Ok...I have read all about the Connections vouchers and I believe I get the jist (although my, oh my, there is a lot of info to absorb!)
Forgive me if I ask a stupid question, but it's past midnight and I can't go through the entire board looking....
These connections vouchers...are they better than a Disney dining package? With all these vouchers available, do they still even offer a dining package through Disney? If so, has anyone used both systems and found one better than the other?

Of what does a "Disney Dining Package" consist? I have truly never heard of a "DDP".

Actually, I was referring to buying a package. Like when you make hotel reservations then add on packages of meals. I saw it on the Disney website. We have 5 kids and it costs at least $60-70 per meal, so this time I was thinking of getting an all-inclusive thing like a friend of mine had done some years back. I figured I wouldn't have to stress every time I spent money on a meal if it was all paid for already.

I guess in the World of Disney, features and packages change so often that what was available years ago is now far outdated.

Are you referring to the Silver and Gold Plans? These include "wishes" that can be used to purchase meals. The cost of the Silver Plan is $68/night for adults and juniors and $35/night for children. Each person gets 2 "wishes" per night. Most meals in sitdown restaurants cost one "wish".

I would find it difficult to eat 2 sitdown meals per day but the wishes can also be used for parasailing, Cirque du Soliel and spa treatments. The "wishes" are cumulative and can be spent by any member of the family, so a child's "wishes" could be spent by an adult. And you could spend all your "wishes" on the same day, you don't need to limit yourself to 2 per day.
