My son and my daughter and her familly are there right now. He is a travel agent specializing in Disney. Has a trip planned in May for people in wheel chairs. It's called "Free Wheelin' Disney", I think. But, I think my DH is going to go with him. The second week in May is not a good time for an administrator to be off campus for a week.
He flew "solo" today and was to meet up with his sister at one of the parks. She called 30 minutes ago to let us know he had not gotten there and was 45 minutes late. Needless to say I could see him lost in Orlando in his electric chair.
Just received a call saying they were together. I know he is 23 but allowing him to be free in that chair is hard. He can walk short distances but his legs are shortened and he has no arms.
He is a Disney Nut! He is safe with his sister. Now I can breathe.

Do you see a pattern here? I thought I did too but
Maybe, and it's a huge maybe, the kind you tell yourself just so you don't get too depressed, we can go for MNSSHP in 2005. I have to do some serious penny pinching to make it happen and I absolutely hate pinching pennies.
but we are going Oct 29th and staying for five nights for Halloween. We being my son and I. Daddy and baby are staying home this trip.
And then planning a trip while DH takes the kids to the inlaws between Xmas and New Years but recent developments at my DH's work may torpedo that unfortunately. We'll see.
Not any time soon, I'm afraid. My best friend, her 2 wonderful kids, and her DH who has been stationed in Iraq for several months are going next week. We were supposed to meet them there but DH couldn't get off work, and we really couldn't afford it, unfortunately. We may go to Disneyland near the holidays so DH can see his uncle who is not doing well. DH is a school police officer, so he only gets to take time off when school's out....
Have fun, those of you who are lucky enough to go!!!
