OT- What do you consider to be "Distinctly Canadian"

I really hate to say it, but our Chinese food leaves their's in the dust in compared to the quality and authenticty of it. I didn't really how spoiled we were when it comes to Chinese food until we drove down to DL last year. When we stayed in Medford, Or we hit the most popular Chinese food place in town and ordered the special. When we got it, my son looked at me and asked when we were getting some "GOOD" Chinese food:rotfl2::rotfl2:. Need I say more.

I can't remember whose is whose, but the words couch, sofa and chesterfield. I think in the U.S. they only say sofa?
Gray/Grey

Apparently our Mountain Dew has no caffeine, but theirs is loaded with it.

I 100% agree we were Seattle, and went out with friends from there to "their favourite place" it was terrible

didn't British Canadians burn down the white house in the 1800's too?

I read all the way through and didn't see Maple syrup and maple candies at all mentioned. those are distinctly Canadian.

I did something like this with My brownie troop it's an all across Canada badge. we sure learned alot about other parts of Canada that we didn't know before

US makes it too

Vermont is the biggest U.S. producer, with 920 thousand US gallons (3,500,000 l) in 2009, followed by Maine with 395 thousand US gallons (1,500,000 l) and New York with 362 thousand US gallons (1,370,000 l). Wisconsin, Ohio, New Hampshire, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Connecticut all produced marketable quantities of maple syrup of less than 120 thousand US gallons (450,000 l) each in 2009.[6]
