at the Lego store, get some candy at Goofy's Candy Co, and just enjoy the atmosphere.

- play some Disney mini-golf.

- head over to Fort Wilderness- there is a cute little petting zoo there, and you can visit the off-duty horses in their barn. There is even a nightly FREE campfire and outdoor movie for all guests (you don't have to be staying at FW to participate). Hay rides are less than $10 per person.

Have a great time!!
