Other Reservation Nights

Where/What is the best way to make reservations for the other nights you are staying at WDW (not using the Vacation Club)...for example our trip in July 2003 we will probably be doing 4/5 nights at Beach Club and then another 3/4 at another Disney resort? Should I book these nights through the Vacation Club or online or through my AAA travel agent?

Also...how much nightly is it for Beach Club 1 Bedroom? what is the nightly rate....and can you choose to stay there and pay the other nights yourself?

1. As to using DVC Member Services (MS) to make the ressie: (a) if you are going to try for the 25% discount for DVC members for cash reservations, then you must go through MS; however, getting rooms with that discount is often very difficult and often not something you can get until you are close to the arrival date; (b) if you want to make regular cash ressies through Disney, MS can also do that (but all they actually do is contact Central Reservations (which you can also do yourself).

2. If you are looking for other Disney related discounts then who you call depends on which ones you are going for; for example if it is a AAA discount then go through it; if it is a Disney Club discount you should use the 800 number DC provides; if it is Annual Passholder or code discounts then calling Central Reservations is the way to go, although you likely won't know if and what those discounts will be until sometime into 2003.

If you make a DVC ressie and a cash ressie, it is possible to have the two linked so you will not have to change rooms (some but not all at MS and CRO know how to do that). If you have problems in advance hotel can do it when you arrive.
