Other Hawaii Timeshares

While we love Aulani - also looking at the Marriott Ko Olina timeshare since it is nearby and frankly, seems a little more budget friendly. We were only looking at Ko Olina to be sure to stay "near" Aulani to join DVC family members - but if Not looking to be near Aulani, and trying to do more "timeshare homework" are there other beautiful Hawaii based timeshares you recommends looking at while we are shopping? We know we want one in Hawaii for every other year - Oahu make sense due to the number of flights available - but a quiet location, beach, near some amenities such as local restaurants - a plus.

Not in Ko Olina, but there are quite a few Hilton GVC properties at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Tons of listings for Marriott Ko Olina and the Hiltons on TUG

Stayed at Marriott's Kauai Beach Club a few years ago and completely loved it. Great location between the west side of the island (the Grand Canyon of the Pacific-pic 1) and the north side of the island (Princeville - which has great morning boat tours of the Na Pali coast - pic 2) - and not too far from the airport, which is nice if you fly in and are a bit jet lagged.

It is a hotel conversion instead of a pure timeshare so there are compromises in the floorplans but the balcony view made it worthwhile for me (pic 3). If you are a purist, there are other great options on Kauai but definitely take a look there...
