Do you think any other cruise line will put a ship in Port Canaveral next summer to attract the east coast business that the Magic will lose? Lotsofboys, in the post Comments from DCL, said that DCL is contractually obligated to Port Canaveral to pay for a certain # of cruises even if they weren't going. I can't imagine that DCL would share their terminal with others, but there might be space at another terminal for another ship. I just read a post on the cruise critic board about Sovereign of the Seas getting an extensive renovation in November (just after the Wonder drydock!). Maybe it's to siphon off some of the overflow that DCL won't be able to accomadate due to decreased capacity (and people's impression that SOS is "old").
It might be nice to have another (temporary) option for those of us who won't got o CA to sail.
Any thoughts?

Nothing was mentioned in the Florida today (local newspaper in Brevard County, home of the port). That does not mean that some line won't fill the spot.

I doubt it. Moving a ship to Port Canaveral would mean a loss of business at whatever port that ship usually docks. And like DCL, that line would have a contract with it's original port for number cruises. So it is very doubtful.
